Dundee -V- Inverness C.T.
Lets start off looking at it from a positive angle - The last three games have all been away from home. We have conceded two goals in over 270 minutes of play. We have played below par and we have won two and lost the other by a single goal. Many people say that adhering to your best team is the best policy. IF TB had changed things and we had lost to Dungdee he would have been crucified. Every team goes through a dip in form and performance and if that is our dip then I will thankfully accept it. We also appear to have gone through a role reversal where we are more positive and attack minded at home and considerably more defence minded away from home. The home form and style is what people have been demanding fer yonks. Make TCS a fortress and grab the points away from Sneck. I did however feel at Killie - and even at Parkdread- that we could have capitalised on leads by being more positive. But the defensive unit is very solid. From the "personality" perspective TB will NOT change until things start going "wong" - that may be the perspective of some of us but results and points say different. If you had been given top of the SPL and quarter final of the League Cup in pre season you would have laffed. Lets wait to see the Hibees performance.

Team for Dundee
Will probably be classified as old fashioned but I personally am not a fan of rotation. Makes sense to keep on playing the same team as often as possible when you can. TB would also have been on a hiding to nothing if he experimented and took us out of a competition we clearly view as being important in many ways.

Sounds like Brill has been tested so far. The line up shows how seriously TB is taking the cup.

Grant Street Park
Never feckin mind about attendances as they were less accurate in the olde days than those produced by Cellic and Tinkerville today. The Opening poster will undoubtedly appreciate that the packed houses in Sneck just oozed atmosphere and better than ever experienced in the SPL.

Same concerns as those raised by Mary Hill as after the Killie match where we won but did not impress. Vincent is more of a defensive midfielder and will never be able to play in the Shinnie role. As I alluded to last week the system appears to allow all five of the midstream to take the opportunity of bombing forward. That is a difficult system to operate and it simply is not working - another test of Butcher's ability to change ? Has he got a plan B ? Again as I alluded to last week it may be time to rest Vincent and play either Agaddsteen up front with the frustrated lonely McKay or try Nick Ross in a Shinnie type role. The bubble aint burst yet.

I was going to remark that wee Billy may not have showed much enthusiasm after the goal becos he must be a little cheesed off with his lone role up front. Vincent was as good yesterday as anyone else on the park but he is more of a defence minded midfielder than a Shinnieesque one. It does look like he isn't employed in that role anyway and the system is there to allow Foran, Ross, Foran and Draper to move up and Vincent covers, we can't complain as it certainly works. I would love to see us in a 4-4-2 for a period of a game at least where we partner McKay with Agadstein - but we are not going to get the luxury of that until we have an injury or a suspension. Hopefully that is Plan B.

Partick Game
ICTBob in compassionate, caring and helpful human being shock !!!!

How much is wee Billy worth?
I am reliably informed that Athletico Barbarazidonigo and Real Rovizgreedybuggers put in similar bids. Lets face it the wee man will be offski in one of the next two transfer windows - and that is why we have to be in the top two and in a League Cup semi at the close of 2013 - the we can continue to watch him until the end of the season and hopefully grab a few spondoolachs

Tel get MOM award
Is there still a Young Player of the Month Award as Vincent should score us a hat trick.
