  1. If he doesn't want to be a full-time 100% committed manager of Caley Thistle then Butcher should be told to take a running jump. If this turns out to be the end game then Grassa and the board have messed it up again. Wouldn't surprise me one bit given their track record.
  2. Aye, you are right there. I think he'll prove to be the best keeper we've had at The Dump.

It would be great if we could hang on to Don but I fear he'll be off soon. I agree his form hasn't been great lately but yesterday he put in a good shift.
  4. I think he did. It's not an issue where Dougie Imrie is concerned I would say. Who cares if he kisses the ICT badge ? As long as he keeps scoring goals for us that's all that matters.
  5. Aye, I now think it'll be Knox but who will be his assistant ? That will be interesting.
  6. Both our goals this afternoon were excellent and well taken. Gives one hope for the future. The BBC Alba coverage was pretty good but perhaps the odd subtitle might be helpful, i.e. to explain controversial points like Roy's red card. I was listening to Sportsound on BBC Radio Scotland coming home and they had a report on the game but no after-match interviews which they usually do.
  7. Totally enthused by our players and their effort and commitment today. If we can produce this kind of performance every week from now on in then there's no way we'll go down. Aye, it's going to be a fight but these boys are fighters (as I said earlier in the week on another thread).
  8. The more I think about it Archie Knox would be a pretty excellent choice as our new manager. No SPL baggage, good coaching experience and plently of contacts in football to take on new players or arrange loan deals.
  9. If there was that much of a bust up after the Hamilton match how come North Tonight tonight was pushing the line that the players want a good result tomorrow for Brew ?
  10. It has to be a gimmick or perhaps a smokescreen. I think the press are being led up the garden path on this one.
  11. I'm pretty sure we can get past Killie - we usually do quite well against them.
  12. I'm hoping to see a very attack-minded team run out @ 3:00 pm on Saturday with an emphasis on youth and looking to the future of our team - Rooney, Wood, Vigurs, Duff, Morais on from the start. Let's see what the future of Caley Thistle can do.
  13. Just a very slight suspicion !
  14. Well, you won't be disappointed in it I can assure you of that - really outstanding musicianship.
  15. I'm a big Jeff Beck fan too. His latest album, Jeff Beck performing this week.....live at Ronnie Scott's, is pure class and features highly talented female bassist Tal Wilkenfeld.
  16. Hope the same doesn't come to pass for other Scottish teams but I fear it will in the present financial climate.
  17. Aye, my favourite English team were just so unlucky tonight. Owen Coyle is doing a great job at Turf Moor. It would be great for him and the team if they could go up into the Premiership. I've said it before on this forum that Burnley are a sleeping giant. Great supporters too.
  18. I rather think not ! :thumb04: :018: ;) :015: :D
  19. Aye, an unfortunately named shop but it was very popular and busy with the fashion and style concious Sneck lady. I think Crawfords had a bakery shop on the same site but could be wrong. There was Maclarens the newsagents on the corner and Morrison the tobacconist further up.
  20. Are the people allegedly "running" our club interested in making a good managerial appointment or more interested in making publicity (good or bad) ?
  21. High risk option this and no mistake. We need someone with good contacts, not just in Scottish but British football. The hacks are having a field day just now putting forward just any name that comes into their heads.
  22. To put it mildly the board don't seem to be a very professional set up at all. Time for a change and some new blood.
  23. Aye, John MacLaughlin is an awesome guitarist. That whole band was full of brilliant musicians.
  24. Cringe!!!!!!!! It was DREADFUL. Hosted by an old guy called John Mearns who was something of an Alf Garnett lookalike, it was basically a bunch of folk with Robbie Shepherd accents and dressed up in farming gear singing songs round the fire. Strewth - sounds like Aberdeen's travelling support.... Or a number of my neighbours here in rural Aberdeenshire ! Aye mahloon... aye, aye... 'at's a rare tup ye've got there... aye an' a grand pair o' green wellies ye've got her back legs doon! Noo whar's ma wireless so ah kin get The Reel Blend wi Roabbie Sheppaaard..... Aye, ye ken it was like Duelling Banjos years before Deliverance like !
  25. Aye, there's a world of difference between the teams playing Montrose and those we play every week.
