What Dreams May come
More than confident we can make the top half of the split. Here's hoping we can get Hayes signed up for longer.

Away fans today
Great to get a mention in the BBC matchday report today for the noise (or should that be noize?) we were making. I was wondering why the stewards at tannadump are such over zealous, jumped up powertripping tubes. Are other fans of other clubs treated as badly as we are? I read an article in the Herald on the way home. The jist of it was about attendances in the SPL being down. I think under this heading should be 'see tannadump stewards'. Great to see the management team on the pitch at the end though. I think they appreciate the cheering and hopefully what the fans contributed today can further lift morale and confidence for the upcoming games this week. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention we're Top Six!!!!

Roll call for Dundee Utd
Mind and put in an extra wee prayer for a win. Even without the thought of divine intervention the bookies have today cut their odds on us winning from 5/1 to 9/2. Btw, anyone know how much a taxi from the railway to the centenary bar is (roughly)?

Will we be the SPLs whipping boys?
We will finish in the top six.

Away Fans today
Probably quite a few county fans in there wanting so see some SPL action! Probably would explain the chants aimed at our manager.

The problem is that both sides of the infirm have flags, banners, songs etc not because of what the ly believe in, but to have them to antagonise (or at least try to) other sets of fans. That's the problem with this situation. I wasn't at the game when someone at our game had a Palestine flag on display. I didn't agree with the fan being told to put it away (or having it taken off them) as I genuinely believe they were actually supporting the Palestinian people that day by attending the rally and then going to the game. Why was it that Celtic 'fans'' were allowed to have flags in the away end on Saturday? I'm left pretty confused by this.

Was the Palestinian flag brought to the Gretna game by a fan who had been at a rally in town?

A wind of change?
I couldn't see county being admitted.

A wind of change?
FANS VIEWS VITAL TO SPL FACELIFT SAYS GEORGE Caley Thistle chairman George Fraser feels that the club would "look positively" on expanding the SPL. He was commenting on SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster telling a Scottish Parliament debate that there was "a wind of change" for a bigger SPL, though there were issues on implementing this. George Fraser said:"Caley Thistle would be keen to have a constructive look at any proposal for extending the division to make it more attractive and also for making things more financially palatable for the relegated club, following our own experience. "But we'd need a discussion on the precise details before fully committing ourselves.Having just come up from the First Division, we certainly know that there are SFL clubs capable of being full time SPL outfits." Mr Doncaster has also indicated support for an earlier start to the SPL to help the Scottish teams in Europe and possibly create space for a midwinter break. George Fraser responded:"We wouldn't be selfish over an early start if it helps our clubs' Euro challenge. Beginning in mid July might also attract bigger crowds in better weather. "The midwinter break is always difficult in the timing. But the Caley Thistle board accepts that there must be change in the game and we have to listen to the opinions of the paying customers. "I'd be more than happy to take on board what the fans are saying. In this challenging financial environment, we have to look at improving the football product for them. If there is a consensus for particular change, then this club will react positively." Neal Doncaster told the Scottish Parliament that expanding the SPL from 12 teams to 16 would mean teams playing 30 games a season instead of 38. This would mean four fewer home games and the financial loss that would involve. http://www.ictfc.co.uk/articles/20100818/fans-views-vital-to-spl-facelift-says-george-_2208825_2126738 Just read this article online. Following on from the 5 live programme last week on the SPL preview, I'm kind of in favour of an expanded SPL. I think summer football would be better and the crowds would be bigger. What are the thoughts of others? I think this suggestion of an earlier start with a break in winter isn't such a good idea.

Gil's out for a month.
Hope he makes a speedy recovery and echo the point of hoping Roy gets a game.

Pretty sure the caley social club is members only. The sports bar at the ground is open and kids are allowed in. In terms of food the British Legion is fairly popular with away fans - Killie fans always go to it. There's a new hotel on Academy Street in Inverness called the Ramada Encore. It's meant to be pretty decent and I think they do group bookings.

BBC Celtic
I understand where you're coming from. It appeared they only showed the clear cut chances. It p*sses me off how they ALWAYS leave our highlights til the end of the programme EVERY week. Wee bit of variety would be nice. Levein was pretty accurate though with his comments about us and our performance in the first 30 minutes. Surely Ryan Esson must be on his radar now.

In our defence ?
From yesterdays performance it looks like my relative who works for Barnet is right about Gillet - he is good and has an excellent workrate. McCann was good too - no doubt Hibs will take him back come the end of 2010. Esson - wow. I know I was making the case for Tuffey to start but Esson was supreme yesterday. Though Munro was ok tbh.

Just watching the game back on Sky+. Quite clever editing by the Sky broadcast team the way they avoided showing the punter who ran on to the pitch. Chants of 'Argentina' were lol'able. Sort of mince county fans come out with.

Should be going. Booked a cheap day return from Embra.

a cap for Esson
Esson was my man of the match yesterday. Superb performance.

The smoke bomb was pishy compared to the RAFC efforts. You could tell there was a lot of locally based punters in the away end. They should stick to going to watch county.
