Good interview with Tansey here with some very interesting comments about his time at ICT.

Oh, that Alan Douglas... https://www.strathspey-herald.co.uk/news/man-who-posted-sectarian-comments-on-rangers-fans-website-walks-free-172517/ I am completely stunned to see that he is a glory hunting, knuckle dragging Rangers fan.

Any financial help that can be provided to the club will need to be made without the prospect of getting anything in return for the reasons set out above. They can't offer us anything really as we just don't know what the next few weeks / months are going to bring.

The club have asked players to take a 20% pay cut and defer bonuses.

I'm struggling to recall the advice but should the "player" not remain isolated for a period of seven days from the symptoms first cropping up? I know they won't be playing for a while anyway but still...

Glad you liked it. I was very surprised when asking folk who to keep that Doran didn't get more of a mention!

The Scottish Government has confirmed one case of COVID-19 in the Highlands. Is this McHattie or someone else?

Matchday Thread Inverness CT -V- QOS : Matchnight Thread
RiG replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
Agree entirely with @Robert. We did seem to struggle with the space in behind the left and right full backs and the left / right sided centre backs for a while leading to some testy exchanges but once that settled down and grabbed a couple of goals we were on easy street. I was worried when I saw Toddy line up in the centre of defence but he was excellent. As one ICT fan said on Twitter it says a lot about Brad McKay when a striker looks more comfortable at CB than he does. Nice free kick from Keatings and his set pieces again were excellent however I thought the midfield three also worked well. Using three from Trafford, Welsh, Carson and Vincent worked well against Livi and did so again the other night. I wonder why we don't employ it against United sometimes (albeit with 4 at the back). Storey was a lot more useful when played through the middle and Harper looked like he had been in the team most of the season. Hope to see more of him.- 28 replies

Matchday Thread Alloa -V- Inverness CT - Matchday Thread
RiG replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
Daylight robbery. We should have been absolutely pumped rotten today. I can barely remember troubling Parry until a couple of minutes from the end when Walsh flashed a shot just over / onto the bar. The rest of the game Alloa took us to pieces aided by some lacklustre defending from us. There was no one with the entire mountain range of the Ochils to stop Alloa taking the lead with Connelly having far too much time and space to lash a shot beyond Ridgers. Apparently it took a deflection but it was hard to see for sure from the other end of the ground. Not too long later the second arrived. Harsh free kick against White for handball but again we looked shoddy defending the resultant cross which found Trouten at the back post and he tucked the ball in from close range. There didn't look to be any ICT player in close attendance and if there was there were still other Alloa players unmarked in an apparent breakdown of who was marking who. Our only real chance came when White tried to seize on a knock down but from a couple of yards out he couldn't connect with the ball and Parry gathered. Second half Alloa initially seemed to sit in before quickly realising that a defensive pairing of Brad Mckay and Kevin McHattie can be easily be gotten at and set up utterly destroying us. Star of the show Scott Banks tested Ridgers when he broke free and curled a lovely shot towards goal but Ridgers leapt across to block it. Alloa then missed what looked like an easy chance to get that third goal. Alloa forced Ridgers into a save but, with the ball bobbling just in front of him, he couldn't hold on and the ball broke free to an onrushing Alloa player who rounded Ridgers but then hit the post from a yard or two out. Banks again showed real class as he did spin after spin to dance through the ICT midfield and defence and he was unlucky to see another good effort go over the bar and Alloa had a further chance when they rattled the crossbar. Our only real second half chance came when Walsh sent a half cross half shot onto the bar but we were well and truly gubbed today. A lot to think about in the coming weeks.- 55 replies

Some of the folk involved speak with the chairman on a frequent basis so we will make sure the club are aware.
-
We're planning on having a minutes applause in the 44th minute for Simon / Bronson during this game. Something to note for later this month and feel free to make others around you at the game aware. Hopefully get as many people joining in as possible. Cheers.

Morton not able to defend crosses again I see? Pleasing.

Without wanting to say too much in the past I have found Breathing Space a really helpful service and a friend also used them and benefitted from speaking to them. Information can be found at: https://breathingspace.scot/

News like this always hits home harder with our small but tightknit support. You would struggle to find a warmer and friendlier ICT fan than Simon. He was a lovely guy and will be missed terribly by friends and family. Rest In Peace Bronson.

I know life doesn't work this way but if, at the end of the season, we had been pumped by Hibs, lost the Challenge Cup final but somehow got promoted I would take that. Great to see a vocal support at a game again. Wish they were there every week. Maybe the club could try and find out what is stopping these guys from going on a more regular basis. We need all the support we can get especially as our home grounds continue to dwindle.

Seems Raith Rovers fans have been quick off the mark and booked out the Tulloch Institute.

Strange game. I thought we were pretty comfortable despite Dunfermline having many more opportunities than us throughout the 90. Their first couple of efforts showed their complete inability to finish anything of note that came their way so although the stats show a lot of shots for the Pars most were wild swipes and slices that seldom troubled Ridgers and when they were on target he had an easy save to make. There was one effort in the second half that Ridgers did pull off an excellent save when he flung himself to his right to turn away a goal bound shot from Thomas (I think). For most of the first half we seemed content to calmly stroke the ball about before trying to pick out Doran or Storey behind the Dunfermline defence and we didn't create too much of note. Defensively we seemed pretty open and Toshney and Mckay seemed to lose their bearings quite a bit trying to deal with Nisbet and Thomas. No idea if the Doran free kick was over the line or not. The only person who seemed absolutely convinced was the linesman who was tearing it back to the halfway line long before the referee seemed to signal it was given. More than happy to take it obviously. laughable dive in the box by MacGregor. If he had maybe taken a touch he probably had a decent chance to score but for some reason collapsed in a heap for no reason. Smashing equaliser from Thomas. We didn't clear a corner and for some reason Doran tried to dribble the ball away by, *checks notes* , running across the penalty area....He was tackled and the ball broke to Thomas who smashed a bullet of a strike into the top corner with Ridgers well beaten. One of those hits that you knew was in as soon as it left his boot. Danny "Fucking" Devine of all people almost grabbed a second for the Pars when he headed wide at the back post under pressure from two ICT defenders and then Walsh rolled his marker expertly before unleashing a low curling effort that cracked off the base of the post. however he wasn't to be denied and on an ICT break Walsh received the ball after a lovely dummy from Jordan White and, with the aid of a deflection, found the net as Fon Williams went the other way.

Another game that doesn't seem to be on peoples radar for some reason. We travel to the land of beautiful bridies and disastrous defenders this evening to take on Dunfermline. Will Robbo rotate a few players ahead of the Hibs game on Friday? Can we afford to do it and can we even do it if we wanted to?

Thought we were going to get pumped but disappointed we never got a point. White was superb in the first half. Shame he can't out that kind of performance in every week. Didn't think much of United but, as the old cliche goes, the sign of champions is even when they are playing below average they still dig out the win and that's what they did. Disappointed with our defending for both goals but they were good finishes from a United PoV. Good header from White to get us back on level terms and prior to the second United goal we seemed to be knocking the ball around really well despite the conditions and seemed to have reduced the number of long balls we were playing. Thought Tremarco had stolen a point right at the end when he met a cross at the back post but the side netting rippled rather than the back of the net. Despite the loss that's probably one of our better performances in recent weeks.
