:003: I'm looking forward to the game a wee bit more now simply due to the fact I haven't seen or played a game of football for a while now. I don't think we will win but keeping the fingers crossed just in case. And if all else fails we can just boo Darren Mackie :003:

We Need A New Manager For Next Season
Do you think that our keeper is the current weakest link in the team? If so you can't have seen many games.

Who should replace Brewster?
Raiths good form at the start of the season evaporated under McGlynn. Did you see some of their results? Hysterical stuff. As a result it is pushing the boat out to say that he is loved in Kirkaldy when they are likely to only be in the pay offs yet again for the 3rd season running.

Yantorno a left back? :017: He might indeed be better as an attacking option down the left in a Juanjo style play maker role. But everyone knows how often Juanjo was in and then out of the game.

Players For Next Season
I have only seen us play Gretna twice (I think). I don't even know if Yantorno played against us in the league at Inverness *checks match report* Turns out he was playing and that shows (for me anyway) how little an impact he made. He made even less of an impression at Fir Park but at least I did see him in that game. Point is, he is a luxury player and drifts in and out of games and you can go a long time without even seeing him do anything. I don't think we can afford that kind of player nor could I see such a player coming in under Brewsters stewardship. That said, a bit more creativity wouldn't go amiss!

Dennis Wyness
To an extent perhaps. How many weeks did we have "Player X will sign his deal by the weekend" in the papers recently for Duncan, Tokely and Wyness? Also Black a couple of seasons back. For Duncan in particular I seem to recall about 4 maybe 5 Monday mornings with the story in the P & J stating he would be "signing soon". While the intricate details of the contracts might not be revealed the club seem pretty keen to get out (misleading) stories about players signing deals.

I would agree with that. I was delighted when Gretna were promoted last year. They were certainties to go back down and I would have been much more concerned had Saint Johnstone been promoted instead. The money issues just compounded their problems but there was never any doubt that Gretna were going to be relegation fodder. This year however both Hamilton and Dundee appear to be a much stronger proposition than Gretna and I can't see either of them faring as badly as Gretna have done this season. Next season the bottom 6 is going to be a lot more competitive and I fully expect us to be down there fighting for our lives. St. Mirren are improving and will have the boost of a new ground next season, Falkirk are steadily progressing so out of the three or four sides you would expect to be in the bottom six we are the ones who have stagnated somewhat. We will hopefully have enough to pull away in good time but next season could be very hard going indeed.

Why does everyone obsess over Yantorno?

Safe
Certainly a sizeable proportion of this site were thinking/expecting top 6 this season. While we have avoided relegation we are now "reduced" to striving to avoid finishing 2nd bottom. Quite a turnaround in peoples hopes and expectations.

We Need A New Manager For Next Season
I don't even know where to start with that one but if you honestly think that Fraser is the weakest link in the team then I can only assume you have some kind of vendetta against him as over the past couple of months there have been players who have performed considerably worse than him.

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : matchday thread
The poster doesn't slag Vigurs off at all in the text you have quoted. Indeed he praises him for his classiness and passing.

Who should replace Brewster?
Hughes would never leave Falkirk to come to ICT.

I may not be a fan of his but that won't help. Concentrate on booing Darren Mackie :003:

Let's be honest - is anyone really surprised at this result?

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : matchday thread
I think that sounds right. The commentators mentioned Tokely playing on the right side of midfield so I think the back three will take the formation you have suggested Chris. Therefore I guess Vigurs will be in CM. Good call. Killie score. Sounded like a belter of a free kick.

Certainly sounds like a very different line up or maybe some folk are out of position? We're winning though so that's good.

Dennis Wyness
One thing we should all know by now is that he is a confidence player. A good run in the team and he gives you goals and sets up chances for others. Has he honestly been given that recently as Brewster sticks with his 4 - 5 - 1 formation and Wyness is limited to fleeting subs appearances? He got a chance earlier in the season and look what happened. We went on our best run of the season.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Best wishes Denzil and good luck playing with Golly, McCulloch, Hart and Xander next season :003:

Brewster's record at DU
Brewster did well for us first time round as he was still playing and scoring goals. He didn't play at United and his managerial record was abysmal. He is now no longer playing for ICT and is reliant solely on his "skills" as a manager.

Dennis Wyness
When has any ICT striker scored 20 goals in the SPL? Dargo would be the only one that springs to mind but even he might not quite have hit 20. I'm not sure. Teams like us won't have 20 goals a season forwards in our squad. We will be lucky if we have a couple of players (strikers) that hit double figures. Wyness was key to our fantastic run earlier in the season. But then again perhaps Brewster has forgotten this?

You say you don't want rubbish players but say we should get Mountinho from Falkirk.

GRETNA RESIGN FROM SFL
Motherwell have the most to lose if Gretna go bust having taken 9 points from them. Dundee United would be the biggest gainers having only beaten them once :015:
