  1. Well - whoever he calls himself - he is pretty feckin good at fishing. :rotflmao:
  2. You know at the moment, I'm not actually confident we could beat ourselves
  3. Seemingly Butcher is going to sign an 18 yr old Dutch striker on saturday morning, he's only just left school but he shows great promise, and given 84 games could turn out to be another Rooney. Could be the biggest deal since Marius and sponsored too - Welcome to Sneck - Luc Castaignos.
  4. Yon theory about injuries due to a badly planned pre season is a very good point - plus the fact that we had people coming in to training at different fitness levels and probably desperate to make an impression. In my humble opinion I feel that the entire preparation for this season was woeful - We appear to have been really caught out by the early start and that in itself is amateurish. If you dismantle a squad at the end of one season you should have then you have to have a feckin good idea as to how and who you are going to replace them with - lets face it some of our signings were reactive and last minute - it can take weeks to bond. And I feel that the biggets gaffe of all was Adam Rooney - were they expecting him to stay - I would have thought that we would have identified 2-3 replacement options half way through last season and would have been chasing them as soon as last season ended. That was the one position that we all expected to be the hardest to replace and we appear to not to have planned properly for the eventuality.
  5. This must be the worst feckin thread in 17 feckin years.
  6. ESSON PIERMAYR HOGG GOLOBART SHINNIE DORAN ROSS TANSEY MORRISON FORAN SUTHERLAND
  7. Terry from BBC Sport: Inverness manager Terry Butcher: "It's a real low point for me. I have no excuses - Ayr deserved to win the game, they had other chances as well as the one they scored and they fully deserved it. "I take full responsibility as that's my job, and I can only apologise to our fans that we badly let down. "We can't have any excuse tonight and the players have been told that - it's totally unacceptable from our point of view. "I spoke from the start about attitude, getting the ball and passing it and winning the battle first, and Ayr were the ones who did that."
  8. Before tonite I said that I would willingly sacrifice a cup run as long as any experimenting was in a positive and encouraging manner. I will hold back a wee bit until we know more about the system and the positioning. Tuffey in goals was a no brainer - Hogg and Golobart was sensible - retaining Morrison and installing Shane was what most peeple wanted - playing Hayes and Doran was also what most people wanted. Only potential "gaffe" would have been playing Rosscoe in midfield and/or moving Shinnie forward - that could only have been done to make a place for Rosscoe. Very surprised that Ross wasnt started and where was Tansey. Lets face it - Terry went with a selection that most of us would have gone for in the main. We have no god forgiven rite to expect to beat the likes of Ayr - especially away from home in midweek. Unfortunately this has been a further confidence sapping experience. Killie is now a total feckin must win.
  9. I would be happy to service you regularly and any others interested. But what were your picks ?
  10. I have to concur and agree with RIG - I would have persevered with Hogg and Aldred - but as Mary Hill says we have to accept and move on - BUT such events do have a MAJOR influence on the dressing room. This could be a case of a player being too big fer his boots, fall out with Terry ana Mo and a rightful dressing down - but humiliation is not the answer. Golbart's signing was an evident sign that the Tanks days were numbered. But I cant help feeling that Tel Boy is losing the dressing room and that is as much down to his constant chopping and changing.
  11. Got some pictures from the match: Changing rooms Main Stand Socia Club Action from the game Red dot fer Mahonio as he was supposed to get his mother to bring in the feckin washing.
  12. 16 fans voted - what do those who were there and didnt think of the outcome ? : G. Shinnie MOM by a mile - almost twice as many "points" as Foran in the runner up slot, closely followed by Morrison. Only others to hit double figures were Hogg and Esson. Others who got on the scoreboard - with no 5 point scores but at least 2 punters voting fer them were Tansey, Ross, Shane and Golbart
  13. That could well be Tel boys dilemna - but the way I look at it we play 5 in midfield with Foran playing on the left side of a midfield three where he was most effective and playing Hayes and Doran consistently wide (and their replacements) - then again the problem with playing this system is that we have to look to playing the ball on the deck but that would lessen the responsibility for Shane - who still could be a fairly effective hold up player but he is also a penalty box player and more service from the wings may pay dividend plus the forward runs of Tansey and Foran - with Morrison in the defensive holding role. Shane is raw and makes mistakes but he has far,far more potential than Tade in the centre forward role and Foran is quite simply a loss in the middle where he can influence the game and be more effective as a captain. Tade can then be used as super sub but he needs 20-30 minutes not a last gasp addition. And the only way that Shane can progress is being played and given a run in the team.
  14. It could have been worse - you could have watched Elgin winning 2-1 away. I would have put on the full IHE "uniform",found the Hammies Singing Section, emblazoned ma ICT flag as close to the tinks as possible - started off with a Imrie hates the County chant, taught the weegies to sing a variety of ditties and did my uptmost to get as many of the 36 (or 18 cyclops - old joke!!) chucked out as possible. There would also be the potential of letting down as many tyres as possible on vebicles with a Ross Shire registration plate as possible in the adjoining visisting supporters stables and then a hoax stadium message as they were all leaving to say that there had been a landslide at Dunkeld which has closed the A9 and encouraged the caravan dwellers to go home via Aberdeen. Then I would go fer a pint with Granty and Russeldhino and talk about the good old days and sort out the transfer of Gardyne.
  15. Mmmm- from a psychological perspective it was interesting to hear Terry change the reactive use of the word "desperate" to the terminology of "strong desire" and then at the final whistle the team came in and a few of the boys put their hands up and apologised and were full of praise for each other. As fer Golobart - the pace is different - I was tired - we have a bit of lack of confidence. Gawd do we need a win.
  16. What was Mahonios' back garden like ?
  17. After reading this thread - as may others - I predict that Shane will start up front at Ayr !!!
  18. Feckin brilliant Laurence :rotflmao: Oh I do hope that it is the JailEnder  Wimbledon were one of the best pure footballing playing teams of the last century - a bit like a Barcelone of today - their system was just wholly based on total football. I suppose that the next team was MK Dons. If you aint TJE then I hope that your contribution to this forum has given you a confidence boost to fight against yer cancer. But if you are TJE or any other hoaxer then that wee statement is absolutely deplorable although it could also explain why you appear so contradictory, and pontificating circumstantially or perhaps it is the morphine. The CA crap should end this feckin thread - irrespective of whether it is genuine or not. DIAGNOSIS : Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder
  19. Cometh the hour ............... ??
  20. Is that because Shane changes the game or is it because we're chasing it by that point? It is becos - despite his inexpetience - that we have the one player who has feckin trained to be a more traditional centre forward - he may be raw and prone to mistakes - but he is frankly all that we have got at the moment.
  21. If only it was as simple as that - lets face it - we are in the worst position that we have been in fer a long time - we are frankly disorganised and struggling to find consistency - due to injury / suspension to a degree but we have to find a proper striker on loan - we have to decide on the main system to utilise - and we have to decide who the first X1 is. SIMPLES
  22. Fraid it will have to be a driving evening !!
  23. Oh Dear - was my brother in law quite accurate with his description ? And lack of fitness could not have been the issue as he has been in pre season with Wigun.
