  5. ICT -V- Kilmarnock Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, 3PM ...discuss it during the game in the CHATROOM AUDIO COVERAGE Match Commentary - Not Broadcasting Open All Mics LIVE TEXT / SCORES SKY BBC P&J SportBox Sporting Life TEAM LINEUPS
  6. He has. However, I am not sure it will get an answer as it may fall into the personnel category which is off limits. We will ask it anyway as I dont see what harm can come from an answer like "he applied" or "we approached him". In either scenario, I think it will be good for the club.
  7. I could give you a list if you want .... but the biggest issue for me is that it should be a part of the official site rather than something farmed out to a third party provider. It should also have a URL that is something like www.ictfc.co.uk/shop or shop.ictfc.co.uk rather than http://uk.born.com/merchant-home/1217243021079091300/ If the club or PremiumTV dont have the means to provide such a platform, then at the very least, if you are getting a third party to supply the site for you (and you are allowing them to cream off commissions etc) then you should choose a provider based on a number of categories, one of which would have to be their ability to customise your site so it at least looks like it is integrated into your own site. For an example see http://caleythistleonline.com/features/cto-shop ...
  8. nice offer "Thedoomed", feel free to make a similar one on the boards the next time the sides meet. One of the best away days I had was the "28 minute" game in Killie a few years back ..... we had pre-match drinks in a pub not far from the ground and when it was called off, went back to the same pub for the rest of the evening ..... met up with a lot of Killie fans and had a great time .... think we left a lot later than we would have had the game gone the full 90 minutes
  9. a number of off-topic/abusive posts have been removed in an attempt to keep this thread open and on topic.
  10. I have voted for Falkirk because I think Yogi has made enough rumblings about things to indicate all is not well there. Dunno if there is anything going on behind the scenes but a few weeks ago he basically said he has done all he can do ....
  11. My two-penneth I dont use BeBo so cant comment on the actual site, but would have thought that the official site is the place to get things announced. We already liaise with Darren on events and put them both in the calendar which is shown on the forum index as a forthcoming event, in the calendar page if you choose it from the menu, as well as in the club news forum. We can and do also provide a platform for discussion of those events on here. There are already several facebook groups related to ICT. dont see why a new one is needed. Could you not use a pre-existing one and ask the "officers" to make you an officer? I would certainly look favourably if you made that request of the CTO group on facebook. We (CTO) are also developing a facebook application that will use the Facebook Connect service to allow you to login to this site using your facebook profile/login and pull things like status and profile into your forum profile. This will come in IPBV3.0 which is currently in beta but the potential for integration with facebook (and potentially myspace and Bebo) is looking quite exciting.
  12. Like you I didn't know anything about it... until now... Posted on Jan 30th as a sticky: http://community.caleythistleonline.com/in...showtopic=11199 PS - dont forget - car boot sale this weekend too !!!!
  13. I think we may all get our wish ..... Danny is well respected in the youth development arena and the fruits of his (and others') labours as mentioned in an earlier post are now starting to come through. A combination of local youths and youngsters that have been brought in has seen this year's first team squad with something like 8 players who came through the U19s. It will work both ways in future I think. The local youths will get a chance and if good enough will have a clear path they can follow to the first team. The youngsters we bring into the U19s also have the same path open to them. Inevitably we may sell some of these youngsters in future and that may facilitate the signing of more experienced players to supplement the youth in our first team squad .... In short, we are developing a resource/asset base that can help not only the local youngsters but the whole team ..... Butcher is also well placed to help with this. He was present to oversee the development of McFadden and Pearson at Motherwell and their sale helped get the club back on an even keel
  14. Wore his Cetic top to court? Whilst I agree with the fact that the guy is an erse of the highest order, can I just ask whether our fans regularly take a change of clothes or a suit to away games ? He's probably been in custody since Sunday afternoon and his "mates" would have buggered off back down the road leaving him no way to buy/get a change of clothes even if he wanted one.
  15. I would disagree. Whilst the Baltacha season was no fun ..... Craig Brewster is the least succesfull ICT manager.
  16. Yup - I cant help wondering about that either .... especially if he ends up at a first division side as there is not a lot of difference between many of the 1st Div and the SPL so the argument about the shoulder being less of an issue in the lower leagues is bogus. Before the calls to sack him gathered pace, many of us were crying out on the forums for "Brewster the Player" or someone in a similar mould to play up front with the inexperienced lads .... if he can consider it now, why couldnt he consider it before.
  17. Lets not go down the route that GB is not paid Alex. He has drawn an emolument for at least the last couple of seasons in the region of 40K. I personally dont grudge him that because if you put the gripes from some aside about the effectiveness of what he actually does, it cannot be argued that he doesnt spend a lot of time on ICT business and this presumably affects his income from his "real job". Both he and the other directors have in the past worked for free (or for the odd 'perk') so now that the administrative requirements of the club have to be in line with UEFA and more work is required, its only fitting that he is paid. As for CC - his case is different. He effectively became our first "full-time" player when he signed for the club and was given the Centenary Club role in addition to playing duties. As a member of the Centenary Club, it is my personal opinion that he has done this job well both as the "face" of the Centenary Club and also as an effective officer of that post over many years. You might call it "jobs for the boys" that he was allowed to return to that post after giving up the manager's job, but he is good at it and surely you want someone who has proved to be good at the job doing it. I dont know how good a coach the Doc is but presumably he must be decent as he has now worked under a fair few managers and any one of them could have changed their backroom team root and branch if they wanted to. In DS's case, apart from the most recent episode where he showed too much loyalty to a failing manager, I don't have a huge issue. He is our major shareholder and his word carries a lot of weight, especially with the makeup of the board. He has done tremendous things for the club - both seen and also behind the scenes. However, I was disappointed that he and AS couldnt make it work as I thought they could have formed a tremendous partnership. DS's fiscal prudence along with AS's vision of the future could have made things interesting and pleasurable. Instead we got a lot of politics, a fair bit of posturing, and a p****** match that DS ultimately won. It did no-one, and certainly not the club any good. I am also disappointed that he chose to publicly criticise the fans for verbalising their concerns about Brewster. The fans were proved right in the end and whilst I don't agree that we need to "sack the board" as suggested on another thread, a little humility in admitting that maybe the fans were right would not go amiss.

Would be nice if Alba was available on streaming over the website like other BBC channels ..... or their Football coverage was available on the iPlayer ...... a nice VPN connection and a stream like that would put a smile on my face
  19. Talking of the "ruthlessness" - I do remember one player at the time - a defender - telling me that players, or defenders at least, were told they would be fined if they went over the half-way line. His play was very negative but in hindsight was that an attempt to create a team that was solid at the back which would grind out results or was it managerial incompetence ? Charles will correct me if I am wrong, I am sure, but as a fan in that first season, you got the feeling that Steve Paterson, the all-conquering Huntly hero was on the radar long before Sergei's departure and the fans were happy to see the change ...... the rest as they say .... is history.
  20. Think this article suggests that TB knows how to deal with him ...... http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.a...059808?UserKey= "I know all about his character. I know what he can do and he is desperate to play. Hopefully we can get him fit and get him going."
  21. He certainly is WGS - Wee Gurny S**** I used to like his quips (quck word?/Velocity etc) but more and more he is a whingeing little bar steward who gives other teams no credit whatsoever. Away and lie in yer **** ya ****
  22. Myself and Luvgravy could have been watching him in Toronto FC colours this season if he had agreed terms ....... here's hoping he is a success and realises how close he came to being out of the game at a decent level before Butcher took him on.
  23. For what it is worth, I agree with you in part that some of his tackles were rash, but that is Blackie. When his dander is up he can be reckless yet he can also be effective .... However, I disagree that they were "cowardly late challenges from behind". Another ref may have viewed it differently and booked him earlier or even sent him off for persistent fouling but CR didnt and he had a pretty good game in the end. He does need to screw the nut at times, but the Black of this season is a far more mature player (in terms of discipline) than the Black of last season or beyond. He certainly proved one thing to many people and that is his appetite for the relegation dogfight before he moves on.

..... But Ref ..... I went for the ball ......
