I'm surprised your not part of the English media with a statement like that... we should not assume to be better than any other national team but we can expect our team to play better than it has been doing over the last few years and so far under Smith we have seen a vast improvement. On comparison to previous Scottish national teams we are starting to get up to scratch maybe not world beaters but we are definitely starting to look like a team that can compete.... and I thought you were the positive one on this board!! McFadden is coming of age!!! After having a hard time to settle in the Premiership, last season he started to show some real potential and was one of the few reasons Everton had such a strong finish to the season. I think this coming season he is going to flurrish playing beside the likes of Beattie, Cahill and now the excellent Andy Johnson!! We have a goal scorer! Boyd bagged a mass of goals last season and hopefully he can continue his run of form We have a set-piece taker Maloney scored 5 free kicks last season The 6 real contenders for player of the seaosn last year were all Scottish... Sorry Gaz, but for me it wasn't even a foul. They were running side by side then you see Henry fall over clutching his face. Especially ironic after this comment he made after the CL final Well maybe that was just revenge!! TBH I was cursing Torres and Ramos throughout the match for falling over with little or no contact at all. I have watched the reply of the foul several times now and Puyol definitely impeded Henry but obviously Henry had no excuse for grabbing his face. What I can't understand is why this is sparking a reaction?? The games I have watched so far have had far worse theatrics and most of the time there has been no challenge

Fair enough he made the most of it....... but it was still a foul.... and I have seen far far worse than that in the tournament so far

Because this is the standard of player that our Scottish players in the national squad compete with week in week out Although I hate most things tainted by the OF Larrsson is one of the all time best players to play in the SPL and spent more seasons in the SPL than most Scottish players
