  1. So because I don't want Brewster in charge, I am therefore less of a fan that you are? What worries me is you might actually believe half the pish you post... :thumb04:
  2. Because Hastings is guff, Zadi is even worse and McBain is the only reasonable footballer we have capable of playing in that role. Why not give Djebi-Zadi a chance I hear you ask? Because the only ability he posesses is he can run fast. He can't kick a ball, he can't tackle and he closes his eyes when he jumps for a header. County released him, that should tell you everything you need to know FFS! The German team he was playing for were an amateur team! We should never have signed him in the first place.
  3. completely agree with you with you about barrowman. can't believe we chased this guy. the problem is though we cant play wood and rooney together as they are too similar so i feel we're forced into playing barrowman if we want to play two up front. I wouldn't mind as much if he scored goals - a bit like a poor mans Kris Boyd, but he simply isn't doing anything!
  4. --------------Esson---------------- Proctor---Duff---Munro---McBain Cowie---Black---Vigurs----Imrie --------Rooney--Barrowman----- I'd watch Barrowman very closely if he starts as I have a funny feeling he's fast becoming a passenger in our team. The fact that we chased this useless waste of space for the whole summer makes a mockery of our team. Get Duff back in the team and drop Tokely. Drop Hastings, and drop Duncan.

I thought his contract runs out at Xmas though...
  6. Ah yes, my apologies. Add Rory to the list.
  7. Its the old boy network If thats the reason then it is very worrying, but I find it hard to believe that brew would put himself under more pressure by taking in a player he didnt feel he was good enough just because he is a mate It's a blatant example of "jobs for the boys". Because Brewster knows he's chums with those above him, he'll probably get away with it as well! I see plenty of harm in taking a look at him. Hastings and Tokely are world beaters compared to him. If we sign him, we will have two useless examples of footballers at our club, Djebi-Zadi being the other.
  8. We have demonstrated on numerous occasions that we are capable of producing top class displays. Easter Road on Saturday being a fine example of this - The only thing (IMO) that Brewster did wrong was playing Imrie and Cowie on the wrong wings. At the moment ICT are not doing as well as I know they can do. Folk like yourself and "mainstander" coming on here and telling us that we should sit down, shut up and just be happy to be in the SPL don't make the situation any better.
  9. Please accept my humble apologies for wanting the club to do better...
  10. I thought we could sign him now but the offical site says we cant sign him as he has played for Oldham this season so he cant sign to January I could be wrong but as far as I was aware, free-agents can be signed up at any time. I can only guess that he has not been released by Oldham then. The point is, we shouldn't even be looking at him to discuss whether we could sign him or not!
  11. If his contract has expired and he has been released then he is a free agent and we could sign him before January. I am frankly disgusted we even have him on trial and can only pray that we don't sign him.
  12. I have taken the stats of the following teams: ICT, St Mirren, Falkirk and Kilmarnock from the beginning of 2008. Not the beginning of the season as I may as well post the current SPL table. In the intrests of fairness I did not include Hamilton as they were in a different league at the start of 2008. Link I have not yet updated the table to show last weeks results.
  13. A view many do not share on here, myself included. It is exactly that kind of attitude that saw Brewster get reappointed.
  14. Watching Scotland/other national team is a given but as far as club level goes I wouldn't "follow" anyone. I'd watch the games that have the potential to be a real spectacle but other than that I wouldn't go out of my way to see any particular teams games.
  15. Reason 1. We have often under-performed post-safety Reason 2. Squad changes That's a ridiculous statement to make. So because poor performance is the "norm" once we are mathematically safe, we should just accept it?! Should we all just be happy that we are in the SPL at all?... Clearly us fans have no reason to feel unhappy. Brewster for Prime Minister...
  16. ------------Esson------------ Proctor Duff Munro McBain Cowie Black Vigurs Imrie -------Rooney Wood-------- Playing 4-5-1 at home is suicide.
  17. The only reason (note singular) you've stated are changes in personnel. We've lost 3 strikers. We've signed 1 striker with potential, 1 work-shy striker (from what I'm told), an excellent goalkeeper and a poor excuse for a footballer. As I interpret that, we should arguably be doing worse than last season. If I take 2008's stats and compare them to every other teams 2008 stats, I fail to see how the comparison is unfair.
  18. The blow torch to eyeball scene in Hostel is pretty disgusting.
  19. and why not?...
  20. So let me see - that means that the teams round about us have been doing a lot better than we have does it? In a word - Yes. We have taken 0 points from 18 games this year so far. St Mirren and Falkirk have both only lost 13 times in that same length of time. If you can't understand why that consitutes those teams doing a lot better than us in the same period of time then that's frankly, not my problem. You think it'd be acceptable to field exactly the same team and use the same tactics at home against Falkirk do you?...
  21. Reality check: - In the last 10 months we have lost 18 times. An abysmal record compared to the teams immediately around us. - Brewster is directly responsible for the team he picks to play on matchday and the tactics he chooses to employ. Too many times I have seen the long ball being used, if that's not in the tactics, it's about time he dropped those who use it. - Before Park left, we were a respectable team and other teams did not look forward to playing us. Fast forward 10 months and we have Malky in place most teams relish the thought of picking up points at our expense. It's clearly going to be a tight season and I don't particularly want to rely on flukey wins to see us clear of relegation.
  22. Credit where it's due, the players did well. A fantastic and unexpected win - special mentions to Esson and Vigurs from all accounts. As a side note, when was the last time a goalkeeper in our colours saved a penalty?... As for the real issue at hand here: Brewster must go. What odds on him fielding exactly the same team as Saturday against Falkirk at home?... I rest my case...
  23. I take it from these remarks that you would have made no changes to the side which got thrashed last week. I've never been pro Brewster, but in your eyes (and many others to be fair) he can do no right at all. He would have been pilloried by many on here if he had not changed last week's team. So what is he to do? Shades of Catch 22! The only right thing Brewster can do is hand in his resignation.
  24. Call me cynical, but I know what I'd put my money on...
  25. Brewster blaming everyone but himself, who'd have thunk it?... Here's Munros thoughts: Link IMO this is more pish to the tune of: "We should just be thankful we're in the SPL and that's that." A statement that includes that, suggests that folk expected something from Ibrox be it 1 point or 3. I can honestly say that I know of not one person who expected anything other than a decent effort and in the end, we didn't even get that. I have never criticised Munro as I believed him to be the right choice for the captaincy but that statement has earnt a black mark against his name from me. I'm not angry he decided to say it, just plain disappointed.
