  1. Is this true? Yip I heard that they went for them when IHE and Richard Gough declined.
  2. In my opinion and experience - it is becos we actually are a very welcoming bunch - I have met peeple from all over the feckin world at games - if I dont recognise a face I will chat to them and bring them in to the main crowd and introduce them. We really do make peeple feel at home and probably more likely to return.
  3. It must be rite cos - as a seer - I can prophecy that there is going to be a lot of snow about and the roads will be icy.
  4. It could well be time fer the ICT Pantomime and the Festive Fives ?!!
  5. This is seriously not a wind up but my boss who is a Stoke City Main Stand season ticket holder remains adamant that Stoke have first refusal and he has been told that Stoke would be only too happy for Rooney to stay for at least this season in order to develop - and a deal may well have been brokered already.
  6. So - whats my cut partner
  7. Personally I feel that this thread should compile of a mix of eating humble pie and recognition of a true, loyal professional. I fer one had real doubts about Rosscoe's capability of holding his own in the SPL. But he has clearly learned the trade of central defence quickly - with a little help from TB no doubt - and he has riened in the cavalier overlapping right back approach. The combination with Granty has also blossomed - Rosscoe being more of the man to man marking center half and Granty assuming a freer - almost "sweeper" type role alongside him - add in to the mix that Duff and Shinnie are not full backs to keep an eye on and we have a more relaxed, confident and structured back four - and again some credit to Terry and Mo. But I will lift a glass of voddie to Mr Tokely and munch on my piece of Humble pie - plus some added admiration for the fact that Rosscoe is usually the first to go to the fans at the end of a game, is clearly enjoying his football and celebrates as if he was one of us. RESPECT Bet he is the first of the bus for chips and a pint at Auchterarder as well.
  8. Messing with M&M's can seriously damage yer teeth.
  9. Probably cos ya forgot where ya was and went to the Corriegarth at half time.
  10. Life is a great and wondrous mystery, and the only thing we know that we have for sure is what is right here right now. Don't miss it. Follow Caley Away. -- Leo Buscaglia
  11. There is some good feedback this time and I aint even going to start on a Smileymometer cos everybody would get a feckin FIVE. A few weeks ago I was suggesting that we should rest Shinnie and Ross but - feck me - no way - they are where they are now on merit - I will give Shinnie MOM to boot. Duff is one of the best right backs in the business - Rosscoe and Granty (albeit suspect to pace) now undertand each other and Rosscoe has got to grips with the concepts of central defence. The engine room of Duncan and Cox is immense and the width and trickery provided by Hayes is as good as any Premier League outfit - Rooney is getting better and better every game and Foran adds that wee bit of experience. The game to me was a stalemate and Cellic really did not deserve the first goal although they were on top when they scored the second. I have to admit that when the first goal went in my thoughts went to Harm Reduction mode and that is why the draw was just that bit sweeter. If the cross had been met by Rooney or Foran we would have equalised sooner and if Rooney had squared the ball to Hayes instead of shooting it could have been 3-2. But to me the defining moments were in the dying moments when we got the ball in their corner flag area - and did we play for time - did we feck - we feckin went for it - I thought that the ref was class but I would love to see the Cellic offside goal as it looked on to me at the time. And the support just goes on and on - two faves from yesterda: "Wear your poppy and Wear it with pride" and "Oh Luxembourg is wonderful ... its got a ref and a linesman ..." And ma singing prowess is evidently gaining fame as the mannie playing the guitar in the London Tavern stopped my rendition of the Fields of Athenry and then two wummin stormed the stage as I sang "Father and Son" at the Lesbian disco and I had to sit down in safety.

  17. Bagsy be Mr Winnfield !! Anyway the trip to Parkdread ended up being Much Ado About Nothing and ended up As you like it, although I apppreciated the Comedy of Errors in the last quarter. The snow turned in to a smashing Winters Tale. Shame to see the Ginger Ned in a Tempest but reckon Tel Boy had the Taming of the Shrew all the time.

  20. In times of inclement weather, treacherous travelling conditions, referee strikes, games in doubt, taking on the old Filth away from home, suffering the sectarian bile and restricted views - there is only one thing to do :
  21. Never thought that this would create so much positivity but most of the posters recall the old days and the present and have followed Caley, Thistle and ICT. We had "calling cards" with a wall sprayed with "Youve been visited by the Howden End" but we usually left them on a bar table. Stormin Normin was a dab hand at design !! Anyway there were only nine originals as I said, two deceased but I have had replies from 5 of the living and now know how to get a message to the other two - looks like a night on the lash at the Fluke on the Friday night may well be a full house with at least four of us also heading to the game on the Saturday.
  22. Asher Cohen from Israel.
  23. Save it for Division 3
  24. You are all being a wee bit harsh on Dougal - he has a valid point.

FOUR so far Mantis - one is a season tkt holder in Section G , other two are up fer Elgin - plus one reply from Poole in Dorset from the only Englishman in the firm We are talking about the mid 70's here. YMIP - the joke is that we were just a bunch of mates who liked a good drink (etc.) and a laff - a scrap in those days was practically part of the day out.
