BREWSTER AND NICULAE

Eliza - we must have had twenty plus shots at goal and fecked the all up. -
And who called the goalie a feckin Banana ? :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

BREWSTER AND NICULAE
IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER replied to IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER's topic in Caley Thistle
I'll get feckin shouted at fer this MEE but it wasnt cos he wanted to pass it to Brew - he simply is also very left foot favoured. He had two clear chances on his right foot but pulled out. Brew got the pass becos of his movement not because MN was trying to suck up. Brew simply made Marius look second class. -
A feckin good start overall IMHO. Fraser shouted more today than I have ever noticed. The back four held their line together, allowing Caff to take the lead. Rosscoe was evidently restrained as was Granty. He looked much better covering the left and leaving Caff to it but McBain doesnt need much covering - unlike his predecessor. Duncan played in the "hole" and was restrained which is his best position. Black in front as a playmaker whcih is where he is at his best. But Bazza was his first mistake. He played too much to Bazza IMHO and missed out Cowie. I would target Cowie more but play Rankin out wide left. Brew probably had no option other than play Marius and himself today. I am shure that Brew learnt a lot and Marius has also learned that he is not a sure starter and has to play AND train fer his place. But fer the most our attack was Bazza, Brew and Marius - Experienced and wily perhaps but pacey and penetrating NOT. We are going to regret the lack of pace. Dargo would have had a field day with Brew today.

Donald Park - support for Saturday!!!!
IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER replied to Mrs Pauliebee's topic in Caley Thistle
Dear Mrs PB :crazy07: Today gave me hope that my formulation could be wrong but it will now be sorely tested. It could not go amiss that Brew dragged Parky out of the dugout for "advice" and then quickly hooked Niculae. That could be a statemnet of support and intent but what will the Board make of it ? BREWSTER AND NICULAE

But would you not agree that if we palyed one up front that Brew would be the fitter, the most mobile and the more creative ? -
Two less than me davie then. But we played some great stuff at times today but had no luck in front of goal - but we have no pace either. When Hibees attacked they did it with width and pace.

Brewster looked like the international today and Niculae like a 40 year old. His touch, movement and workrate was well in front. Niculae hasnt impressed me as yet and I thought today would be the day. Shurely he has got more about him. He was MINCE. And did anyone else notice a) how often Brew and Marius got in each others way b) Both made similiar movements but Brew always got there first c) how Marius misread two classic Brew flicks and a Bazza dummy and d) how the players markedly targetted their passes at Brew. Brew and Parky have a tete a tete on the sidelines and hey presto Marius is hooked and probably had been on the park 20 minutes longer than he should have. BOTTOM LINE - Brewster and Niculae CANNOT play together. The selection against Cellic will be very interesting. Will it be Brews decision or will it be taken out of his hands. Niculae actually looked shocked to be hooked. On footballing terms it simply has to be Brew - in political terms ??

I thought that it was referring to the initials in his surname ?

He played mainly against Highland League opposition.

FRASER :015: :015: :015: Did not really have that much to do which probably says a lot about the game. He has taken over from Brown in missing penalties - if he had stood still the ball would have feckin hit him. ROSSCOE :015: :015: :015: :015: Peeple keep on making negative remarks about Rosscoe but I think he is little different to previous seasons. He looks slow and clumsy at times but always recovers. Put in a solid shift but was obviously told about bombing forward too much. McBAIN :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: My MOM. We have unearthed a beauty. Solid at the back, has the pace required and, especially in the second half was motoring up and down the line but always had the strength and stamina to get back. Some great overlapping and crosses. CAFF :015: :015: :015: :015: I thought he was a tad unlucky to lose the penalty but you dont stick yer hands up in the box. I thought that he would fall apart but he showed touches of the old Caff at times - poss as much to do with Brews tactics. Then typically he does his back in. MUNRO :015: :015: :015: Possibly not 100% fit or told to stick to the left and hold his line. No ghungho throw ins till the last 20. Almost made a huge mistake late on and was lucky to escape. COWIE :015: :015: :015: :015: Another good shift but starved of the ball in the first half as everything was going down the left. He has the same motor as McBain but came up against a very good full back in Murphy. Looks much beter in the central position BLACK :015: :015: :015: Played in a more advanced position today and was clearly given the role of playmaker. Unfortunately he made as many bad passes as he did good ones. Not his best day at the office. DUNCAN :015: :015: :015: Put firmly in the defensive cover role today. When he broke up attacks and moved forward in the second half he looked good until he tried to pass it. :029: BAZZA :015: :015: :015: Brew evidently turned back the years and decided to play Barry wide left hugging the touchline and clearly told peeple to hit his feet as much as possible. Bazza did well enuff but he doesnt have the pace no more and their black right back was very pacey. Basically Bazza should have been hooked at least 20 minutes before he was. He was clearly knackered and even started to try and showboat - unsuccessfully. :029: BREWSTER :015: :015: :015: :015: What a feckin difference. A real target man. Good movement and some deft touches. But doesnt have the pace and must have been frustrated by the lack of awareness around him. NICULAE :023: Will deal with him elsewhere. Suffice to say that I am still waiting to see what he is really made of. He may have advanced ball control and a deft touch but he is slow and cumbersome, he has no pace, he is lazy, he rarely makes forward movement and he is generally too lackadaisical for my liking. Whoever decided or allowed him to take the pen ?? Should have been hooked just after half time - before his Juanjo dive !! McGUIRE :015: :015: :015: Too early to say and wasnt really tested. WYNESS :015: :015: :015: Should have been on 20 minutes earlier - had the pace to worry them. RANKIN :015: :015: As per Wyness comment. We must have had enuff chances to win three games today. The number of shots that we had that wer skied or miscued, especially in the second half, must have been a score at least.

Cant judge him fer a few weeks but it will be interesting to see the team and the system today and how the players respond - and the fans. Yer roving reporter will provide yas all with a full psychological report this evening. :001: :001: Tokes to captain ? - Bungle to play ? - Watt to start ? - McBain at left back ? - Midfield set up ? - Brew to start ? - Niculae to shine ? - Elmer Fudd to score again at Easter Road off the bench ? BREW ARMY. :024:
-
To get back on track - It is not Brewster who should be getting the flak. The Board who have served us welll since inception but they have made a series of big feckin MISTAKES and we have to face it that we are really up against it.
-
Brewster has done well !! He has picked players out of the bargain feckin bucket that the other clubs were happy to get rid off !! Now perhaps if he had been given the job earlier - but I suppose that isnt anybodys fault. :008:
-
Does it not say something that players such as Brown, Bullen, Bamba, Wilson, Cuthbert etc. all decide to stay put. Perhaps they can all see where ICT are going ?

We need a feckin proctorologist. Here is wee Davie following the advice of his last manager, Craig Levein.

I have delved into the future and brought forward in time this encaptulation of a scene to be played out in a Leith bar on Saturday night. Caff has left the building and the rest of the team play for his wages. You can clearly see from left to right - Watt (relaxed on loan), Marius (cool dude with all the bucks), Parky (watching his back and showing his cards at last), Grasser (needs to know everything thats going on), Fraser (the cat keeping a tight hold in case he drops them), iloveeidurgudjohnnsen (sneaky erse sniffing *******, keeping Savage informed and protected) and Savage(the wily fox watches his investment with all the aces below the table.). Feck me _ I hope the press dont get a hold of this. :crazy07:
-
Thats another management ploy though - getting ya so pissed off that ya give in and forget. Who the feck could forget iloveeidurtawt.

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: The winner of this one is going to be feckin close.

The tea cup says Buckie - unless they lose Duncan Shearer to a local team. :001: By the way - FECKIN STEWARDS :rotflmao: Early in 1919 an incident on the links was to have an impact that was to galvanise the town behind the idea of a local team in the Highland League. Please read on. March 4,1919 FOOTBALL ON THE LINKS. (To the Editor of the Nairnshire Telegraph). Sir,- a few demobilised Nairn loons were playing football on the links last Saturday. While the game was in full swing, a policeman was sent down from the town to stop us. How is it, while the war was on and all the local boys away fighting, that Canadians were allowed to play football and base ball on the links? Is it fair, after them destroying the cricket pitch, that we boys who have done our bit should be debarred from having a game? Had the pitch been in order, we would never have thought of playing on it, but as it is, we think we are quite justified in bringing this to the notice of the public - Yours, etc., A DEMOBILISED SOLDIER
