  1. I remember a long time ago on Lovelines (or whatever MFR did on a Friday) the two of you phoning up the show separately to say hello to your friends but not each other or something equally childish really.. can't remember Na me and Diane used to be best of buds until she went on MFR and became too 'famous' to speak with the riff raff .... but I'm not bitter :P
  2. No one seems to have come back to me on this so thought I'd ask again... Has anyone written directly to the club with a detailed question regarding stadium ownership? Caley D you not keen to send an email and see what sort of responce you receive?? Be careful what you ask for.... I'd just like to point out I'm not sticking up for the board here and CD I have genuine sympathy with your position but I think if we are going to get to the bottom of this we need to have a balanced arguement rather than a witch hunt.
  3. So why not go with Rosscoe at LB and Proctor at RB? He's not exactly excelling as a full back on his favoured side, I would hate to think what a decent winger would do to him when he's leading with his wrong foot. I know it worked for the Well match but as soon as a decent manager cottons on it would be highlighted as a weakness
  4. After seeing my first game of the year I'd go: Esson Bully Tokely Munro Shinnie (can't be much worse) Proctor Cox Obdhiambo Foran Hayes Rooney or flat 4-4-2 Esson Bully Tokely Munro Shinnie Foran Proctor Cox Hayes Rooney Obdhiambo
  5. Has anyone thought to ask the club directly through email?? Everytime I've emailed the club they've come back with a response is there any reason they wouldn't on this occasion?
  6. :( yeh mate, ps3 though... mrchibber for game tag
  7. Delighted he didn't sign for Dundee... I could see him becoming a regular for United... cracking centre half... all the best to him
  8. I'm not that young anymore but I'd still kick your @ss :(
  9. Since IHE hasn't done his smileyometer here's mine Esson :( :( Maybe a bit harsh on Esson but I think he was suspect for the first 2 goals. If he stays on his line for the first one it's not in and he had plenty of time to get across the goal for the second even if there was a deflection. Tokely :( :( I love the guy but I think he's had a really poor season so far, missing preseason through injury can't have helped but he didn't offer anything in defence or attach from the full back position. Munro :( :( Bad day at the office, he seemed to be matched up with Kyle but there was only one winner when the ball was in the air. I think it's the worst I've seen Munro play since he was moved to left back against Hearts last season... one of my favourite players but he seemed to run out of ideas on how to defend against the human battering ram Bulvatis :( Poor, I think he's got a great future at ICT and delighted we've signed him for at least the remainder of the season but he was all over the place on Saturday. Didn't know when to press or stand off his man, beaten for pace and power by Sammon. I don't know if he was hooked because of injury or if Butcher just realised he wasn't at it Djebi-Zadi :( I feel sorry for the guy because there are moments when he gets the ball and he looks like a proper top class full back but the next moment he throws it in our net. I haven't seen enough of Shinnie to say whether he's a better option but he can't be much worse. Proctor :) :) :) :) :) I think he's finally found his suited position, out of all the decent performers on Saturday I thought he was most impressive. He looked composed on the ball, never waisted possesion and showed he's not scared of getting stuck in. 1 tackle in particular infront of the dugout was a proper all hands on deck 50-50, I thought Proctors skinny frame was going to be snapped but he came on top and carried on as if it was nothing. Keep it up Cox :) :) :) :) Similar to Proctor, I thought Sanchez was having a great game until I realised Cox has grown his hair back. Full of energy and looked to have a good partnership with Proctor in the centre, bossed the midfield Hayes :) :) :) :) Even if he had signed a contract for next season I doubt we could keep him. He is electric, plenty of skill and he never stops running... I'll be suprised if he hasn't got a choice of SPL clubs by the end of the season. On Saturday he was running himself into the ground by the second half but a true gem of a find by Butcher. Sanchez :( :( Doesn't do enough for me... infact doesn't do anything. I think you have to ask why is he always the first person to be subbed and would we not be better starting with the player he's subbed on for. Can't remember him doing anything but lose the ball throughout his time on the park. Foran :) :) :) :) Worked hard, isn't as good as he thinks he is but he worked his erse off in the second half and came closest to scoring. Rooney :) :) :) :) I'm a massive fan of Rooney... runs channels, holds the play and tries to take defenders on when he gets a chance. He had no support from Sanchez which left him a drift and chasing lost causes at times but IMO he is a player of real potential and we should be looking to build our future around him. Subs Obdhiambo :) :) Lost the ball on a couple of occasions but gets 2 smileys for that drilled volley Duncan :) Not much to comment on Eagles My mate was driving so couldn't stick about to see his cameo... any good?? Basically some of our players played really well and some were an abomination. Good day out though :)
  10. Ok... what about... Fat Ronaldo's hair cut for the World Cup 2002... James Morrison doing what every football fan would love to do.... Tube clicky
  11. Sorry Alex but you're well off the mark with that comment... Ewan never had a positive word to say about anything (similar to another poster on here) and took pleasure in winding people up. Was found out by one of the posters on here (IHE I think), instead of taking it on the chin he threatened legal action..... it would have been more apt if he had the nickame weasel instead of squirrel
  12. true though isn't it?
  13. The 6 points dont really count for anything against the 6th seeds. It only means we have a free weekend when everyone else is playing. Was the group with Italy, France and Ukraine not a 6 team group anyway? Am I right in thinking top 9 go through leaving 7 spots which means top runner up goes through and the rest go to play offs? Or is it just the top 7 runners up who qualify? I know mathematically it doesn't but psychologically to have the points in the bag and maybe a few goals in the bank gives the players a lift and competitive match experience... certainly beats having a meaningless international friendly that no players turns up for.
  14. That *** was behind me and I also sat next to him in the main stand for the Dundee game on boxing day. He had his wee boy/future jail bird on his knee whilst he launched all sorts of vile at ref, for a decision he got right. At Killie at least he left his family out of it. My mum twice stopped me going over to tell him to go home. Hold me back.......... That was the longest chant I've ever heard. It had the feel of a continental game. I went from wanting it to stop, to joining in and hoping it went on forever. Seemed to be quite a young guy as well, only in his 20's or early 30's.. I thought you had to be over 40 to be that miserable.. I've seen him at a few games always sits away from the crowd of fans and gives the players pelters
  15. Was wondering that myself... prefer it anyway
  16. I think the point is that we have no bank debt (loans or overdraft). All companies have creditors, just because of the way normal business transactions are usually settled in arrears - paying suppliers, utility bills, VAT, PAYE etc. general running costs then?
  17. Not looking to argue with you CD because you seem to have a better grasp on the financial aspect of the club than I do but there's a couple of things you mentioned that don't sit well: Even if it is a quarter of the ?5mil figure quoted... that's a lot of money to invest. Why would you hold that against him? If you were investing your own cash in the club would you not expect shares in return? Again, I don't think it's fair to hold that against them. It seems clear to me that the stadium ownership is the major issue here. From the sounds of it we are no worse off than the majority of clubs in Scotland... infact if we have no debt (CD please feel free to explain the difference between a Creditors column and debt because they sound exactly the same) then we are a lot better off.
  18. :blah01: Na, not entirely won over but you have to give the man some credit... we asked for a responce and he's given one. There are still a lot of unanswered questions but unless he is bare faced lying (always a possibility)... 2 very important facts to pick out from his statement: 1) There is no debt 2) There is money in the bank
  19. gave me a sore head :blah01: na credit to everyone involved.. great noise, it made me think I was at some sort of obscure Uefa cup fixture with the constantly repeated chorus. Killie fans must have been wondering wtf was going on one complaint.. it's always been and always will be 'CALEY ARMY'.. I can't stand the 'loyal army' p!sh!!!
  20. Good read that... Connsidering we were calling for some communication from the board, Sutherland has answered a lot of questions. From what he says there we have no debt and money in the bank
  21. I hate that we always seems to be in the shorter groups.. generally mean we miss out on 6 points against a weaker side. Horrible group but I'll keep the faith... Getting tickets sorted for the 13 of March so hopefully have an indication of Levein's approach then
  22. the Walter Smith interview
  23. Di Canio (playing for Sheffield Wed) when he pushed the ref over
