  1. I don't understand all this fascination with John Brankin......he must be in his 60's.
  2. I'm genuinely surprised CCC. You look much taller in the chat room. :015: However, based on the Highland News photo this means that 10CC must now be only 3 foot 10.
  3. I have to be honest and say that my contribution came courtesy of the aforementioned Weitz and Luxenberg. The plot thickens! :004:
  4. DO the images on yer post give us some clues to the exercises in your programme? As a recent starter at the gym maself I would reassure IHE that while the arms and legs will show impressive improvement the gut remains its usual impressive self. But surely, Johndo, these were fake man boobs under yer ICT shirt all the time.
  5. It's very simple really, though perhaps too complex for girls. Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) and benzene have been measured since 1993 in a shallow, sandy aquifer contaminated by a late-1980's release of gasoline. In wells downgradient of the release area, MTBE was detected before benzene, reflecting a chromatographic-like separation of these compounds in the direction of ground-water flow. Higher concentrations of MTBE and benzene were measured in the deeper sampling ports of multilevel sampling wells located near the release area, and also up to 10 feet (3 meters) below the water-table surface in nested wells located farther from the release area. This distribution of higher concentrations at depth is caused by recharge events that deflect originally horizontal ground-water flowlines. These data suggest that milligram per liter to microgram per liter decreases in MTBE concentrations relative to benzene are caused by the natural attenuation processes of dilution and dispersion with less-contaminated ground water in the direction of flow rather than biodegradation at this point-source gasoline release site. The transport of MTBE was simulated using two numerical modeling approaches. One approach was based on varying the first-order biodegradation rate constant in space to account for zones of strongly anaerobic ground water within the plume and adjacent oxygenated water outside the plume boundary.

    Caley Tartan

OK When I worked for Hector Russell I worked with Ian Broadfoot at the club to put the tartan together. It was produced and woven by MacNaughtons of Perth who also trade as House of Edgar. They also retail through the site www.tartankilts.com. They would be the best people to speak to about it as they can weave it and sell it to you but i'm not sure about their minimum amounts for weaving purposes.
  7. Popped into Charlie's Cafe this morning for a coffee and a bacon roll. They have some excellent aerial photos of Inverness from the 60s and some great shots of the old cafe too. Well worth a look......and a bacon roll :003:
  8. Orange VW Beetle 1300cc TRS 282K. Cost £420 and lasted me a couple of years.
  9. http://www.medienshop.de/medienshop/programm.jsp Not sure if they will be available in the shops over here or not.
  10. 23. English hooligans running riot are British
  11. Some marvellous memories here but lets not forget the cordon bleu delights of the Morrisons greasy spoon in the market arcade.
  12. Remember being at the game. Hadn't Nairn beaten Ferranti in the previous round?
  13. 13 months old and being fed custard by my father.....so the story goes. I remember Harry Worth too.
  14. Malpas deserves his chance and I think he would do a good job.
  15. It would be wonderful if Peterhead came up. It would give County a local derby and make Elgin look more isolated than ever. A real win win situation. :003: :003: :003:
  16. Christmas sounds about right to me. While Brew may be partially responsible those at board level, including the grocer, need to take a long hard look at themselves when management team after management team keep on failing
  17. Just to confirm that on behalf of the Trust I contacted Devlin a couple of days ago and he has been back in touch with us. We'll see what comes of it.
  18. There was some suggestion a while back that if certain countries did not put a representative forward then other countries might get two if two clubs were up for it.
  19. The tourist board staff in Aberdeen used to call the A9 the Aberdeen By-Pass because no tourists ever went to the Granite City and all came to Inverness instead - which is as it should be! :001:

    Our Latest Fan

Like Caley100, I'm touched to seen as a celebrity. Then again, some say I'm just touched. :015: I know I'm a bit slow but it's only recently I realised that Julyan and Cameron Stout are brothers.

  22. Thank you, Mantis, you're quite correct. It was the legendary John Duncan I was meaning
