  1. not sure why 3 mins is the maximum, but I know the SPL have something similar in their media agreement too. I am guessing that the SFL just worked on the same framework as the SPL and you find that both are restricted in terms of total footage allowed because at the time these agreements were originally written both had TV sponsorship in place. The SPL with Setanta and the SFL with terrestrial TV (Football First etc). But .... look on the bright side ... 3 minutes and ICT working with fans to get that 3 minutes online on the official site is 3 minutes more than we used to get even on TV !!!
  2. noted. thanks No problem. I just thought it would be a good way to stop people trying to pass it off as their own. It is. To be honest, I didnt feel the need for any crest or copyright message going across the entire duration of the video (other than the copyright messages we are obliged to add for the SFL which we have placed at start and finish), but if I can create a small discreet graphic that does not detract from the overall video, it will not be a problem to add it over the footage. Now that there are a number of videos up, I would also be interested to get some feedback in other areas regarding quality, format, graphics or anything else about them ...... I know some would like longer videos, but that is governed by the media agreement that states 3 minutes only. We cant really do anything about that. I know some would like all incidents of note, but as you know we were not allowed to add the red card in the county match because one of the clauses is that "display of any footage of controversial incidents which may involve disciplinary action by match officials or the football authorities is strictly prohibited". However, I will ask the club to seek clarification as to whether it can be included now that the red card appeal was rejected. It may still not be allowed as Keddie will serve (has served) a ban for his red card and was therefore subject to disciplinary action by the match officials.
  3. noted. thanks
  4. not the best overhead kick you will ever see but perhaps one of the most important at the TCS ever .... that was a BIG 3 points

    why ?
  6. Scotty replied to TopSix's topic in Caley Thistle
you are wrong, Caley can afford one loss and for Dundee to win all their games , and Caley would still go up you are wrong, Caley can afford one loss and for Dundee to win all their games , and Caley would still go upYour right but that means our only defeat would come against Dundee. We are actually allowed to draw one of the last 4 matches and lose to Dundee and still win the league. This however doesn't fill me with confidence as we could lose to either 4 teams before judgement day 59. 1 loss means we could reach a max of 70 points. There are so many permutations of what "could" happen but here is just one ....As it stands today, Dundee can reach 69 if they win all their games so those who say we can lose 1 game and still pip Dundee are correct. However you are ignoring County, who have 3 games in hand over us. County could reach 71pts if they win all 8 of their remaining games and whilst it is perhaps unlikely they will do that given their fixtures pile-up, right now we cant assume that because if we do lose one and they win all theirs, they are champions. Jesus wept....I have watched this forum's comments fluctuate according to results. I don't post much..because I do realism, not game to game complete irrationality. ICT can react how they like......and it is great that many fans posting on here have...compared to a dozen games ago, stopped the " we are entitled and Butcher is crap" spewing.....but it is just about time that ICT supporters got their heads round the fact that there are two teams in a game...and t'other team is mostly as good as ICT...and we cannot legislate for their efforts on the day. There is plenty to stop ICT winning the League.....like every other team we still have to play being as determined as ICT. Very lucky win against Raith..great result...well done...but don't let us believe that it was anything other than that......and keep our collective fingers crossed that we are as lucky in the next six games. Totally agree oddquine, confidence is good, but some are stepping over the line into arrogance and it could yet blow back on us. We snatched victory from the jaws of disaster yesterday and there is no reason to think that teams we still have to play will not be trying to grab points themselves. Take each game as it comes, treat the opposition with respect and then do a clinical operation on the park to grab the points.
  7. No need to get personal. on topic please.
  8. we didnt have anyone filming it ..... end of story. Dont think anyone asked Partick if we could use their footage or not. Dont even know if thats allowed as it never crossed my mind. We will however raise all these points with the club and ask them ..... its all new to most of us so there is still a bit of a learning curve to travel along. Before anyone asks ... footage from today cannot be displayed until after 5PM tomorrow night but it will depend on how quickly Andy can create the footage, how quickly I can title and convert it, and how quickly Peter can adjust the index page on the official site as to what time it appears. :hiding03:
  9. I am just wondering how we will fit all this into 3 minutes of highlights footage !!!
  10. Odi miles offside according to Robbo
  11. Wyness scores for Dumbarton today too
  12. what's happened to the Twitter feed? This is the second game now without it Unfortunately, I was only blessed with one pair of hands and although we do have a couple of people providing previews and reports, I have been doing all the in-game match day updates single handedly for the last few games. Because of this I have had to prioritise which bits I can do. sorry boss, was just wandering, I thought we had Don or someone who was doing it. nahh, not since he was doing the announcing. i have about a dozen different things to do on a matchday to update the ste so Twitter gets done eventually LOL ..... now that I have caught up with the stuff I need to do before the game and during first half, updates will be done as normal :D
  13. Barrenman scores for County
  14. Williamson booked (22) Dundee now 2 up

  16. no. there is no minute by minute commntary, your best bet is this thread as we have people at the game posting as well as people getting updates from friends at the game .... not to mention Robbo on open all mics.
  17. Trust me .... the club are more than aware about the value of Andy's efforts and if they ever forget it, they will be reminded !!!

  19. That is a very good question and one we will probably have to ask the club to clairfy with the SFL. The clip would certainly 'flow' better if at least part of that incident was in the highlights as it directly led to the first goal.
  20. I purposely reduced the bitrate on the encoding to try and make it workable for all ..... if its buffering a lot then perhaps your connection is not as good as others ? Having said that, please let us know if there are any technical issues with the videos and if it is something we can adjust, we will. You may notice a few tweaks and changes to the video page on the official site over the next few days as we try to optimise the service for all.
  21. On behalf of those involved .... you are welcome ! Like anything else in life ... especially things that are free, if you dont like it, dont use it.
  22. It wasnt really conveyed in the press release as you have to be brief and to the point and give praise all round but the lion's share of the praise MUST go to Andy Johnstone who is both filming and editing the footage. Andy sits atop the shoogly gantry (except for the County game where it was too windy and unsafe), films the game and then goes home and edits it .... editing is a far harder task than most imagine and will take numerous hours to clip 90 minutes down to only three (as much as we can show). Andy then supplies us with the edited video which we add credits, titles and captions to and then convert to a filesize and format that can be streamed properly. The club add the page to their site and voila, a truly collaborative effort that we hope is the first of many. Andy - I know you are registered on here but I am not actually sure of your username ....... please take a bow for your efforts.
  23. no, he did not. However, as per the terms of the standard agreement with the SFL - and within the press release if you read it -clubs are NOT allowed to show controversial "incidents that may involve disciplinary action by match officials or football authorities" and as Adams has indicated his intention to appeal the card then we'd be on dodgy ground if we included it.
  24. ok folks, sorry I couldnt say anything earlier ...... but see front page story here: http://caleythistleonline.com/news/fan-new...line-highlights
  25. That was the culture that was allowed to develop .... hopefully, recent events will have a positive effect on that caustic/toxic culture and we can move forward in creating a new culture of honesty and trust
