  1. How much time ? - when he gets used to Scottish football will he inherit a major injection of pace and movement ? Bayne is a better suited player to ICT - no doubt about that - anybody at Tannadice yesterday will tell you - take off the tinted glasses. And yer motto is spot on.
  2. I'm a positive sort of person, but even I couldn't hope that this dream will be realised. If only ...................... Thank you for that - I am trying to impress on the mods that I get as much stick and "abuse" back as I throw. Not that it bothers me - it is part of the craic - or is it ? Of course it is. We all love you really, and you're such a sensitive soul. :angel13:
  3. Black wears gloves all the time. I'd luck to see you call him soft. Calm down fer fecks sake - I really want Niculae to succeed but he is not progressing. My account of the game is what I saw. I think you may note - if you didnt concentrate so much on my comments - that a lot of peeple agreed with me. Black didnt wear gloves but if he did he would be an even softer *******. :blah01: :moon2:

  6. A few went awry but that has to be expected. His kicking today was to miss out the big boys at the back. I thought that his kicking game was excellent in general.
  7. Saw Niculae for first time yesterday. seemed more concerned about his gloves. bayne was infinitely better when he came on for the last ten and made a much bigger impact. - :clapping03: See my match report. i saw marius for the first time yesterday as well and tbh i thought he was garbage. a couple of nice touches in the first but not enough to warrant a starting place. bayne was infinitely better when he came on for the last ten and made a much bigger impact. He still has plenty of time to justify the fact that he's the club's record earner. :017: :017:
  8. I really couldnt give a feck about his wages - it is his performances that worry me - plus all the money that I spend to watch the games - I feel that he in particular is short changing me. For instance this weekend - I travel all the way to Sneck fer a funeral - driving through Friday - funeral on Sat AM - speed off to Dundee - drive home in appauling weather conditions - have all my posts blocked - for whatever reason. 1. I feel like chucking this site in. 2. If Rory McAllister had played today and put in the exact same display as Marius - he would have been absolutely slaughtered.
  9. We possibly alienated people by putting the words Caledonian Thistle at the end - but at the onset that was vital.
  10. We played 4-1-4-1 today as we regularly used to adopt away from home. IMHO that is how we should play most away games - playing to our strengths. Our only problem at the moment is that we really do not have a striker who can effectively play in that role at home - I would always plump fer Bayne away - with Wyness and Niculae (at the moment) in a 4-4-2 at home or Bayne and Wyness in a 4-1-3-1-1. :011:
  11. No - He is being played. :001:
  12. Marius was absolute gash today - Some pretty passes and one sooperb flick - but a 20 yard opening skied - a simply terrible free kick and then he tried to push the ball past a static Kenneth who caught up with him after 5 yards. How long do we have to perervere ? :018:
  13. Basically Black would not be the same player without the edge.
  14. :rotflmao: The Dundee "Mexican" feckin wave - not ole but "HANDBALL2 I went to day with a fair bit of trepidation but that was the ICT "away" of yore - 4-1-4-1 - total committment, trying to pass the ball, two wide players, Duncan in front of the defence - Black, Cowie and Rankin bursting a gut to get forward as much as possible. That first half was the best performance in a long, long time. The Arabs came out of the block after half time, they pressed - took over midfield - and we lost our shape fer 15-20 minutes - plus Niculae was hardly an outlet. But we stuck at it and could have pinched 2 or 3 more on the break. We survived approximately 347 handball appeals, rode our luck at times and Brines gave some shocking decisions either way but we just about deserved the spoils in the end. What a difference a week makes. FRASER :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Never really "tested" as such but his kicking and handling were first class today. The central defence looking solid probably helped as well. PROCTOR :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Rosscoe is going to struggle getting his place back. Enuff said. HASTINGS :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Defended well enuff but is a shade of the player he was. MCGUIRE :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Best that I have seen him. He and Granty were tight and together today. GRANTY :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Shades of the old Munro. Did well against Hee-Haw Wilkie who should have been red carded fer persisitent fouling. COWIE :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Just shaded MOM fer me. What a feckin engine. Looked like ripping them apart in the first half. Played wide to great effect. DUNCAN :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Possibly suffered by having to play second fiddle to Black and Rankin but did his usual sturdy "cleaning up" job. BLACK :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Ruled midfield in the first half - gutsy display in second. Meant the chip but goalie should have had it - but what the feck. RANKIN :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Almost pipped Cowie fer MOM - That was some display given his lack of matches. ROYSTER :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: A bit "invisible" again but had to play second fiddle a la Duncan. NICULAE :024: :024: INEFFECTUAL - If he is anything he isnt a lone striker. His lack of pace is so frustrating. Should have been hooked earlier. Fell over like Norman Wisdom and wore gloves - soft ******* - whats next - tights. :rotflmao: WILSON :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Really looked up fer it. Gave us that extar option on the left when he came on. BAYNE :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: May not have the skill and the finesse but showed in 10 minutes just how to play the lone striker role. When Bayne came on we had an outlet and we began to take the game to them again
  15. Sorry - as usual my initial response to the higher echelon and chief influencer of the moderators has been moderated. Still you keep on having a dig Mr Board Member from the safety of your Ivory Tower - and keep on stalking yer Internet hero. :001:
  16. You may actually have a point there - It has never happened before. Perhaps the Romanian Media have "sorted" it to get Marius in the highlights - unfortunately the only "highlights" that Marius will get will be from Chris Crook :003:
  17. The only highers you got at the Tech were from the Streets surrounding - and the "O" from behind the sheds. Fer fecks sake ya went there if ya failed yer 11 plus. :001:
  18. Brew: "I always win at Musical statues Tonalt - I will make you move soon enuff". And just look at the Body Language :018:
  19. First sentence is the usual naieve tosh then ya start talking sense - Parky has said that he wanted to go with CC (which time?) and that he agreed to stay on after some encouragement becos of the club. The family reasons may well have been the last straw - they are also the usual way to cover things up. How long have you had yer poster name ?

  21. At the end of the tunnel ?
  22. Posted 24th August 2007 Dear Mrs PB, I am writing this to you personally as you know that I would not bull****t ya. The following is my psychological formulation and the message from ma teacup. If Tonalt was privy to what has gone on behind the scenes and there is some issues with CC - he will not stay. I suspect that he is only carrying on fer the club and the players at present. I expect him to resign in the next week - It will be cited that the club desperately tried to convince him to stay but that he had to move on for personal reasons an/or he felt that he had to move on in the professional sense and allow the new manager scope to change things himself. Then the club can say that it was his decision and no pressure was applied. He was not included in the "plans" in April and I would put money on Duncan Shearer being appointed in Tonalts place. Lets just see if I am proved rite - YET AGAIN - No bad fer a havering, drunken old git!! Hope I am wrong tho.
  23. I think I may have inadvertently cushioned the blow to Mrs Paulie Bee when I told her the real story just before the Hibees game.
  24. BREWSTER - when you have skill and movement ya dont need pace.
