    Don Cowie Offski

Not unexpected given that most fans have said he is our best player so far this season and his performances have been top notch. Guess it depends on a few factors - a decent offer, the player's wishes, and whether or not the manager wants to sell ..... At 24 (and therefore no money due to County as he came on a 'bosman' and he is over the age for youth compensation) he is the sort of classy player (along with Black) that Brewster might want to try and build the side around so perhaps we should look to sweeten the pot for him. He is under contract until May 2009 so maybe a contract extension with enhanced terms is in order ???
  2. you mean like 2002/03 & 2003/04 ??? : http://www.caleythistleonline.com/shirts.html
  3. not quite !!! Its the first 3 teams in each group (24) who qualify for the next round and are joined by the 8 third placed teams from the CL group stage making it the "round of 32". straight knockout after that. this is a good site that explains who goes where .... http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/
  4. a tall order - can see a fair few thousand of the fans hopping over to wonderful Copenhagen for that game or maybe a cheap flight to Spain, not so many for Russia and Greece though.
  5. Has to be (vertical) stripes for me .... A predominantly solid red or blue kit makes us look too much like other teams in the SPL. I would have no problem if we wanted to alternate our away kit in blue or red/black but our main kit and main identity is both red and blue and that has to be accomodated.
  6. A Toronto FC win tonight would be good - they face Colorado Rapids at "***** Sporting Goods" park in Colorado tonight coming off the back of a good 2-1 win against New York Red Bulls on Thursday night where finally Collin Samuel showed his potential !

  14. I like that comment from CB.
  15. Perhaps the question should be asked directly with the decision/policy makers then rather than the fans who will give their variety of opinions
  16. Our record goalscorer, a certain Mr Wyness also took forever to get his first. Marius will come good, and when he does I get the feeling he will score regularly.
  17. I would disagree. If they are moderating a thread or editing a post, they are wearing the mod hat. If they are making a post of their own they are not. quite simple. But this is going off-topic so thats my last word on it.
  18. Having seen the video of the incident on you-tube, that would be my response to Dida .... "YOU TUBE !!!" Gordy - agree with what you say about much of it. The fan shouldn't have got onto the pitch, and he certainly shouldn't have approached or touched the player and I am sure his life ban from Parkhead and whatever the courts throw at him will make him realise that .... but bottom line is that Dida is indefensible ... he was touched/patted/slapped .. use whatever word you want and if hurt should have gone down on the spot, yet instead, he chases after the guy and when he realises he wont catch him goes down as if hit by a sniper's bullet !! If he actually caught him, what was he going to do ? Dida may actually be Celtic's saviour in all of this ... if he had gone down on the spot, clutching his face after clearly being patted by the fan, UEFA would probably have no option but to fine Celtic heavily and award the game to Milan 3-0 but his antics and fakery - at a time when UEFA are monitoring things like this (eg. Mikoliunas) - has probably meant that Celtic will "get away" with a heavy fine for crowd control violations and nothing more. The Milan chairman knows this which is why he is not making a big deal about it, but I wouldnt be surprised if Dida has to pay some price for this at Milan.
  19. lets just dispel a little myth here once and for all ...... Admin, and any of the moderators (senior or otherwise) are just as entitled to express a personal opinion as anyone else who comes on here .... so long as what they post falls within the site rules. Mods/Admins cannot remove the "moderator" badge from their profile when posting so the fact that they have agreed to help with the (hopefully smooth) running of the site has absolutely no relevance when they are posting something as a normal user. The moderator tag is only of relevance when they are moderating something or policing the forums - and it should be patently obvious to anyone when someone is, or is not, wearing their "moderator hat".
  20. as Jenny says ......... [attach=1]
  21. mine .... probably falling for the Soccer AM wind-up a few seasons ago !
  22. At least Dida is on the mend ..... [attach=1]
  23. I first saw it on the Main Forum.... checked the logs - this post has not been modified/moderated or moved in any way. think the question is a legitimate one, but perhaps could have been added to one of the other threads about the incident.
