  1. This is Kenny Cameron acting as the spokesperson for the feckin Board. From my perspective it was a "no win" scenario whichever way we would have voted and thankfully we went with the integrity vote and the fan vote - as by the way did a lot of other clubs who are in far worse positions than us. All the feckin pressure was on the SFL clubs and they stood feckin firm. But dont understand the statement thyat we have lost the impetus to change - shurely that is what we have to feckin do. I would have thought that ANOTHER reason for calling an emergency meeting would have been our inability to assemble a strong enuff squad to compete in the SPL, the season ticket sale concerns and (this is a rumour that has been doing the rounds fer some time) the potential of approach being made to Terry Butcher.
  2. So what has happened to the "injury prone" signings that we have taken on previously. When anyone has a recurring injury history it is a huge risk to take on - especially if it has caused regular disruption. Several other clubs have also clearly made their decision - and this should also be a step up in respect of fitness and SPL football. I am afraid that number 2 would be the more potential outcome by far.
  3. I am fairly sure that if it was considered by the club it would be because every penny is going to be a prisoner, the scheme that you are suggesting would not give the same income i.e selling discounted tickets instead of full priced tickets I meant to offer the cut price tickets to the season ticket holders - and I can understand the season ticket holders bemoaning adult reductions but surely not for say under 14's. And would selling 200 tickets at a fiver a head not beat selling 50 tickets at a tenner.
  4. Oh well - more importantly has Laurence's car been fixed ?
  5. I think Libero mentioned it already - but he will not be available as he has a calf strain. He apparently is also training with the goats as he loves kids.
  6. NOPE - from yesterday's Lancashire Evening Post: Published on Monday 9 July 2012 06:56 Preston North End look set to make inroads this week in their attempt to trim the squad. t’s understood that Barry Nicholson, Keammar Daley and Darel Russell are nearing the Deepdale exit door. Scottish midfielder Nicholson is on the radar of Football League new boys Fleetwood – a move to the Cod Army on the Fylde coast would see him link-up with ex-PNE striker Jon Parkin. Andy Piley, local entrepreneur and Fleetwood Chairman has also announced that the club are in discussion with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in relation to the potential release of Terry Butcher to take over the role of Director of Football. Piley has also made it clear that a fellow unnamed entrepreneur from Inverness (pictured below) is a favourite to join Butcher as the Head Coach.
  7. Are they not a fairly wealthy little club IHE? You will never believe who the chairman of Fleetwood Town ( Andy Piley) is in negotiation with in regard to his new "dream" Director of Football and coach. This is not a rumour as I have proof.
  8. The latest photo from the Muir Of Ord FC stadium is not looking too good.
  9. And it looks like Barry Nicholson has chosen Fleeteood instead of us !!
  10. rumour - information, often a mixture of truth and untruth, passed around verbally. (the Free Dictionary)
  11. Come on fowks - SKY will have made their intentions clear and it aint going to be a feckin renewal without the Old filth. But SKY will never make a statement or allow anyone else to. That is the only issue that I have a tad of sympathy for regan and Doncaster (the only one) as they are in a total no win situation.
  12. Sneak the team formerly known as Rangers into the SFL First Division. Bully the SFL into submitting to a submission takeover a fair and structured amalgamation. Creep to the fat cats in the SFA to ensure their corruptness independent monitoring. Make Ross County play all their games on the Sabbath
  13. Sorry but am I feckin missing something here ?? Why the feck would we even be considering giving over seats to the Old Filth. Let them sell out the Away End, give them the uncovered portion of the Uncovered Stand. Then look at offering an extra cut price ticket to season ticket holders ONLY and encourage them to bring along a non-Cellic supporting friend or guest. And pack the wee West Stand area to our squad players in the under whatevers and encourage them to bring along a mate - and do not allow in anybody over a specific age in to that section via the North Stand entrance. The only way that we are going to attract extra punters is with "deals".
  14. So VitalSwindonTown is a reliable source ??
  15. Have yerself a read of the Buckie Fissure thread. It would appear that he is a yoof who is taking an opportunity to show his potential and the "reports" suggest that he will be a welcomed addition to strengthen the squad. I would hope that he is "tested" against Coventry Nil as that may be more of a potential "test". We cant say that TB isnt giving the yoof a chance and Sponge tends to suggest that our "style" is looking more like a passing rather than a hoofing game. My concerns are : In respect of Hogg and Tudor-Jones - I do not feel that you can "nurse" anyone through pre season. These should be "testers". Pepper to replace Hayes sounds a mite optimisitic but he sounds like a capable squad player and potentially the type of second half sub who may unsettle tiring defences. What the feck do we do in regard to a pre match warm up although someone with the background of Warren should know better - or was he injured in a tackle or turned his ankle and was taken off as a preacution. My main concern is, as alluded to by others, that Terry persists with his "Shane on the Wing" theory - I fear that he may regret that stance. But hey - it is early days but gawd do we sound as if we need defensive cover. Pre season is all about fitness, bonding and experimenting but the only real test before Midden is going to be Coventry Nil.
  16. Or fit or bonded
  17. We need a spearhead with penetration not rejected Cox.
  18. Tall men and fat women 'most likely to get bitten by midges' Tall men and overweight women are most likely to get bitten by midges, new research has found.
  19. I am feckin tempted !!! What is the itinerary ?
  20. The problem with loan signings are they are an extra expense - especially if they are coming from somewhere "good". I still expect them to be Plan B and on a strict six month basis.
  21. Do you mean Colin Hogg as Butcher calls him?!!
  22. Are you not mistaking that fer the feckin Thunderdome ?
  23. Staying with missus, wee one and dug in Dungdee possibly - anyone got a lift fer one ?
  24. But he has got potential in his buttocks, thighs and eyes.
