We had a feckin great re-union but there was an unanimous decision made at the closure of the lock in that we would be doing a dis service to the good old days to turn up at a game against a once proud outfit who are simply 3rd class. It really is great to have hooked such a big sprat on what was clearly - to most - a fishing trip from the first cast.

I was referring to midweek away with ICT Pishofill. I am not surprised that a Hellgin ersehole would be palling with some bitter anti merger boys - The Howden End would have been well represented - and only be the best.

Many of the central belters and southerners simply wouldnt have bothered making the effort - so many reasons not to go and watch a once proud but now a truly "diddy" outfit. The olde rivalry is simply a piece of history but most of the Hellgin fans are brought up to be bittera and twisted about ICT - most of it borne of envy. I would have expected their support to attend en masse as this was their biggest day out probably since they got in to the SFL. I shure enjoyed the banter but that was about it - but can you imagine the craic if the tie was at Hellgin - I would have been up fer shure and a lot more to boot.
