  1. No idea why Robbo is mentioned, was it the journalist doing some self-protection by picking a name so it could not be said the focus was on defaming the former CEO? or was it the club dropping a name? If the journalist, then perhaps Robbo was chosen as it is known there is some animosity towards him for frequently working for the BBC in Dingwall when his club were playing a game that he perhaps should have been at attendance at instead, and there would also be disappointment as we appear to have (rightly) bent over backwards to accommodate him when he was going through a tough time. If he is owed a legitimate payment, then so be it. Same with anyone else. The likes of Dodds and Barry (and Robbo) are not likely to be made of money so should be paid what they are due. I think AS has the finger pointed at one individual in all of this and inevitably others may get mentioned in dispatches during this battle.
  2. I think that our former CEO may well have indeed opened a pandora's box that will be an even greater downfall for him. AS is doing everything at his own cost, not the club's and seems motivated to find any and all wrongdoing. I have to believe that this is what he wanted in the first place so he could - in his own words - 'deal with it' As for Robbo - disappointed on that front.
  3. Saw this in my email from the club and then the Supporters Trust followed up with the email quoted below: You have been asking for this and now it’s here! Supporters hospitality returns for the home game against Cove on Saturday 21st of September. Priced at only £50 (inc VAT) for season ticket holders or £70 (inc VAT) if you don’t have a season ticket, you can enjoy full pre match hospitality in the Highlander Lounge that includes a free drink on arrival & after the game (pay bar for rest of the day), 1 course curry lunch, halftime pies and, various player/former player interviews plus much more. Come along and enjoy a great day out and watch ICT in the best way possible. The Supporters Trust would like to thank Scott Young for all his hard work to make this happen and hopefully we can sell the room out for the game. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/pM47kpQMYmdYEKF6/
  4. Great topic!!! Year 1 = Survival In the first 12 months, on and off the pitch, get a grip on the outstanding issues, plug the holes AS has found, stop the hemorrhaging of money. Look to reverse the negative trends of the past 5 years by being open and honest with the players, the staff, and the fans and try to maintain a steady position in the league. Playoffs or promotion would be a bonus, as would any windfalls from previous ventures (eg battery farm). Complete the forensic audit and take appropriate actions based on the result. (By) Year 3 = Consolidation By year 3 we should be back in the Championship (or pushing for it) as that will bring a little more revenue by itself and should be the lowest base level that we are willing to accept. That may sound arrogant, but as one of the few full-time teams in League One, we should at the very least be challenging. Off the field we should hopefully now be generating more business and cashflow by having won back previous business and personal stakeholders/sponsors and working to maintain those relationships rather than just have unfounded expectations or a sense of entitlement. An increase in sponsorship, higher season ticket and merchandise sales and a willingness to be out in the community fostering good relations should also help us consolidate and get back to where we were prior to 2019. Whatever we do, we have to try and get as close to balancing the books as possible. Fiscal responsibility should be the core principle. As a side project we should also be looking at realistic non-football ways to generate revenue. I do not know what these are, but the stadium location next to a freeport and main transit routes both land and sea should have some merits worth exploring. Some of the ideas could be pie-in-the-sky plans like those of our former CEO, or less likely to succeed, but provided we do not step over others to get there, nor base our operating accounts on getting any such high-risk high-reward ventures over the line then there is no harm in dreaming, provided we are getting the basics right. (By) Year 5 = (Re)Growth By year 5 we should be back in the top half of the Championship, with the odd cup run to help keep the books looking healthier and pushing for at least a playoff, if not a championship winning run. This is where we should have been in 2017 but we went in the opposite direction gathering pace until almost crashing off the rails this year as we all know. The aim at the end of 5 years should be promotion back to the premiership. By now our youth system should hopefully have recovered and we may have uncovered a couple of gems who we can get behind or even sell-on to generate a little more revenue. Perhaps we have also now established links with other clubs, either through an investor who owns multiple clubs (as AS noted a few weeks ago) or because we are once again an attractive destination to farm out loan players to get them developed (but not at the cost of any highly rated local talent). Then we continue to consolidate and grow as we did between 2004 and 2017. No matter how tempting it is, we must also keep our core principles of fiscal responsibility and community responsibility firmly in sight. I have purposely not gone into the level of detail as Big Cherly but can't really argue any of the points raised. All good things to bring up and all good things that may warrant further inspection. Some of the 'little things' like repairs, de-weeding, painting are all things people have volunteered for before and perhaps this new era can see the club once again appreciate volunteers and those who seek to help primarily because they are simply fans of the club and not because they are looking for favours or financial gain ... a cynical viewpoint those running the club have taken at certain times over the years. Provided we move forward then the timeline can be adjusted. it took 10 years to get to the SPL based on the "Road to Premier League" document Dougie McGilvray and the board at the time produced in 1994 and there were a lot of twists and turns along the way. However, we did it within the 10-year plan, and if we make a realistic plan now, we can do it again.
  5. It's a Ticketmaster thing. I also get the same thing when I try to manage my Toronto FC tickets using my work laptop connected to VPN. If I disconnect VPN or use my personal machine that is not on VPN then no problem.
  6. There are very few times I use the word 'hate' as I find it too extreme an emotion in most cases. I would rather dislike, distrust, or have other negative feelings towards a person, place or entity. However, this person falls into the category of people I absolutely hate without reservation or chance of redemption. And all of this despite never actually meeting the person. I cannot even put into words what I think as it would surely put me into danger of being sued for defamation or libel. Suffice to say I have heard most of the stories out of the stadium or out in public that reference his style, or how he dealt with situations, or people. Some of these things sounded pretty shady and I really hope that AS has had the opportunity to discover them and see if any of these can be used to "deal with it" as he noted in the article.

  8. Hope they restock! Showing out of stock for most of the sizes now.
  9. Well Stuart Armstrong just signed for Vancouver Whitecaps last night so not him
  10. Personally I like it. The colour scheme works (not too far away from my son’s away kit for his team as posted earlier) and the badge is something different to mark the 30 years. Designed by a fan and looks good imho. Think I may be tempted to order this one. Toronto FC did similar for their kit and badge in recent seasons. A new badge (simplified) but not the official one and they usually stick it on what they call a community kit (3rd kit). The first team strip is actually fan designed for the last couple of seasons although this year that one is bogging! if this design was approved by our former CEO then I will say that’s one decision he may have got right, even if the strips weren’t ordered or perhaps paid for before the season started.
  11. Thanks for recent additions over this week. Looking for 18 more contributions to reach 2 player home shirts ....
  12. He would probably wonder aloud if he had any sisters, then record a Tik-Tok singing "I'm in the mood for dancing" before starting a conga at the next game!

  14. and the buck stops with you Mr Ferguson. YOU are the manager whether we like it or not and the players got treated like sh1t on YOUR watch. Now just F*** Off with the self-pity.
  15. ... and that's likely one of the reasons why we are in £1.7m debt instead of a few hundred £K.
  16. I am sure the Boston Red Sox fans will be happy to know they are now an American Football team according to this article!
  17. I can't - arrived overnight from Canada, met at the airport by IntertheNet, driven to the game, a zombie through most of it (thankfully) then up the road on the supporter's bus!
  18. 0-3 down against Ayr at half-time, coming back to win it 4-3 with 4 goals in 18 second half minutes from 4 different scorers (2000-01 season). Or that 7-3 game against them (same season) with the score going 1-0, 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 3-2, (HT), 3-3, 4-3, 5-3, 6-3, 7-3
  19. I prefer the Pele Patterson mantra of scoring more goals than the opposition than worrying about conceding. It made for far more entertaining viewing.
  20. I think that has more to do with power struggle frustrations during his stint as chairman as opposed to anything nefarious. He pretty much said that in one of the articles recently. Given what he has done in a couple of weeks in ridding us of Makwana & Gardiner and bringing both visibility and scrutiny to the eyepopping higher debt than our former CEO or board have previously announced, then I can totally understand his request for a mandate. Provided that mandate is reviewable, he continues to be open with us, and as noted, keeps the light on as he has said he will do, then I am ok with it. Bottom line personally is that I would rather give him the keys for 3 years than to some random wannabee internet influencer, and giving him full power for three years is two less than we gave it to our former CEO for, with, I suspect, far more governance in place and hopefully less unread emails. If I were to add a caveat, then perhaps it would be to say that any sale of the club to a third party has to go to an AGM/EGM for ratification. I don't think that is unreasonable as we don't want another 'fait accompli' with another Makwana but I also don't think that would happen given AS's ties to the local community, to local football, to youth development and to Caley Thistle.
  21. As mentioned above ... resurrecting this thread. I am always on the lookout for good deals to/from Inverness and this one came into my inbox today ... Inverness to Delhi for £320 in September or October. Connections don't look too bad overall and the airline website is apparently only £30 more than some random booking sites. https://www.secretflying.com/posts/inverness-scotland-to-delhi-india-for-only-333-roundtrip/ Only downside seems to be its a long way to go for a short trip duration but if you play around with dates on Skyscanner or Kayak you may find better
  22. Sounds like his £70K will not push us over the edge. AS has already asked for £150K to cover the other loanees asking for repayment and stated he would deal with this £70K personally ... then by the end of the day yesterday he indicated everything was in place. That would suggest he has either paid it already or most likely will now negotiate (through lawyers no doubt) an acceptable walk-away fee. Hopefully he has a few things he can highlight from his forensic audit to make walking away with a lower figure attractive. On a more positive note - we just got a loan player from Ross County so I assume this means we did pay our debts to them and any other club we owed money to for players.

  24. As i said yesterday, I think he would relish butting heads with our former CEO. The quote that he would "deal with the £70K that he thinks he is due" is almost like drawing battle lines. I would however suggest that AS likely has a few rabbits that he can pull out of the forensic audit hat, so to speak. Oh, I don't know... You would think so wouldn't you. 7000 unread emails, existing technology that is working well replaced with something that doesn't (pixellot), strips ordered in an exponentially higher quantity than needed from Puma. Reported losses exponentially higher than stated, submission of accounts delayed, delayed AGMs etc. Does all of this (and more) pass the sniff test? Does anyone (else) benefit from any of the outwardly strange looking deals? I am sure AS has and will continue to look into these kinds of anomalies that go back to 2019. If I were our former CEO, I would be more worried about AS/ICT suing him than the other way around. However, I am with Big Cherly on this one. Get some agreement, close this sorry 5-year chapter quickly, and move on. We can move upwards, and our former CEO can look for employment with 78 Ventures or another club that is looking for his particular skillset.
  25. Maybe he can pay him with a couple of thousand over-ordered shirts
