  1. We're (hopefully) on the march with Robbos' Army - but where to ? The one thing I like about the Wafer Cup is the draw !!
  2. What I am more happy about is that we don't have a clear starting X1 - and even happier that we have a number of alternatives that do not weaken the set-up.
  3. The staff at the Social Club do.
  4. Simples
  5. Well we have got Miles with his Magic Hat and now we have Jamie and his Magic Torch - ably befriended by a Coll-ie Dog.
  6. They would never have done that in the Howden End
  7. Negative - Nah. Guarded optimism - Yeah. Great result, good performance and something to build on.
  8. To detract slightly from the positivity - Morton were terrible when given goal scoring chances - several were scuffed, the penalty was atrocious and we had one kicked off the line. To be fair the first half was dire but Morton did park the bus.
  9. And the result at Tannadice now looks a lot, lot better ?
  10. Great through ball from Vincent - Morton go for a crazy offside and White megs the keeper. Did Ridgers move off the line ?? ?
  11. 2-0 and "comfortable" - MY erse - Subs and a third goal pronto PLEASE
  12. Well we have done what a lot of teams have done to us in past seasons. Up the pace early on and Keatings in the number 10 role. Hope Robbo puts on Storey and Todorov sooner than later and hooks White and Doran.
  13. ROONEY the MOM by far in the first 45 !!
  14. Yet another poor game on TV. Carson and Vincent BOTH playing as defensive central midfielders - Keatings back and for in front of them - Walsh and Doran wide (neither really tracking back) and White (at home) totally alone up front and only winning things when he comes deep. Keatings has had a couple of good strikes again BUT nearly all our crosses are lofted into the air - presumably to White. WTF. And as I finish typing Keatings gets some luck albeit a sharp, reactive finish.
  15. For the benefit of the players here are the names of the crowd.
  16. I hope that Dougal signs on soon as I know he has dealt with "roundabout problems" in the past.
  17. I scored 94 and got beat !!
  18. THREE North Stand tickets (together) - £20.00 each - Can exchange by post or on the day - Message me.
  19. What are you talking about again ?
  20. Well we are on the road to Bony Dungdee again and lets hope that this will be a more enjoyable and fruitful return journey. Surely we can't repeat the Dens performance of a few weeks ago and lets face it - Dundee did not look at all formidable and are clearly the lowly neighbours in the vicinity. I had hope of a point at Tannadice - I have expectations of at least a point 200 yards away. The return of Rooney was an unexpected boost even if it probably means that we will stick to 4 at the back with the line up inevitable. Lets just hope that Coll and Tremarco are determined to prove that their last showing at Dens was a season one -off. As for midfield and attack that is a real conundrum. As I alluded to prior to the Smokies I was afraid that a win would mean "same again" this week. Now I am not so sure and live in hope. To be fair to Robbo it may be that Todorov and Storey were not match fit for a 90 minute outing. Given what we have seen Todorov and Storey would be a nightmare pairing for Dungdee whereas the tall, immobile Dundee defenders would be smacking their lips at the prospect of White in the lone striker role. We also have to cut out the long ball as it has been proven wholly fallible against Dungdee. Lets use our width and hit the bye line more often and look at using the pace of Storey and the guile of Keatings. Despite mixed reports I am hopeful that Vincent will show more of a playmaker ability RIDGERS ROONEY COLL McCART TREMARCO CARSON VINCENT WALSH KEATINGS TODOROV STOREY
  21. Beat Morton and that increases the chances of a "plum" away tie - I suspect that all 8 of the non-Scottish outfits will progress.
  22. The draw will contain 32 Clubs – 2 clubs from Northern Ireland Football League (Ballymena United & Glenavon) – 2 clubs from Welsh Premier League (The New Saints & Connah’s Quay Nomads) – 2 clubs from League of Ireland Premier Division (Waterford & Bohemians) – 2 clubs from English National League (Solihull Moors & Wrexham) – 10 clubs from Ladbrokes Championship – 14 winners from Second Round The SPFL have announced that the draw for the Third Round of the 2019/20 Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup will be made on Wednesday 14 August at 12.30pm.
  23. Oh dear - Has Vincent taken over from Polly in more ways than one ?
