  1. seems that the publicity Mr Warnock has generated with his name being linked to the caley thistle managers post is working well http://www.jamboskickback.co.uk/showthread.php?t=49132 certainly reminded a few folk that he's out there and unemployed at the moment... :023:

  7. you might not have the qualifications Clacher but you certainly have the ability. i think you're doing yourself down when you say some of the things you do. you're more than capbable of getting a good job and holding on to it. there is also the advantage that if it doesn't quite work out you would be willing to fold the sheets till something came up which it undoubtably would. of course if your wee nest egg is not too bad you could always think about finishing your uni and then you may feel that it's ok to be doing jobs like the one you are! Go for it Clacher, you've nothing to lose and everything to gain... good luck

  10. :001: For once the "pressure" is there for everyone to see. The last time that we were in a similiar position was in the first SPL season - we changed our tactics and the "Dogs of War" camaraderie got us out of a big hole. Not that bad yet and this time there is a bigger, and on paper, better squad to pick from. I would have thought that it was also clear that this is CC is well under the microscope and the next few games will hopefully prove that he is up to job in terms of selection, tactics and motivation. The Huns game was about the worst we have played for a long time, there was an improvement at Well but there was also on-going concerns. Injury has played its toll but that is not an issue now. We have an experienced SPL squad - we should be climbing up the table soon. As the inimitable Hans Seyle once said to me: "Stress is an unavoidable consequence of life. Without stress, there would be no life?. However, just as distress can cause disease, it seems plausible that there are good stresses that promote wellness. Stress is not always necessarily harmful. Winning a race or election can be just stressful as losing, or more so, but may trigger very different biological responses. Increased stress results in increased productivity --- up to a point. However, this level differs for each of us. It's very much like the stress on a violin string. Not enough produces a dull, raspy sound. Too much tension makes a shrill, annoying noise or snaps the string. However, just the right degree can create a magnificent tone. Similarly, we all need to find the proper level of stress that allows us to perform optimally and make melodious music as we go through life. think i've found it!!! :004: :001:

  16. I didn't think they wanted away fans in there, otherwise that is where I would have been. As it was, I was in Jack Daniels, outnumbered by many Well fans and 3 Celtic fans watching the Celtic match. Was a good atmosphere, though I felt a bit out of place really. ?14 for a student ticket isn't too bad either, though it won't beat the ?2 I pay at Hampden on Saturday. we've always been welcomed in the fir park club... :021:
