    Golly

I don't think our defence coped with the pace and good link up between Kean(e) and Sutton. Those two looked very sharp up front and seem to have struck up a very good partnership. Much like Wyness and Dargo from last season. In fact the St. Mirren team resembles the ICT in a lot of ways. Strong defence with a very tight midfield that doesn't give much away and a front two who work well together and look likely to score goals. Of course I am not basing this on today after ICTs performance :015: but St. Mirren can do well in this league and I wouldn't be suprised to see them a bit clearer of the relegation battle than some might think. But we need to get our ***** in gear ASAP. Aberdeen Away then Hearts at Home followed by Hibs Away and then Celtic at Home - I think doesn't look like we'll get lots of points for a bit :007:

    New Shoes!

Well not quite - more new seats. What banterful seats they are as well! :001: Shame about the result but that was one good thing about today :003: "Wake up!" :015: :015: :015:

    Golly

You are right Mantis. There was a cheer when he went off. No wonder our players hate playing at home :006:

    Your Call

Apparently an ICT fan rang in to complain about the St. Mirren fans jumping over the wall when they scored! :015: Some Mirren fan phoned back saying that Dargo dived to win a penalty in the first half. Did notice int he second he had his legs taken from under him but he struggled on to try and win the ball back. Had he gone down I think we would have had a penalty :007:
  6. The criticism of Golly is to be expected but Charlie did him no favors by playing a midfielder who plays an attacking central role on the left wing to support him. I lost count of the number of times that Rankin had left the left hand side to come infield leaving Golly alone of the left flank. This lead to little creativity on that side and thus resulted in these crossfield balls being played. Gollys distribution was poor but I think people should look at the other cogs in the team and question whether one was turning well enough to allow others to function properly. Caff is also not a right back. If Tokely was injured stick Proctor or Parratt in there. Not a central defender. Rankin was out of position. He did well though. But just because he has a left foot does not mean that we have found a Barry Robson style left midfielder. Not sure if St. Mirren deserved the win but they certainly looked to be a very well organised team capable of finishing well clear of the relegation battle. In fact they play the game just like us. Solid in defence and keep it tight in midfield. The game was like our 3 - 0 defeat to Falkirk last season. Falkirk played the way we play Away and we couldn't break them down. The same happened today and St. Mirren took their goals well. And their keeper will get an assist for the second!!! :015:
  7. Charlie has said that we can expect changes for next weeks game against Aberdeen.
  8. http://www.thejailender.com/index.php?opti...56&Itemid=1 Did the County fans really outnumber the Home fans?
  9. Gate I would have thought.
  10. By my calculations United have an average finishing position of 9th in the SPL. ICT have an average of 7.5 :003: Aside from one season where they finished 5th, United finish around the same level, if not below ICT :015:
  11. It's not the actual team. It's the 20 man squad or something like that.
  12. I assume you mean the team for tomorrow? Doesn't sound good like :007: Where did you see this by the way? I can't find it.
  13. Cheers chief. In my mind that constitutes tapping up.
  14. Have you got a link to this rumour? If so then ICT could surely report Yinited for talking to their players without seeking permission?

    The Boy Proctor

"I'll see you in the bogs with Cyril!"
  16. 1) No you didn't. You only have to look to your past moves in the market to realise that you have a history of foul play when it comes to transfers. 2) What a bold statement to make without even speaking to the players. How does he know this? (Not you IHE! :016:)
  17. Who you asking there? If it's me I'll say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 :003: P.S. I have no idea how the lottery works anymore - there seems to be about 5 different versions!
  18. Congratulations once more on stating the obvious! :015:
  19. I think Hearts will win the league actually. 100% serious.
  20. I am reliably informed that St. Mirren will play with 11 players on the pitch on Saturday. Can't say who told you though! :016: But one won't be Bullock allegedly :007:
  21. Kinda stepping on my point here! :015:
  22. Someone on the P & J site has made a good point... How can Dundee United know that the players wish to speak to them? Seems that they have spoken directly or indirectly to our guys without our clubs permission then if what they say is true? Time to report Mr. Thomson and Mr. Brewster to the relevant authorities?
  23. The current lack of a response from the club makes we wonder if we have accepted these new bids...
  24. Been saying it since February :004: (2/3 of the way down) See I care for the Gypos :003:
