  1. Mr CaleyJag and I will be there as its a 'home' game for us. incidentally whilst running along the beach at Aberdeen last night in my ICT fleece (it was freezing!) somebody from a car shouted 'Come on! TB says you can do it!' Never been heckled or cheered before but this made me chuckle!
  2. Not doubting this but am sure I saw this in the local Aberdeen paper as being on the 12th??
  3. This is what the BBC are saying about it. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9442787.stm
  4. if that is imdeed the case then I agree, rain virtually stopped after the 10am call off, by 11.30 pitch certainly looked as good as many games at other grounds had been played on this season if games can have a KO delayed because of crowd congestiion or indeed I do recall a game v Aberdeen? having kick off delayed due to delays caused by roadworks on A96, so a little common sence would have said give a little more time, think game could have probably gone ahead at 12 anyway, but definatly later 1pm 2pm?, if we have a water retention issue get one of those rollers they use at cricket games to soak up the water, sure it would cost less than we have lost in the 2 recent tv call offs and yes who ever is to blame it will be Inverness CT will look at fault in the peoples eyes down south regardless of the truth We heard this on Radio Scotland
  5. Aberdeen, cos I live here and 99% of their fans and definitely the local paper seem to be under the impression that their football team is the greatest ever, however when they loose its the end of the world. They also seem to think that they're hard done by cos they're far away from the central belt. For example in today's edition Joe Harper suggests that its a crime that their Scottish Cup semi-final is on a Sunday at 12.45pm and suggests that in order to accommodate his team having a 3pm Sat kick off (his argument was that they may need the next day off to celebrate!!!!!) the whole Scottish card of that weekend should be switched to the Sunday. To me that sums up the Aberdeen arrogance, they would knock out another 30 odd teams fixtures to suit themselves. Other than that, nobody really puts me up or down.
  6. Watching it now on BBC Alba, our fans sound in good voice
  7. What gets me is that they will both be played at London. The roads will be busy from Manchester that day.
  8. When is the semi-final draw? Tomorrow just after 1pm.
  9. What football stadiums have ICT fans been to and liked? I'm sure we've had threads like this before but you'll need to excuse my self-indulgence, Mr Caleyjag and I are giving our game against Motherwell a miss and instead are going to FC Barcelona vs Real Zaragoza . We'll hopefully do the tour on Friday and attend the game on Saturday night. Maybe even pick up a few tips for TB????
  10. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/2011/02/03/dundee-united-chief-stephen-thompson-blasts-spl-for-late-call-off-at-inverness-86908-22895848/ Annoyance all round by all accounts.
  11. Its amazing isn't it, would any of us realistically take a job with such poor prospects of still being in the post only 18 months later? I think that generally speaking fans are a lot more impatient now, and also they know that with enough pressure a manager can be removed from his post, either through pressure to resign or by a board sacking him. For these clubs the grass is always greener, if Aberdeen had their time again, would they have kept Jimmy Calderwood? Credit to Colin Calderwood though, tonight he has come out fighting and I at least have my fingers crossed for him.
  12. TB has just had the greatest RANT I have ever heard on Radio Scotland about League Reconstruction, he was getting breathless and when at the end John Barnes offered him a glass of red wine, TB replied 'Give me a bottle of red wine and I'll smash it over someone's head!' Quality
  13. Following Ayr beating Hibs in the cup tonight, BBC Radio Scotland and Chick Young were speculating over Colin Calderwood's position as Hibs boss i.e. should he still have it? I think this is shocking, he hasn't even had a transfer window to try to put his influence on the team (admittedly we're in one now) how can Hibs fans justify calling for his head? I don't think that Scottish football is the worst offender for this, looking down south, who would have wanted to be Avram Grant this week? With 'Sources' leaking all over the place that he was going to be relieved of his position, if I were him I would have put any journalist who asked me about my job to name his source, talk about being stabbed in the back!
  14. Radio Scotland have an open all mics on cos the replays in the Scottish Cup are also on Tuesday.

Who do you fancy now tm4tj??

Mr CJ and I have got it on too, Anderson did well. This 2nd game looks closer?
  17. Did anyone listen to the coverage of this on the radio? Mixu came out afterwards and slated his team for being so rubbish! Also one guy backed Sammon to score 1st and 1-1 - at odds of 110 to 1!
  18. At the away end at Telford Street in the 3rd Division, a 35 yard free kick by Richard Hastings to secure a 3-2 last minute win v Cowdenbeath. Only memorable cos my Dad said to me 'only an idiot would shoot from there!'
  19. Believe me there's loads of rangers fans going to watch ICT home games and it's part to do with the rubbish atmosphere at home IMHO . It's like the lads that weren't allowed into Parkhead yesterday with their " loyal " flag and it's obvious Rangers links . Since when have Rangers fans had exclusive rights to the word "Loyal" We have many Loyal ICT fans. If narrow minded brainless numpties assume the word Loyal means Rangers fan, well, waste of fresh air IMO. Anyway as for the game Just as well I didn't make it, as I do like a song, and god forbid, I do like to enjoy myself. I am fairly certain Jaime etc and myself would have been in same pub before the end of the game. Dewsbury Dude no offence but I'm glad you never went, after your chest bearing antics at Ibrox I would have feared for your health had you done the same thing yesterday!!!!
  20. Am stuck in the middle on this one. To be honest it would be a right pain in the bum for a number of folk, myself included as travel plans have been made, tickets bought etc and a midweek game doesn't suit everyone. However, I feel that John Reid and his club have a lot to answer for on this subject, they have carried on and on about that one decision, at the end of the day they won the game get over it!!! I think the ref made an honest mistake, we all do it, the world goes on. And another thing, he should look down at his own team benches antics before having the audacity to criticise anyone else's behaviour. If TB acted the way that he did, I would put my house on the fact that he would have had numerous 'bringing the game into disrepute' charges, however Lennon thinks he's immune????
  21. Like Old Caley girl I thought long and hard about replying to this post too. And yeah I'm rising to the bait. I'm a woman and a qualified referee so don't insult my intelligence by saying I know less about the game than you do simply because I have different body parts to you. Many a discussion is held in my and Mr Caleyjag's house about a 'controversial' refereeing decision which Mr Caleyjag doesn't agree with but I can (sometimes lol) explain to him why the referee has given the decision that he has. And to the folk posting about the number of female fans we have I do think that our percentage of female fans is slightly higher than other clubs, I put this down to our club being younger than others, therefore more families coming?? I don't know, but you can certainly tell it when you see the quality of our ladies facilities as compared to other clubs.
  22. If folk have access to Sky and their SPL round up they showed the Hayes chance where he ran in and shot over, one of those at the time you think is close but now wish he had passed into the box!
  23. Scottish ref Craig Thomson had to abandon this game after 8 minutes due to crowd trouble. By the sound of Sky Sports News it was quite nasty....
  24. The fact that we weren't charged for parking, the quality programme, the good performance by our team and the fact that Mr CaleyJag and I sat next to a man (no idea of name sorry!) who was quite happy to indulge Mr CJ in his discussing tactics banter :)
  25. Think it was the North of Scotland Cup at Grant Street late 90s the week after Mike Teasdale and Brian Thomson ??) signed for us, and we thrashed our Dingwall neighbours 5-2. Seem to recall Daisy was IMMENSE that day.
