Relegation a reality?
Erm, I never mentioned anything about people being owed money/creditors there but I am havingone of those days so I could well have missed it. I am talking about fans who supported them for many years before Brookazade turned up possibly losing their football club forever. I wouldn't be best pleased if someone bought ICT only to run it into the ground through shocking financial mismanagement in a few years leaving us with nothing. Announcement due soon apparently...

Relegation a reality?
I agree. A merge might also make things a bit murky. Who was the Gretna manager before "Super Ro"? Apparently 2 managers are owed ?100,000 and ?800,000 - ?900,000. The latter I expect to be Alexander who had a "contract for life" according to Brookazade.

Relegation a reality?
There is a thread on the Non ICT forum discussing this very topic incidentally. What about the fans who supported the team "Pre Mileson" and now face the prospect of their team sinking into oblivion because of one mans desire to play real life Football Manager? They will be left with nothing.

Gary McSwegan
Is John Brown still registered as a player? Maybe they just want to get in shape for the next round of Masters Football.

GRETNA RESIGN FROM SFL
Very surprised how little interest there is in this topic. Anyway, Gretna have had 10 points deducted after administrators moved in and radio reports are stating they need to find ?30k to be able to fulfil Saturdays game with Aberdeen! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tna/7291519.stm

Hi Tony, There is a thread on this very subject already running. You can find it here: http://www.caleythistleonline.com/communit...hp?topic=6222.0 Cheers, RiG :003:

Michael Owen
Michael Owen isn't exactly doing to well these days himself and he has the cheek to seek a pay rise when they sit down to discuss his new contract soon. Tell you what lad, play some football and stick the ball in the back of the net like you are paid to do!

How to contradict yourself in one post! :015:

Refreshing article in paper
Looking at this thread you can see how split the opinion is of Tokely these days and therefore why him signing a new contract might not generate the positivity as it once did.

Another week Still no Contracts
Even without his goals he is still a pretty creative force in our team and has excellent ball control which, when we decide to pass the ball!, is particularly useful to have. He needs a good run in the team to get the joints moving freely and I think he can weigh in with a decent return of goals.

Refreshing article in paper
Thing is Bronson it's only a positive story if you are a fan of Tokely and recently there have been a growing number of posters who feel that he might not be offering the club what he used to. As a result this isn't a positive story in their eyes.

Duncan
He is? Doesn't seem to be affecting his chances of being in the starting XI if true. He's had a great run of selection in the first team. How me miss him :007:

GRETNA RESIGN FROM SFL
I've mentioned it on here before but Gretna owe one of their creditors/parent companies ?5 million! That is a staggering amount to have built up in little under 4 seasons since the money started getting pumped in. Their statement on their website is utter garbage: Gretna off the pitch are a complete joke with what appears to be no contingency plan in place should Brooks fall ill. The fact that because he is ill means that the whole club falls into the hands of the administrators speaks volumes for how much of a sham they are. As many said during their rapid rise he was simply playing a game of Championship Manager with the team. They were falling apart about a year ago when main stay players started getting released as the full scale of their money problems started to become clear and now all the wheels have fallen off. Interestingly, few people have chosen to criticise Gretna for this as most still wrapped themselves up in the Living The Dream stuff that followed the club. Gretna weren't sustainable in SFL3 let alone in the SPL. They had single players on more than the entire East Stirling team! They have lived well beyond their means and they are now getting their comeuppance due to being unable or unwilling to rein in their spending. I acknowledge ICT have had monetary difficulties in the past but their was always some action resulting from it. At Gretna we have seen nothing of the sort and Graham Muir and Mick Wadsworth have perfectly exemplified the amateurish status of this club with some hysterical comments in the media recently. I am looking forward to the next BBC documentary on Gretna and their "Living The Dream" rot. It's going to be a good one.

I didn't say that I knew. I said that "Yes" there will be someone who knows what the average wage is for an ICT player a week :003:

I was being serious! I think it is Craig Brewster

GRETNA RESIGN FROM SFL
Probably because they (the SPL) don't want the hassle of having one of their clubs going into administration. I'd imagine they will be hoping that Gretna can limp till the end of the season then fall apart in the SFL.
