  1. I do not think that the result tonight will effect anything immediately. A positive result will naturally boost the coffers, hopefully add the confidence to leak into the remaining league fixtures and give us a trip to Hampden - even though there is a potential hammering awaiting - and of course provide a degree of respite for those in charge. A negative result - even with a good performance - will undoubtedly bring out the detractors and venom will be in abundance. And then we have to travel to play the Spiders and that could be the tarantula bite that effectively ends our season. The rumours I have heard are that there is going to be a significant remodelling of the upper echelons of the club. What we clearly need is a communication channel between the board and the fan base - and that should really be relatively simple to do, allowing a fan representative to feedback on a regular basis. That will not be to the likes of certain individuals but most will appreciate the philosophy. I am certainly geared up to be highly critical if things are not changed and I do think that the club will lose the fan base if changes are not made. Surely they can see that it would really be the beginning of the end and the people at the top will forever be deemed responsible. Anyway tonight - as the Sneck answer to Ed Balls would belt out over the tannoy "LETS MAKE SOME NOISE FOR THE CALEY THISTLE BOYS"
  2. Just looked at the crystal ball and it says "Billy says goodbye to the Killie pie" - sounds familiar Manny - hopefully the atmosphere not the scoreline - and is it a reference to Dodds or Mckay or both ?
  3. Or another "loan" from Uncle Roy ?
  4. There must be a watching "anorak" who could provide a comparison with other clubs. And this forum is possibly the biggest scaremonger factor in operation. I will always be concerned but my anxieties are eased slightly in the knowledge that somebody has dug us out of a financial hole on a number of previous occasions. Plus SG and peers would not have issued the statement if they did not have a Plan A or Plan B to fall back on and even provided some of the constituents. Lets face it - no matter how well we perform that promotion is the only way out of the mire.
  5. Have heard a lot of negative comments about most recent changes and developments SO What would you say is the BEST "new" thing to be introduced to Sneck in the last 10 years ?
  6. I would have been 8 years old and not quite ready for the Young Team !!
  7. Like I said - Bazza scares seagulls.
  8. Again it is really satisfying to receive plaudits from those who appeared to be detractors. A bit like the team really.
  9. Perhaps some of the oldies could show their support by bringing out a Sneck version of the Fascinating Aida classic ? WASSUP
  10. The points are vital but read RIG’s match report and feel the “hope” from an astute but realistically critical individual.
  11. From a psychological perspective can it be presumed that the reasons for the majority of scores increasing is linked to improvement in overall performances ON the field?
  12. Apology gratefully accepted
  13. It saddens me that some peeps can’t make their own responses and rely on churlish, childish and totally obvious interference with serious and clearly widely popular and supported expressions of views which only serve to prove that those posts and the posters are meaningless, embarrassing and probably strengthening the validity of the original content
  14. As I said we totally bossed Hamilton away and blew it. 4 points out of 6 tricky away games can do nowt but give hope. Friday night is now the biggest game in seasons
  15. What you mean that he has failed as a coach, a tactician and a feckin physiotherapist
  16. Tempted to go up to 6 but will put the brakes on and stay at 5
  17. Am I alone in being a bit taken aback that the Board have been heavily criticised by some fans for not being communicative but now that they have they are being criticised for not being totally clear. Is any type of business likely to bear all. The plans are now out in the open and they’re to be quoted if they go awry. To me they are also saying that we are safe for another season but suggesting that it is a defining season. It has been evident for some time that there would be no management changes until the close of this season. That structure needs to be changed and that ties in individuals and financial outputs. They are also not going to release up to date financial information as it is not clear. what we should be doing is filling the ground for the Killie game and making a menacing atmosphere. Then we have another great day out and put much needed spondoolicks into the coffers. And are the excuses of depreciating away supports and wages to injured players acceptable ? I am resigned to getting this season over - preferably with a bit of a bang - but pressuring the Board if the expected and needed changes and improvements are not forthcoming. There a number of “true” ICT people in the mix and they also have to start making waves which I believe may have already begun. Watch this space !!
  18. Should we just wait for an ambulance to turn up ?
  19. Comments on the performance, the tactics and player monitoring. How did Carson look, where did he play Harper and Delaney - what was Shaw like and did Samuels look sharp ?
  20. Post Dungdee I remain at a 4. My main hope is a Hampden appearance and I am very close to giving up on the play offs but in this league, this season anything could happen. The wounded are drifting back and Dodds is evidently looking at the Fan Forums and taking direction !!
  21. Cant complain about a point away at Dungdee - but what about tactics - and other results have gone our way from a relegation persepective at least - Spiders are looking good
  22. Amazed that Carson is fit to start - presume that Delaney will be at full back and Harper moved forward. Can understand Danny Mackay being benched and Samuels in the Billy role. Only surprise to me is that Shaw has kept his place but suppose and hope that Doran takes over later on.
