  1. The Courier says that we have funds for 3 players and the 2 named are Pressley & Byrne

Read in the paper today that Motherwell are now in the race to sign Cowie. Other clubs named were Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Rangers, Leeds & Preston
  3. Black was treading water in the second half and was obviously not 100% fit. I guess he was told to last as long as he could today. Disappointing but lets face it entirely predictable result. Things might have been different if we'd taken one of the first half chances. Sadly the game was over as soon as Rangers scored. I think everyone got right behind the team today despite the current circumstances and I only heard a few muted cries for Brewster to go at the end. Of course the fact we were playing one of the OF in a live televised match kind of makes this game irrelevant in terms of his managerial ability! Another worrying statistic is that our goal difference advantage over Hamilton has evaporated over the last few weeks I'm sure you were 10+ goals better off than them a few weeks ago It will be interesting to see how the team perform next week, for example, as I doubt they will be as 'up' for that game.
  4. I read that Mark Burchill is looking for a move back to Scotland with Livingston being interested in him. He's still only 28 despite seeming to have been around forever. Worth a gamble I wonder??
  5. Just watched the hi-lights on the BBC - dismal stuff Proctor had a mare TRYING to mark Porter
  6. Depressingly this is all the guff he used to come out with (and I for one use to laugh at) whilst he was steering United down the toilet
  7. Worse than the St Mirren performance! Dear God! You'd better have a few nippie sweeties tonight. How many away supporters were there?
  8. Don't blame you. I can barley stomach the 8 mile /20 minute round trip!! I'm definitely not going to the Scottish Cup game
  9. There have been 4 or 5 anti-Brew e-mails read out now.
  10. How long is this going to be allowed to go on? I assume losing to Partick in the cup is what it's going to take to finally get this man sacked
  11. Did they 'forget' to swith on the undersoil heating again?

Merry Christmas. You know you are getting old when you get excited about receiving a dressing gown! Here's hoping 2009 is a fantastic year for ICT
  13. A central midfield pairing of McBain & Duncan would struggle in the 1st divison - I fear we are screwed
  14. That's the point most folk seemed to have missed. We ALREADY knew funds were going to be made available. There were stories in the papers after the St Mirren debarcle
  15. Sorry I don't agree. Robbo wins the sentimental vote because he got us promoted. Since he left us he has accomplished nothing at a succession of clubs. Anyway Sutherland said in none to subtle a way that he had burned his bridges
  16. Robertson is NOT the answer! We desperately need fresh blood, some new ideas, a clean sweep and no favoritism!
  17. Don't blame the monkey, blame the organ grinder. Malky is just Brewsters 'yes' man
  18. Elgin have won more home games in 2008 than us
  19. What can you say? I'm not surprised we lost especially when I heard the team!! We seem to change players, formations and tactics on a weekly basis these days all with the same predictable result. Still there were 2 hi-lights that made me chuckle on a bleak day. McBain trying to do a stepover and tackling himself and the North stand screaming for Rooney to come on and our glorious leader devoid of ideas duly obliging. It says a lot when the crowd are picking the subs! He won't resign so he'll have to get the heave ho
  20. Wyness was excellent for St Mirren last Saturday and was unrecognisible from the player we had last season. Obviously he is a player who needs to feel wanted and he has found a manger who can bring the best out of him.

I fear you may well be right
  22. Not sure as him leaving was mentioned in the next paragraph LINK
  23. Worrying line in the P&J article today Players will have to leave Caley Thistle in order for new recruits to come in and, in addition to Barry Wilson, at least one other first-team squad member will leave Caledonian Stadium.

I seriously doubt Brewster will resign and I very much doubt the board will sack him anytime in the immediate future. He'll be allowed to stumble on into January (and beyond!) with the hope that Santa brings him a bumper book of 'dead good' football tactics and/or that he'll somehow manage to make several miraculous signings during the transfer window whilst not losing anyone from the current squad! ICT fans will just have to hope that one or indeed both of these scenarios happen otherwise we may well end up in Division 1 next season
  25. My first away game in a dogs age and I was looking forward to seeing the infamous 'great' away form. What was on display, however, was the usual substandard p**h we get subjected to at home except we were even probably even worse yesterday. I was surprised to see us line up 4-4-2 considering the success 4-5-1 had brought but you just had to look how lightweight the bench was to realise how threadbare our squad is now Barry is on the way out. Nor had I expected McGuire to be in the starting line up either and I remember worrying that he may have been rushed back to soon just like Proctor at Ibrox. Still it looked OK on paper and everyone for once was playing on the correct side of the park so as it was 'only' St Mirren I had hoped we might sneak an away win. Then the ref started the game and it was pretty much downhill from there on in The writing was on the wall as soon as the first goal went in. Heads dropped and most of the players lost what little confidence they had. From then on the main objective seemed to be to get rid of the ball as quickly as possible with a worryingly frequent trend of passing it to a St Mirren player. I swear some of the lads must have been closing there eyes and just swinging there leg at the ball as it was going here, there and everywhere. Munro in particular must have the worst distribution of any of our players! Then we conceded the second after about 40 seconds of the restart and any, albeit vague hopes of maybe, just maybe getting a draw were extinguished! Esson played well and probably saved us from the bigger humping we merited. Hastings & Proctor were OK-ish. Munro & McGuire were shaky and pretty much the whole midfield didn't bother turning up. Barrowman needs service but as we don't have anyone to provide it there is no point playing him. Rooney at least puts a power of work in and things might have been different if he'd knocked the Hastings cross in during the first half. Even if we were able to have used all 7 substitutes I doubt the result would have been any different. St Mirren aren't a good team but they didn't have to be. They deserved there victory and it was just far too easy. Some of our players were on the train north this evening. Looks like they had a good time out in Glasgow last night they were certainly very 'spirited' on the train. I shudder to think what Aberdeen will do to us on Saturday
