  1. Surely everything in moderation. My boys do have games consoles but are not on them morning noon and night. They have never been allowed to self police this so dont know any different. They also have always been encouraged to play outdoors and are all very interested in playing sport as well as watching sport. IMO this is called parenting and whilst my hubby and I will never be perfect parents we do not let them do as they like as some of their friends are allowed to. I think schools also have a part to play in getting kids into sport. If they have a good teacher and friends into sport then this helps regardless of home circumstances. Initiatives like free tickets to schools and the community skills programmes have a big part to play in engaging kids.

yes please! Anything is worth a try to improve things at the moment even desperate measures
  3. One suggestion being offered the other night is that we should start again and "invite" teams to participate in the SPL. based on crowds etc. Could only see this going back to the bad old days of only central belt teams, Aberdeen and the 2 dundee teams being seen as worthy. So teams like ourselves and County who have worked our way up the leagues but dont have huge crowds would not be invited even though we are well run and live within our means. Crazy. Surely this is a great opportunity to change the balance of power ie voting rights etc but I wouldnt bet my mortgage on any of the clubs doing it!
  4. Agree wholeheartedly with Caley D. Same old same old. Everyone on the programme talked a lot but listened very litte IMO
  5. Above a bit unfair if what the bbc are reporting is true. Wylde volunteered to leave without a package to help save a job of one of the admin staff with families. Admirable if true. Also probably has a club to go to.
  6. Didn't take long did it? Ok and replace with who? Na not at this point yet.
  7. Scotty you ain't missing anything believe me!
  8. As for doran think he's picked up a further hamstring injury. Dunno when back no word?
  9. Not too sure about Mackay Stevens up against meetings and cant see for the life of me how golaobart can be match fit but we will see. By the way hope the guys at the match and caley club have a great night. Not feeling great today so watching at home on the telly.
  10. Interesting defence of meetings tokely golaobart and Gillette according to espn.
  11. Agree with renegade if the announcer was better then maybe the music would be better. Embarrasing that we cannot announce our own players correctly.
  12. No way will the u19 league be scrapped would not be PC imo. As an aside see Portsmouth are in real trouble. Administrators have discovered that if they get relegated (when?) the parachute payment will go to the last owner and not the club! Real danger of them going out of business aparently.
  13. How long is it gonna be till those running scottish football wake up and smell the coffee ie start to change things as at the moment our game is dying?
  14. Have to admit to having a good chuckle at this earlier on today!
  15. looking forward to it! Going on a monday night is unrealistic for my family due to school and work so this is a good alternative. Craic was good last time and Im sure this time will be the same.
  16. A bit of good news amongst all the gloom. Well done Graeme do us proud!
  17. Oops! Wasn't far out was he.
  18. Rumoured that Rangers are travelling up today and staying over at the kingsmills cash on arrivall. If this is true is it right that they still owe clubs money (including our own?) but can afford to stay over?
  19. Great suggestions. Hope whatever happens tomorrow we are loud in our support of the boys.
  20. IHE Ill take yr word for it! Ps hope its not rude.....
  21. Was just wondering the same Laura. You know I bet theyll stay the night at the kingsmills as well!
