Top of the League and your no
Sounds like a good idea to keep this on page 1. I can see this thread coming back to bite the op on the ass. Who have county got next?

Dafc match report - pretty amusing: http://www.dafc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/FMatc...8~49632,00.html photos from the match: http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/youngpars200...ERNESSCT080809#

Kyle Allison
Anyone really care? If he was deemed not up to scratch by county then he'll probably put in a good shift (if he gets a game against them). Still think we could have done with mike Fraser this season

Top of the League and your no
what does 'your no' mean? Are you trying to say you're not? Inbred tink. County are going to get seriously pumped at the end of the month mate. Keep your gloating in your peg bag.

The coming season
I'm not sure if any of the players or staff read these boards but I want to wish them the best of luck, as the best club in the North of Scotland, for the coming season. Good luck ICT - here's hoping for the best

Predict SFL1
swap dumpfermline with partick (and caley with slumdee)

So....
Dundee being the favourites for the league means all of the pressure is on them which wlll, I believe, work in our favour. I hope we can do it - we NEED to get off to a great start on Saturday. The pars at home will be a very challenging game though. Over the course of the season we need to win at home and at least draw away - as st j did last season. No mean feat though as our home record is poor. I just hope that teams coming up will be affected with the long journeys. I can't imagine many clubs in the first having the resources to stay in the night before in Inverness (unless Dundee can afford to).

Stadium Announcer
fair play to caleyd for working for nothing. I still believe the club needs to invest in a new PA system and get rid of that tinny crap they've got at the moment

Caley Stadium
how much were you for your county season ticket renegade? I'm sure you'll like the south stand

Delusions of grandeur
I can! Not everyone can afford to go home and away so have to make choices. Some of the away games last season had great atmosphere.

Radio Coverage - MFR
scotty, any idea if the club has a wifi network fans could use during a match? Would be a lot quicker to upload scores, pics realtime as opposed to 3g

Livingston FC
there's talk of them being docked points. At least we'll be safe next season... On a plus point they will have a threadbare squad and there's a Wagamama's in Livingston

Idea for MFR?
brilliant! Some monty python songs thrown in too would be good

And then it was Hearts.....
and the kilmarnock players are threatening to strike at the moment. Can't be happy campers http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...ock/8175984.stm

Loan deals out the way
From the services of those two players about 0 goals I think but as has already been mentioned we spent most of last season either getting rogered or pumping the ball long up front and not in the manner I have talked about where Barrowman might flourish. First game of last season and Tokely fired that brilliant ball across the Aberdeen box and Barrowman popped up to finish. Easy chance yes but that is the player he is - a penalty box striker. And we need to play in a manner that makes the most of his abilities as such a player. If we don't then there is no point in him being on the pitch as he isn't going to get the ball down, speed past one defender, turn another inside out and then rifle it home like say Dargo might have done. I think Barrowman will score a decent amount this season.

Idea for MFR?
The last thing I'm going to say is that the club needs to focus on getting youngsters in as fans and try to attract people who have moved to the area. I enjoyed the atmosphere at the Forres friendly to be honest. Chilled, relaxed and no badgering by stewards. And there was no music! I want to see the club move forward and they need to think more about the fans. I don't want to start a new thread and this is my final post on the topic. Sorry for going on. Also apologies as I didn't know you're ICT staff

Idea for MFR?
How many people spend all that money going to football matches to listen to music with great sound quality? Yes it might be part of the "package", but a miniscule part. I don't imagine we'd get any more fans at all if we spent thousands on an upgrade. football clubs are businesses pure and simple. I get countless e-mails from the club trying to flog hospitaility. My point is that if they improved the game experience they may get bigger crowds. Decent pies - how many folk have been swayed to go to rugby park for the pies? I have for one! And there was a tiny queue. Stewards who don't act like they own the universe - it is fans who pay their wages. Regardless of wether or not when we go back up I'm put off going to tannadice because of the stewarding. The problem here lies with the board. I think a good youth set up would be a positive move, as would s bit of investment in infrastructure. Even before you get In to the ground many people who drive pay to park. Then when you come out Any sign of the stewards? No chance. My feeling is that the club needs to improve the match day in all the ways it can in order to attract fans. The sound system is just a part of it. Perhaps with many people moving to the Highlands and going to watch football with no affiliation to any team they might choose to stay away from the TCS with these factors in mind. Apologies for the rant but not much has changed at the club for too long

Idea for MFR?
The last figure I saw for revamping the PA System was something like ?35,000...that's not exactly "shoestring" kinda money. no investment no moving forward. I can see a prolonged spell in the first coming up... ICT need to concentrate on the fans not the hospitailty. And you've avoided the rest of my post. I take it you think that the games wouldn't be improved with a better pa system? Wonder if there's one going cheap in the lothians...

Idea for MFR?
football is entertainment (or it should be) and listening to that tinny sound system is embarrasing. I think a decent sound system would improve the 'atmosphere' situation and with a better atmosphere may even attract more fans. This shoe string budget argument really doesn't bode well if the club is thinking about moving in the right direction if you know what I mean. Speak to most folks who DON'T go on a regular basis cite the lack of fun and atmosphere. I'm sure a decent PA system at the singing section with the seats removed wouldn't be too expensive

Idea for MFR?
I take it you're not a paid up member of the Scotland Supporters Club? If you are check the back page of the latest newsletter... There is a disproportionate number of Scotland fans when you go to Hampden from the North of Scotland...

Idea for MFR?
are there any local songs that are not teuchterish? MFR SHOULD be covering ICT games with live commentary. Song for ICT? I think the club should invest some dough in a new sound system in the northstand. Something with a bit of bass. Songs like that shemale singer pokerface through that tinny soundsystem are grating as fook. And that dario g number should be binned / deleted off the hard drive. Song choice for me? U2 'still haven't found what I'm looking for' or caledonia

Livingston FC
Great post. As much as I dislike Livingston FC I do feel for their fans. If it was ICT I would be devastated. In terms of the future of our club remember there were rumours of a amalgamation with county? What are peoples views on a ground share and using county as our training ground?

Radio Coverage - MFR
I got my grubby mitts on a new iPhone 3gs and have the wunder radio app. It picks up both the am and fm mfr stations (search moray firth radio for the am and MFR for the fm output). Both are working fine here in the Netherlands and I'm hoping I will get a decent 3g reception at the stadium to listen to the output at the games. Pity they're not doing coverage of the games - even an open all mics. Any ideas if they're planning this? What would be even better would be if ICT did a free wifi network for fans at the ground. I had a search with my itouch last season but all were locked. Grrr

ALBA Challenge Cup Draw 2nd round
Anyone remember when Stranraer came up to Inverness for a midweek Scottish Cup replay in about 1997 which ended 0-0 AET? Paul Cherry then missed his penalty and Jimmy Calder saved two to send ICT through. surely we should beat them this time round without the need for extra time!

On a lighter note...
