  1. Aye, Lionel did little wrong this afternoon. When he gets it right he's an excellent passer of the ball. He tries so hard for the team and really puts in a good shift.
  2. Wasn't there some kind of major bust up on the training ground between TB and Essson ? Anybody have more details ? Just back home from Kilmarnock and we mustn't be so defeatist here - our boys fought and fought this afternoon but were just so unlucky not to score three in the first half and with Killie's goal. It's an old cliche but that's football.
  3. We definitely need a win at the pie shop. I would be very wary of them after the midweek victory over the Midden though.
  4. Moira Anderson and Kenneth McKellar - now, that's what I call music. Please, no more bagpipes - this is the 21st century. Let's rock !
  5. It would be quite something if we could get Mark Brown back. He must be getting a bit cheesed off playing nothing but reserve football with Celtic.
  6. Obviously more suited to be a follower rather than a leader. Well, we should know that.
  7. Not at all surprised to hear that one.
  8. I've tried to give Lionel the benefit of the doubt but this afternoon's display was simply woeful. That late Ofiong chance was a direct result of a sloppy pass by Lionel giving the ball away. If Terry and June continue with him the way he's playing just now he could well cost us our place in the SPL. Change required and fast.
  9. Well done to one of the sleeping giants of English football, Burnley, for reaching the Championship play-offs this afternoon. Well done to their manager Owen Coyle too - he's had a great season at Turf Moor. :018: ;) :thumb04:
  10. No, I don't see Dougie as a hardman either. We need a Kenny Burns, Tommy Smith or Norman Hunter type to scare the daylights out of opposing forwards. Perhaps I'm in a 1970s timewarp here though.

Oh dear - we don't need any handbags out at this vital point in our season.
  12. Fantastic result for the Caley Boys. Well done boys - you've done us proud this afternoon.
  13. Totally unacceptable behaviour by anybody. He should be thoroughly ashamed of himself, but shame is something in very short supply in Britain today.
  14. One of the many players ICT let slip through their fingers. Better not started on that old chestnut though.
  15. It's not rocket science to make a decent programme surely. All it needs is a bit of imagination. I'd agree with the previous suggestions put forward, in particular it needs to go back to the old size. The current size makes the programme look as if it's been the victim of a cost-cutting exercise (which it probably is). How about a 10, 25 and 50 year ago feature on what was happening in north football back then, much like the weekly From Our Files feature in The Courier. We've plenty in the Caley and Thistle history to look back at but there must be plenty of other material in the Courier, Highland News, Football Times, Northern Chronicle and Highland Herald to dig out.
  16. Live From Nowehere In Particular by Joe Bonamassa. Saw him live at The Sage in Gateshead last night - absolutely stunning performance.
  17. Without doubt the best pies in the SPL are at Rugby Park.
  18. If the terrible twins took off to the Premiership could anyone really see a city the size of Glasgow without an SPL team. Wouldn't it be quite something for Scottish football if Glasgow could produce a brand new team without any of the dreadful baggage that Celtic and Rangers bring to the table. Just a thought.
  19. I go to more away than home games these days and have to say the singing/chanting/shouting among the Caley Thistle fans at the away games is streets better than at The Dump. I've never really understood why this should be the case. :thumb04: :018: ;)
  20. Aye, an amazing game right enuff. Didn't think there would be another 4-4 draw involving Liverpool this season. Just goes to show how wrong you can be.
  21. I have to say that I am a bit nervous about our SPL future but on the other hand I am sure that the Butcher Boys have it in them to fight their way out of this somewhat precarious position we (and indeed they) find our team in.
  22. Bring back Tony Blackburn and Dave Lee Travis to Radio 1 I say !
