  1. I may be wrong but i cannot recall him starting more than 2 cosecutive games.
  2. I would say we will probably never find out. My own reasoning is quite simple. Rory like a lot of other players who have been at our club are never given a run i.e. 5 or 6 games, to show whether they are good enough or not. It is not easy coming on for 15 mins every now and then and having an impact.
  3. yeah i completely agree with you forresjags, brew has been shifting vigurs all over the middle of the park and it's not doing him any favours but he still is showing his class. i really hope brew gives vigurs a good run of games in the middle though because i really think he could be one of our best players given the chance. a lot of people are just happy to stick with our boring pairings(duncan and mcbain) at the moment, im sorry, but people have to wake up and realise its not working...you play your best players and vigurs and black are that. they are the two most talented along with cowie. the first two names i would put down in midfield every game would be black vigurs and then i would base the team around our two best players. I also agree with Black and Vigours but young Vigours has to be played in the middle as his strength is his vision and passing. Having seen him recently he has definately bulked up a fair bit which can only help with the physical side of his game which previously was his only weakness.
  4. What next? I read today in the P and J,Dougie Imrie complaining about lack of atmosphere on saturday. I would suggest him and the players not playing, along with one of the coaching staff take a seat in the main stand and see what we have had to watch for the last 2 years. How any crowd could get excited with the total rubbish we have had to endure would be a miracle. For a start management could tell all the players to acknowlege both stands when they run onto the pitch . At the moment we are lucky if 4 or 5 do it. Away from home nearly every player does. If you look at all the other teams to a man they applaud their support both before and after the games. How many times have you heard our manager praise our fans?Whenever we build up a new crop of young and voiciferous supporters what do we do, threaten them for standing and using so called abusive language whilst regularly ignoring away supporters doing exactly the same.We will never get the large numbers of youngsters required to generate the atmosphere increasing unless the club are prepared to take a more moderate stance and show some common sense. I along with 7 others have beeen a season ticket holders for many years but it is becoming more difficult year after year to justify 340 pounds for the lack of quality football and appreciation for our contribution to our club.
  5. Great post Kencar. I agree with everything you have said and was beginning to think i had been at a different game reading some of the other posts.Quite simply Brewster and his backroom team have not got a clue tactically. For any manager who plays one up front at home then takes him back to defend corners it really does defy belief. Correct me if i am wrong but is that not gifting the other team possesion when the ball is cleared,as well as putting no pressure on their defenders. At throw ins there is a complete lack of movement ,surely that could be worked on in training.Overall i believe at home we play with a total lack of belief which i believe is largely due to as you have said previously, players being played out of position. Finally I had to laugh, before Barry came on he was given his instructions by none other than that master tactician Malky! I ask you is it not a sad day when a natural winger ,20 years in the game is told what he is expected to do when he goes on.
  6. Hey caley p you were spot on with your team for last saturday. Your source is obviously reliable so i have no reason to doubt you for wed night. Totally agree with you regarding Vigours . All our best football this season bar the Aberdeen game has been when he is playing. Quite simply he offers us a level of vision and class which we lack when he is out of the team.
  7. Will be interesting to see how reliable your source is come 3 oclock tom. It would be remarkable if the back four remained intact after the disastrous first half last week.
  8. How many times have you actually watched fraser play this season? I have watched him plenty and to suggest last saturday was a one off is nonsense. There have been plenty of other games he has cost us this season . What is the point in having competition for places if you are not punished for poor performances. Regarding what i have read in an earlier post about Michael being a great athlete, what great athlete would be out in the city centre on tuesday night drinking along with several of his teamates. That sums up how much last saturdays defeat hurt them and the lack of disciplne being imposed by our management team.
  9. Correct me if i am wrong but are these not the same eleven players who started at Ibrox? Only a madman would start that lot again regardless of how you have shuffled them around. How many more goals do you want Fraser to cost us before you would give Esson a chance.
  10. Well said Jay 7. Any manager who selects a guy to play at Ibrox when he has not played first team football for about 6 weeks is incompetent. It was not that he did not have a choice. Jamie Duff was our best defender midweek against Falkirk yet he was dropped. Rooney and Wood have beeen playing regularly so you would think should be totally match fit. Who does our manager choose to play as our lone striker, Barrowman who has played 20 odd mins in the last month. Add to this his total reluctance to drop Michael Fraser despite numerous **** ups this season and there is only one conclusion SACK HIM AND HIS BACKROOM TEAM.

    esson

I know what i would be saying to Fraser. That is the contract take it or leave it. The problem with him is he believes he is better than he is. I would have thought with the mistakes he has made this season he would be more humble.I would be surprised if any other s.p.l. club came in for him. Esson is a far more experienced and better all round keeper and deserves a run in the team.
  12. I agree . He is the only natural finisher at the club. Makes you wonder why Brewster chased him for 6 months .
  13. I cannot believe what i have just read .Considering the standard of football we have had to watch over the last 2 seasons at home we must have the most loyal and tolerant supporters in the s p l . 5 wins at home in the last 10 months, 2 of them against Gretna is enough to push even the most moderate of fans to call for change. I would suggest the management team take a seat in the stand for a game and maybe then will they reallise their failings. Quite simply they are tacticlly naive. While we see other managers regularly making substitutions which have a major influence on games ours are seen dithering and when they eventually do we are left scratching our heads in disbelief at their decisions. For example yesterday when we are 2 1 down and chasing the game he takes of our goalscorer rooney and left on young wood who was having a poor game . Even worse he takes on 2 midfielders at the expense of the striker.F inally i do not think the fans were booing the team off it was directed at the management team who show total contempt for anyone who dares to express an opinion.

    McBain

I agree with what you are saying but at home especially if we are playing 1 up front we need someone who can give us more options in an attacking sense . Once again i will say it Vigours has to start. Whenever he has started this season we have looked a far more potent team going forward.
  15. Thank you Kencar, someone who knows what he is talking about. McBain is by far the weak link of our starting line-up regardless of what position he plays. He is simply past it. I think he would benefit from dropping down a league at the end of the season. Oh aye.. someone actually agrees with you so they know what they are talking about! Roy still has a lot to offer the team, he is not the most talented player we have, but will give not stop effort and get the occasional goal. Teams need workers as well as flair players. It so happens i also agree with the Kencar and ajsict92. I would say the team has more than enough so called workers and a lack of skillful creative players . In his short first team career so far Vigours gives us something lacking in our team ,the ability to play a killer pass. Add to that his eye for a goal i think he would offer the team exactly what we are lacking given an extended run in the team.
  16. Was at the game today. We were beaten 1 nil by a very good killie side . I.C.T. had a very young side out . There were good performances from Esson,Gillespie,Zander and a very youthful back 4 [ exc. lionel] . No one on show put themselves in the frame for Saturday.
  17. The 3 most gifted players at our club are Black , Cowie and Vigours. Potentially they are the most valuable both on and of the park. What does our club do? Get themselves in a position where come January we could lose all 3 on pre contracts. Bennett should get a grip and tie up all 3 with decent contracts giving each of them the assurance should a bigger club come along with a decent offer they would be allowed to leave. At least this way the club would get reimbersed for their loss.
  18. 2 changes from last week . Fraser has made mistakes in the last 3 games and has to be dropped. Cowie in for Macbain, quite simply he offers the team far more in an attacking sense .
  19. Esson has to start in place of Fraser who is becoming a liability. If he was an outfield player he would have been dropped long ago .That apart i would go with the same team that beat Killie .
  20. No one said you were a Celtic fan He's a Celtic fan :thumb04: Re the tax. Now that the precedent has been established the door has been opened for them to reframe it and boost it to 10% for next season. The hard sell has been done. Weak kneed losers. Hey smart ass . If the truth be known i was a Rangers fan until I.C.T. got into the Scottish league after which i changed and have been a season ticket holder since then .The point i have been making that you and some others do not seem able to grasp is that it is us the loyal supporters who are being shafted by our own club , not for the first time i might add.
  21. And for a restricted view as well. Lets get one thing straight i am an i.c.t. fan not celtic. Unless you guys have not noticed we are playing in a half empty stadium practically every other home game. Unless we get our pricing right it will only get worse.
  22. Brewster and his coaching team must take the blame . Anyone at the game on Saturday could see Black was by far our best player . Brewster could easily have taken his pick from the other 3 in midfield especially Imrie who again dissapointing . Surely Ross has to be rested . How many more goals are we going to concede due to Michaels lack of judgement. Where i do agree with you is the lack of camaraderie ,and we totally lack aleader on the park.
  23. Did anyone see the photo in the Daily Record today at the Killie game . Celtic fans with banners showing their displeasure at the price charged . (25pounds). With the 2 stands which are normally full half empty , it is obvious fans have had enough. I wonder how the hell they would react to having to pay 29 to sit in our state of the art main stand. Our board should take notice of the empty seats at rugby park before deciding their prices in the future .
  24. What a heap of rubbish . Killie are in the same position as us . They are playing Celtic this sunday and their prices are 25 pounds and 15 pounds for concessions. No matter which way you look at it they are ripping of our loyal and possible future fans . By the way in the champions league match between Chelsea and Bordeaux the prices were 25 for adults and 12 for concessions. Of course our facilities are streets ahead of stamford bridge !
