    Train to Hearts

Do many travel by train? Or is it mainly supporters busses? Caley do seem to take a large following to Tynie compared to the likes of St Midden, Killie and Murderwell who have alot less to travel! I will be coming down on the 10.50 train with 4 mates . Staying overnight. I also know of a few others who are going on the same train as you. Usually only a couple of busses.
  2. What a rediculous reply Alex . The so called 3000 home fans have had to endure some awful football the last 18 months. I for one have one have been to every game and can count on one hand the decent performances. So to blame us is not on . If nothing else the players should have their pride and a small matter of a win bonus to play for.
  3. All this crap about shouting abuse at players. We all pay our money and are entitled to our opinion . I sat there yesterday and watched our so called goalkeeping coach shouting instructions to Rooney, while one of the players he is supposed to be coaching was yet again costing us the points .Players are quick to accept the praise when its going so also have to accept the critisism.By the way i am one of the main standers who does raise their voice and i can assure you our opinion is very seldom welcomed from our coaching staff or players families and friends.
  4. both have just come back to training this week so i dont think that they have fully recovered yet. but once they have i would definitely get the two back in there. proc right back and duncan usual position. i think tokely needs competition to perform to his best. Anyone at the game yesterday could see it was not the young players who were the problem.Where we were let down was with some of our more experienced players. Ross could not possibly have played a worse game for the club , If Procter is fit he must start next saturday. Roy was totally ineffective in the middle and how many more times is Michael going to get caught in no mans land .
  5. No true i.c.t. fan would even consider booing Dennis. A legend and a real gentleman.
  6. I would stick with Duff and Maguire . In the 3 league games they have played together we have only conceded 3 goals in total .Neither deserves to be dropped, furthermore there is no way Grant can be match fit,i dont think he has even played a reserve game.
  7. I as we all are am fully aware the club has to live within its means, surely though if we are ever to move on to the next level i.e. top 6,we have to build our team around the likes of Don.If this means paying him more than our current wage structure then so be it. If we lose Don and Ian Black who is also out of contract next summer it will be a dissaster for our club .I seem to recall Russel was given a 3 year deal last season so it can be done .
  8. Who the bloody hell cares about baldy. I thought the forum was about i. c. t.
  9. No way should Duff make way for anyone. He has shown with his consistent performances he is in the team on merit. He will get even stronger the more games he plays .Regarding Vigours he is long overdue a run in the team . He gives us composure in midfield and has a great range of passing . I think he could prove to be the most talented youngster to come through our youth system.
  10. When i came home after the game against Hibs my son asked if i had enjoyed the game . I said yet again especially 2nd half we were awful . His reply summed up why we are losing supporters every season. I Dont know why you bother going he said because apart from a couple of games last season you tell me the same thing .I along with other loyal season ticket holders and others continue because of our love for the club. Quite simply as others have said the cost 25 pounds for the main stand is rediculous in this current financial climate. Other than big games against the old firm the players barely acknowledge the fans 2 or 3 excluded. When you are at away games every one of the home team applaud theirs. Every time we build up a group of young supporters in the north stand the stewards go out of their way confront them whilst ignoring away fans in similar situations. Add these things to the very poor standard of football we have to watch regularly is it any surprise we cant hang onto the fans we have never mind increase them. As our manager likes to keep telling us to take a reality check likewise it is time for the club to do so. Give people football worth watching at an affordable price and things might improve.
  11. It amazes me reading how poor Dennis has been this season . In his one extended run this season before injury he was excellent as were the whole team. Since then he is lucky if he has started 2 consecutive games . Anyone who has watched him over the years knows he needs to be playing regularly to get his full confidence. You would actually think we were blessed with an abundance off skillful strikers. It is the same old story unless you are a workhorse who can run and chase for 90 mins you are no use . Dennis will be better of at another club where he will be given a better chance to show his undoubted ability .
  12. Typical I.C.T. Myself and 9 other season ticket holders requested a reduced package pre split. We felt as we already paid for our seats we would be entitled to a reduction. We were told it would not be possible as the club would not even meet their costs. Strange that now we are bottom 6 and faced with fixtures against the likes of gretna the club want to reward their loyal supporters. I tell you what it stinks they must think we are all stupid, OUR group have arranged a night out in town where there will be more than enough bars and restaurants happy to have our cash.
  13. Where i agree it was a much improved performance in terms of effort and all round play , there can be no doubting we have serious problems in defence. To lose 4 goals 2 games running is not good enough . The back 4 and Mike have been together most of the season but when you watch them at times you could be forgiven for thinking they were strangers . Not sure of exact figures but i think we have conceded 9 goals more already than in any of our 4 previous seasons in the S P L .With 6 games still to play Brewster has to try out other combinations before the season ends. Finally i think it defies logic to bring on Hart as sub when he is commited to another club whilst he had plenty other options on the bench.Brewster these days talks about getting a reaction from players how can they give this when he wont even give them 10 mins. i. e. Wyness and Macallister.
  14. It is quite obvious what is going on . The club are trying to shift the blame elsewhere as a result off the negative publicity they are getting . Could it have anything to do with slow ticket sales for this saturday? If the agent was to blame why did Brewster not say this at the time.Only one man has suffered and that is Dennis, and even Grasser has said he knew nothing off his agents demands. Not for the first time a complete lack of proffesionalism shown by our club.
  15. Good on you action man. I am with you on this one . Far to many of our supporters are like robots . They seem affraid to offer either praise or critisism. We as season ticket holders and fans are totally taken for granted and it is about time our united voices were heard.Lets hope our performance against the Dons is an improvement and we get our first win against them, if not we should stand as one and tell the management and board our true feelings .
  16. anyone who was at the game on saturday knows who is responsible for withdrawing the contract. brewster completely ignored dennis as he came off. quite simply dennis is being made a scapegoat for our managers poor team selection and tactical naivety. barry wilson has been treated the same way recently so it is no surprise . brewster wants to remember what these guys have given to our club and treat them with the dignity they deserve.
  17. spot on jay . i agree with every word . the minimum goals your two front men should be scoring is 12 each . when wyness and dargo were together that was no problem .if brewster would stop messing around with the front pairing dennis and marius would form a good partnership. they proved that earlier in the season when dennis scored 7 or 8 before getting injured . unfortunately i do not think they will get a chance. from a rumour i heard today i believe dennis has had his contract offer withdrawn by brewster , easy to see who has been made a scapegoat after our latest shambles on saturday. russel on the other hand after what can only be described as moderate performances recently stil has his offer on the table . worrying times m8 .

    concerns

Good post tug and i agree with most of what you have said .What you say about our fans is true and i along with many others feel the hard core , by that i mean mainly season ticket holders are treated with contempt at times.A recent example of this happened last saturday night in the Heathmount hotel. One of our fans bumped into our chairman Mr Savage. In conversation he expressed his dissappointment at the teams performance to be told politely to take a reality check,to quote WE ARE IN THE S.P.L after all. This is the kind of patronising talk we get through all levels at the club. The reality is we are in our 4th season in the top flight and if we are to progress we will have to be more positive in our aims .This is vital if the club is to maintain the current level off season ticket holders never mind increase them.Instead of our manager saying in the press how the fans got on the players backs ,would it not have been nice for once to hear him say he got his team selection and tactics wrong. Not for the first time this season i might add .I like you am a genuinely concerned fan and worry what next season might hold if we continue along the same path. Above all on the pitch we need to rediscover the team spirit for which we have been reknowned. If we manage that we should be ok.
  19. can anyone tell me what dennis has done to be ignored recently . before his injury he was our best striker this season scoring 8 goals. he has been fit now for a few weeks but the motherwell game apart he has not started a game. i was at easter road yesterday and we were crying out for someone with his skill to unlock the hibs defence . craig in his wisdom stuck with bayne who work rate apart is not good enough at this level .it can do nothing for dennises confidence when his manager with the team trailing 2 nil is not prepared to take him on. we do not have enough creative players at our club to ignore his qualities .

    Who's happy?

i am not happy . i am fed up of hearing people say we are punching above our weight . we are in our fourth season in the s. p. l. we are as good as all other teams bar the old firm on our day and even them sometimes . we have to start believing we can move onto the next level . i . e . a cup final or a top six finish. deep down i think the players lack that self belief.

  22. why do managers constantly complicate football. surely when the away team arrive here and see us playing one striker they are delighted . no one will tell me centre backs do not have a far easier job facing this system. in the press the day before the game craig was emphasising how important it was for us as the home team to take the game to united . well apart from after they scored we did not play with anywhere near the urgency required . i do not think it is asking to much at home to play two up front and have two natural wide players in midfield . i do not know is it just me but the majority of our substitutions are a reaction when we lose a goal. it would be great to see a more possitive approach before this happens . craig is doing a fine job but at times i feel he is a bit stubborn when he hears the fans calling for a change.
  23. russel is and has been a very important player for us . to lose him would be a blow but the club cannot go down the road of paying wages they cannot afford . we need look no further than livi, dundee, dunfermline, partick and others who refused to live within their means . marius is a one of and to attract a player of his quality a special deal had to be struck. no way this could be repeated across the board.
