Was it not already in place before the North Stand was built? I agree with you that it is unsightly, but it's there and anything we might want to do to it to improve its look or relocate it costs money we dont have so we just have to live with it. We may not have a bank debt, but over the last couple of years we have been operating at a loss so every penny counts and I dont see where pumping money into moving it or tarting it up would actually give us any benefit other than the "look". If we get to the stage where we can (or need to) spend some money on infrastructure, then this should be high up on the list IMHO.

I agree with the original poster .... Its ugly and unsightly and it would be great if it could be moved or removed HOWEVER We do not have the office space within the stadium to locate it inside the building and make it accessible outside of matchdays. We do not have the money to build a "proper" club shop / ticket office attached to the stadium building itself the idea of a city centre shop has been touted many times but even though it might catch passing or tourist trade its not really an option as it is too far removed from the stadium for sales of merchandise and for ticketing functions on or before a matchday where the ticket staff may need to access resources inside the stadium. The only other option might be to move it somewhere else in the stadium environs, such as the outer side of the north stand ... still unsightly, but at least not on the front of the stadium. But that too has its issues and cost ... there's power, light, and equipment infrastructure to consider, none of which can be moved with no cost. Think we are stuck with it where it is for the forseeable future and we just have to live with it ! If we ever do get to the stage where we can afford to upgrade the north/south stands or do something on the west side then perhaps integrating a club shop and ticket office into the blueprints should be a higher priority than something like a bar or more generic offices .....

I agree, he had a decent squad at one point with the revolution. Twellman, Dempsey, noonan, ralston, Joseph and dorman in midfield to attack was quite a team. Always fancied those players for ict. When TFC sacked the management team of Mo Johnston and Preki last year, many TFC fans were hoping that TFC's owners would look at Nicol for the top job. Instead they got Jurgen Klinsmann in as a consultant and eventually, his recommendation was to appoint Aron Winter as manager. I guess they didnt want to appoint another Scottish ginger They did however manage to pry Paul Mariner away from New England to act as one of Winter's assistants, and to advise him and Bob De Klerk on the inner workings of MLS - Salary Cap, Roster limitations, the various drafts etc. Mariner was Nicol's right hand man and between them they built a solid team that competed for quite a number of years in MLS .... If you can handle all the player, salary and other (spending) rules that MLS throws at you, then you would easily be able to handle an SPL team with limited finances ! I would have like to see Nicol at TFC, but if someone in Scotland were preapred to give him a chance (and he were prepared to take it) then I think he would do pretty well.

BBC are not allowed to show highlights outside the UK, they do not have the rights .... if you want to blame anyone, blame the SPL who issue/manage the rights .... The official site does have highlights of every game, available worldwide, and CTO works with the club and its media team to compile and publish those highlights. They are normally available on a Monday afternoon (UK time) once I have been able to grab the footage, process it and upload the final files. Yup. that's my view too.

Dundee got 25 point penalty (and an embargo on signing players) instead of 10pts because it was the second time in 7 years they had gone into administration. The statement at the time said "We are of the opinion that lessons are not being learned ... Clubs have to realise that they can't treat their Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs tax obligations as something akin to a credit card." If Rangers and/or Hearts go into administration, I would imagine it would be the standard 10 point penalty and nothing as swingeing as Dundee. Funnily enough, looking up Administration brought up an interesting wiki page showing dates, penalties applied (or not) and what seems to be a discrepancy between Scotland and England ... Sorry. cannot share your views here. Whilst the owner may have displayed 'comic book villain' types of behaviour at times over the last few years, and seemed to shake up the management team anytime anything looked like going right, and while they may have an element of undesirables within their support ... just like ANY other club (including ICT), I cannot subscribe to the notion that seeing ANY club potentially go to the wall is to be viewed in any way as a positive thing. I would not wish it on County or Elgin, I wouldnt even wish it on the OF, and I certainly dont wish it on Hearts. In this situation, it is the vast majority of "normal" supporters who suffer, the guys who week in and week out, year in and year out have supported Hearts through the good times, and the bad ..... I know several Hearts supporters on this side of the pond that also go to Toronto FC matches and they are all thoroughly decent. Wishing ill on their club is like stabbing those friends in the back IMHO.

not confident ....... it will very much depend on how the referee's report is worded. If the review panel view it as a "last man" challenge then we have a good shout as Tokely is clearly closer to the goal than Hogg even though he is further wide. However, if it was "denying a clear goalscoring opportunity" then as far as I understand it he doesnt have to be the last man if the ref thought Tokely would not have made up the ground in time ... Tokely did make up the ground, but would he have done so if the player hadnt been held back/fouled?

I think thats a bit of a leap IHE. As much as I would love to think that CTO, and its posters, have some degree of power and influence, (and I know of at least one former club official who would agree with you) in my own opinion, I think this comment far exaggerates any that we do have .... I know the site is read and talked about by those at the club, and it may even spark the odd internal discussion, because we are, as you pointed out, a small club and this is indeed a focal point. However it is not the only focal point of the club. Is it not more likely, that a manager and backroom team with far more experience and playing ability (in their time) than most of us armchair or 'computer based game' managers simply came to the same conclusion that many posters did ... and changed things around. A happy coincidence yes, but a coincidence nonetheless ......

according to radio commentators, Jonny Hayes was booked (presumably for dissent) during the Chris Hogg sending off ... can someone confirm ? need it for the official stats and Sky/BBC Online/ESPN all seem to have missed it ... only got Brian Irvine's comments to go on at the moment.

start of this season i believe. There is no barrier in terms of the agreement between BBC and SPL that prevents worldwide broadcast unless the team(s) involved in a game request it by exercising their own broadcast rights. However, as virtually all clubs (ICT excepted) do actually exercise those rights then the BBC is forced to limit broadcasting to UK only for most games ... probably easier to just say UK only for all !!! three great letters ....... V P N !!!!!
