  1. ... and devotees of gospel churches stand up, sing and dance while they praise the very same lord. Question - which set of worshippers actually look like they are putting in an effort and reaping rewards by truly enjoying it !!!!! You are correct - you can sing while sitting down ..... you just cannot put the same passion into it !!!
  2. There is no way that anyone from the club, let alone the man himself is going to answer this question online whether that is on this site or on the official site. If you are serious - and for once I think you are - then I can see only two avenues for you, or perhaps 3 1. Write to the club, or possibly the chairman and ask 2. Have a shareholder table a question for the next AGM 3. Ask the question via the supporters trust
  3. Roscoe23 - it was CaleyD who mentioned 6 or 7 not Dennis !!! Think you have a lot to learn about 'strike partnerships' though ..... Paul Ritchie went a long time where he was not exactly prolific and had fans all over him for being crap .... but he was the man that probably setup half of Wyness' 80+ tally of goals as well as ending his ICT career on a reasonable number himself. Graham Bayne was getting a similar hounding and I am sure more players will get the same in years to come
  4. Mantis - we are toying with the idea of a "video section" on the 2007/08 site - wouldnt mind featuring some of these old videos of yours (just the football related ones :004:)
  5. We wont end up going to Carlisle - Gretna have a groundshare with Motherwell and will be playing all their home fixtures at Fir Park until Raydale is compliant. As they havent even got planning permission or produced architectural plans to redevelop Raydale or build another stadium, it might take a while (which is the crux of the Dunfermline / St Mirren protest)
  6. my take on the article is similar to CaleyD ..... and it is the newspaper not Dennis who is saying not to expect goals .... the paper says "Meanwhile, Dennis Wyness has told Caley Thistle supporters not to expect him to fill the void should Dargo depart." whereas Dennis is saying "In terms of goalscoring, my second spell hasn't hit the heights compared to the first time I was here, but what you have to remember is that the club were playing in the First Division when I left. It goes without saying that I would like to score goals, but to do that in the SPL is very difficult because the standard is much higher than it is in the First Division." In other words - he wants to score loads but acknowledges that it is harder to do that at a higher level. end of (non-) story
  7. think this should be the singing section anthem ..... :023: anthem
  8. nope - he is registered on here but that user is not him.
  9. as I mentioned on the other thread in the NPL - we have actually purchased the "donation version" of this software which has a few additional features when compared to the freeware version we were using this season - should make it more interesting all round and also easier for users to manage - fixtures split up by week numbers etc ... weekly winners, monthly winners displayed ... also little arrows showing how many places you jumped or dropped .....
  10. If Tommy's pitch is damaged I am sure he will be crying "foal" ...... good view available from the "mane" stand ..... at least these ones are expected to "hoof" it up the park ok.ok ... I'll get ma coat ..... we even got a smilie for that now too .....
  11. how did I know that was going to be the response ..... :015: :015:
  12. and there speaks our unofficial counsel :004:
  13. Thanks L_G - I stand corrected :004:
  14. mailer1234 - whilst it is noble of you to support Mr Smith, the simple truth of the matter is that I can see no defamation (note correct spelling) in this thread. Previous threads are inconsequential as you are complaining about this one. Although we could argue the semantics of whether the correct term is slander/libel/defamation lets not bother as what you are talking about is the same regardless of its heading. definition 1: words falsely spoken that damage the reputation of another definition 2: an abusive attack on a person's character or good name definition 3: charge falsely or with malicious intent definition 4: attack the good name and reputation of someone The initial question was "What exactly does he do ? What has he achieved since starting ? I am serious as I dont know." ... thats right a QUESTION. no falsely spoken words, abuse, attacks or false charges simply a question. The second response would appear to be an opinion of where a poster has experienced his influence. It is widely publicised that he was one of those in charge during the Dunfermline game where fans were allegedly targeted by stewards because of orders "from upstairs". He has also been seen on occasion trying to help ease traffic congestion in the car park. The response was sarcastic perhaps, but not defamatory. I could add a few other incidents but I wont, instead I will try to keep this response in the context of this particular thread. The third response is also an opinion, and lets be honest here, one that is held by a lot of fans. I am sure Mr Smith works hard at what he does and maybe those who work behind the scenes at the stadium see more evidence of that than we - the great uninformed - do but to the majority of long term fans of this club he is invisible until a problem occurs and then is usually tagged with the blame for that problem. As the top executive at the club, the buck stops with him and although he may be blamed unfairly at times (?) he has done nothing to promote any of his achievements to the fans either on here when the site was official or on the new official site (despite suggestions/offers that were made to him to do just that). I personally have no idea of what he has achieved at the club even though I have sat down and had reasonably pleasant conversations with him on numerous occasions. Finally ... As I said above, we will indeed monitor this and any other threads that pertain to named individuals and remove anything that we deem to be defamatory. We are not obligated to do this (please read the terms and conditions), but have routinely done this over the last 13 years the site has been in existence because we are - for the most part - very responsible in what we allow/disallow. The onus is on the poster to be responsible for the content of their postings and for any "injured parties" to use one of the complaints mechanisms - of which there are several - to highlight to site admin anything that concerns them. As Mr Smith is a registered site user, this is well within his capabilities. [edited to remove incorrect 'match commander' reference as pointed out by LG. couple of other small edits too]
  15. nothing defamatory or slanderous has been said here. sarcastic perhaps but not defamatory or slanderous. As with all threads regarding "individuals" we will keep an eye on this and take appropriate action if it does go too far. Mr Smith is also a registered user of the website so has the facility to complain if he himself feels the comments have gone too far.
  16. this is not 'news' ..... County have been doing this for years due to their better all round setup in that area. Our youth coaching seems to be centred around (the very successful) "hotshots" during the various school holidays rather than week in and week out presence at grass roots level. I am sure TeamICT probably do have a presence week-in week-out but with their website being "temporarily unavailable" for the last year and scant information on the official website its not exactly being marketed to the public !!!
  17. Queen of the South for me too ... good bunch of supporters ... other team would be Toronto FC .... maybe not a diddy team in terms of finances/stadium etc but the level of play is below SPL.
  18. this :004: or this :016: tends to be accepted as "tongue in cheek" as do these default ones which are a bit crappy ;) & :P . We also have these that might be used .... :naughty: :tongue04: :tongue05: :tongue06: :tongue02: :tongue03: I also had a look around some other forums and found these which I added to the list of smilies .. maybe these are better as 'tongue in cheek' .... :tic01: :tic02: If anyone wants us to add specific smilies, either send them to us or send us a link and we will consider it .... one of these days we will sort out the smilies and remove all the crappy ones but for now I have added another few that are nothing to do with tongue in cheek which I came across while looking ! :lalala: :pram: :dunno: :doh2: :sillywave:
  19. Danny Dichio for Toronto against Kansas .... crap goal but it was the first the club ever scored ..... 384 minutes into their season (ie. 24th minute of 5th game !!!) ...... oops, wrong forum
  20. going to sticky this thread so that others can add more youtube links to ICT related material. I have done a search here and there when I have the odd spare moment and there are some quality clips on there that people have obviously spent a lot of time (and skill) putting together but they are not always easy to find. As far as we are aware, links to youtube footage do not breach the rules in the same way as links to live matches or torrents of complete games do so we will allow this kind of link until we hear any differently. Please restrict links to ICT related clips only. we can if necessary create a similar thread in anything goes for generally good youtube links for general footage that is Inverness related, non-ICT football related or just plain old funny.
  21. if it is ..... Scotland games will be 8 hours behind UK time - they are playing in Victoria / Burnaby on the west coast so get your alarm clocks set !!! SUN 01 Jul 07 14:15 Victoria JPN - SCO (10:15pm SUNDAY UK time) WED 04 Jul 07 19:45 Victoria SCO - NGA (03:45am THURSDAY UK time) SAT 07 Jul 07 17:00 Burnaby SCO - CRC (01:00am SUNDAY UK time)
  22. erm ...... none ...... but i did have loads of hassles trying to listen to them on the Internet from over here .... must have walked hundreds of miles pacing up and down my living room floor trying to figure out how to get the audio streams to work on days when they wouldnt.
  23. especially Australian ones ..... :001: anyhoo .... :018: to me, and :018: to CaleyD ...... stay on topic please
  24. I would agree that ticket prices in general are too high .... but I guess thats the nature of Scottish football which has - for years - been pricing itself out of the range of normal people and certainly families. Clubs are partly to blame for this as they do have some discretion over pricing but the governing bodies must also take some flak as they set the bar for the minimum prices that can be charged. I would like to see clubs like ICT introduce 'tiered' pricing .... you start with the most expensive tickets at the half-way line and they reduce in price the further round the ground you go with the cheapest tickets being in the stands at either end. When you do that, concession tickets are un-necessary as the lowest ticket prices are broadly similar to what you would charge for these anyway. This is what Toronto FC have done. They issued season tickets at very cheap prices to encourage sales, but also kept some back for more lucrative 'packages' and match day sales. The end result - 5 home games, 5 actual or near sellouts so far and an expected 2 year waiting list for those wanting to become season ticket holders. Season tickets start at the equivalent of £100 for the supporters (singing and condoned standing) section behind the goals and go up to several thousand at the half-way line. They capped season ticket sales at 14,000 (out of 20,000 seats) and the rest are available for either special packages for certain games (like a half-season ticket) or for match-day sales at significantly higher prices. So far I have been to 4 league games and last night was an 'exhibition match' against a strong Benfica side (including Rui Costa) ... there are still another 11 home games including the MLS debut of David Beckham in August when LA Galaxy come to call and another 'exhibition' match against Aston Villa in July. My total cost ? $220 Canadian dollars, roughly £100 !! If I was buying each ticket as a single item, the cost would be $550 I could have sold my Benfica ticket last night for about $100 (face value), Villa tickets are expected to go for the same amount (face value) and right now the unofficial (i.e. tout) price for an LA Galaxy ticket is $6-700 ... If I were to sell them all (which I dont intend to do), that would pay for 4 years worth of tickets !!! The SPL and clubs need to look at their pricing models to encourage more bums on seats ... whether it is reducing prices, offering deeper discounts for season tickets, tiered pricing or any number of other ideas .... otherwise more and more people are going to stop going.
  25. Its not Craig .... however, I would say this person is a pretty decent source :004:
