  1. Remember an hour to two is fine.
  2. I dunno but let's enjoy the journey!!
  3. Alex... we are talking here about a sport I have been deeply involved in for over 40 years. So yes, I am more than aware that commercial race organisers as a whole are also ripping off charities by charging them even more for places. And please be in no doubt that what the Loch Ness people charge runners is well, well above the norm for road races. I see far too many entry forms in the course of a year to believe otherwise. But please just understand that, having seen one sport taken for a financial ride by this company, the only reason I posted and all I am concerned about here is that my good friends in another one do not suffer the same fate - which more or less sums up the first couple of sentences of my first post. Don't think that anyone is questioning your motives Charles.? I think we all understand what you are saying especially with regards to the athletics angle.
  4. Only one way to find out. No harm in trying it for a few weeks and see what the out come is The harm could be loss of income and if done midsession. Would probably annoy those who have bought season tickets.
  5. I'm with Yngwie on this one. I helped last year and had a great day! I understand what you are saying Charles but I'm personally happy with the deal CJT get and at least it's a fun way for us to earn a bit of money. With regards to Caledonian Concepts I don't know a large amount about them but I have worked with them before. I was in charge of the Invermoriston Marshall stages at the First Monster Challenge a couple of years ago. They were very professional to deal with and those helping got fairly well renumerated. However, what impressed me most was how safety conscious they were even moving a first aid team into my area as the road was so slippy. Just my limited impressions!
  6. Please add me too Scotty. I will pay CaleyD if ok?
  7. Not trying to be negative Krishima but its been tried and wasn't exactly a rip roaring success. It was probably be repeated at some point tho. I share Terry's frustrations but crowds are what they are unfortunately.
  8. I thnk you are absolutley right OCG and I also partly agree with 12th Man in the previous post. I wasn't at the game on Saturday since I was down south but I am following that, with a crowd above 4000 for the first time since the traffic lights were installed, the "system" (or lack of one) couldn't cope. I am also following that there was a larger than average but not huge travelling support trying to access the ground along the A9 and turning 270 degrees through the roundabout in addition to the normal home support and the roundabout plus lights couldn't cope. Certainly the times taken to reach the ground quoted by some other posters on this thread appear eyewatering. I just wonder what it's going to be like when Celtic or Aberdeen visit - or even Couny with just a 90 degree turn off the roundabout. The bigger issue is the siutation in general at the stadium roundabout even outwith match days. I am in absolutely no doubt that it is far more difficult to negotiate that roundabout since these useless lights went in. I don't normally use the roundabout at rush hours but one thing I have noticed is that since these lights appeared there are regular warnings of delays on Radio Scotland traffic updates whch there never were before. The impression I get is that it wasn't particularly broke but some clown somewhere has tried to fix it with these damned lights - and has made it a whole lot worse. It's a bit disappointing that councillors are not jumping up and down about this - possibly because they are completely preoccupied by the fracas and overspend on link road at the other end of town. Between one thing and another, the traffic situation in Inverness is a mess. But at least it will ease a bit quite soon when the tourists once again come to the conclusion that there really is nothing in Loch Ness and clear off home and leave us in peace once more. Charles as a Loch Ness resident Amen to that! You live in Loch Ness! Ha ha ha no almost tho....
  9. It might actually be better NOT to spread the word abut that since being live on TV is actally a disincentive to people to come and pay through the gate. Its an away match Charles. Its a free taster of what ICT have to offer, not the same as being at a live match for the first time but its a step in the right direction I'll have a word with your mate Tony Hall and see if he can give us a bit of extra coverage on BBC 1 Scotland prior to the game. Never mind the telly come and enjoy the real thing. The real caleyaway experience. I can recommend it!!

  11. Not sure one can say Butcher has assembled a full squad. ?? He certainly has a fine first 11. Not much on the bench though, unless somebody knows different? If we ge injuries or suspensions what can we do about it. The squad seems wafer thin to me. I am told rightly or wrongly that free transfers and loan players can be signed after the deadline if the club has room on the registration forms. We really ought to be looking for back ups. This is not a troll I am genuinly concerned with the bench. Hmmmmmmm. Think we've got a lot more on the bench than last year. Good young local players such as Polworth, experience such as Esson. New up and coming players like Williams, Greenhaugh, Adgensen and still Watkins and Allen to come in properly! So not sure what your problem is here Lawrence tbh.
  12. You know I've come to the conclusion that the club are doing almost everything they can to increase attendances already. I've come to accept we are a young club trying to grow its support. We already have the u12 free season tickets and free schools tickets. I would like this extended to u16s but I understand that this would cost the club money and they would need to replace this money if it were to happen. It's a long term project so must be given time. This suddenly has become an issue since we've been successful. It's as if we can't find anything else to discuss as everything on the pitch is good at the moment. Personally I think our core support is about 3000 very loyal folk who seem to attend regularly. Let's embrace that and move on.
  13. Read the first post.
  14. Sorry wasnt having a go! Just think the police and/or transport Scotland need to sort the traffic lights out. Can't remember any major problems with a 4000ish crowd before these traffic lights went up.
  15. Only shut in Scotland tho.....
  16. Already a thread on this somewhere. Can't see how this is the clubs fault tbh but there obviously was a major traffic problem yesterday.
  17. And how would we pay for this empty stand for flags?
  18. Hmmmm wondering the same or are they very young?
  19. Thank you! You learn something new everyday...lol
  20. Where is the underpass? Didnt know there was one.
  21. He's not the biggest physically but he's certainly one of our hardest working players ever! Personally think with his scoring rate we've little to complain about.
  22. Perhaps letting your local councillor and the police know your concerns would be apt here? Also feel folk have to heed the warnings to come early to avoid the traffic. Hearts and ICT both put out info for the away support regarding this but most in the away end seemed to arrive either just on kick off or after!
