That's like MOTD edited highlights IHE :016: The guy has talent, no question. He isn't match fit as he's played a handful of games in 2007. People seem to be giving him a hard time because he isn't lightning quick. Was he meant to be?? He is easily our most technically gifted player unfortunately in the hurly burly of the SPl that may not count for much

There were some lovely touches and link up play from Marius and he perhaps should have scored in the first half but I was reasonably impressed with him. He has zero pace, I'm not sure if ever had though, he does have a quick brain and good technique though. There was a lovely moment when he just ghosted past a United player like he wasn't there. He's not match fit. There were a couple of dives. There was some gesticulating and shaking of his head when other players made mistakes. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though as they were pretty rank errors. Saying that he did blaze a free kick well over the bar himself. I have high hopes for him. Don't think Bayne is the right partner for him up front. Dargo would have been ideal :014: Today's boots were black :004:

Can anyone explain to me the events of the last few days as the more I think about it the more confused I get :024: IHE told us Brewster was a cert for the job indeed that the deal had been agreed in principal months previously. It certainly appears that Brewster was the person ever likely to actually get the gig. So why waste time in reaching a decision that had already been made? If the powers that be truly think that Brewtser is the best man for the job why didn?t they come out and say it from the start? Why have a meeting with the fans to gauge there thoughts when a decision had already been made? Why go through the pretence of drawing up a shortlist and ?interviewing? candidates if you have your man already? Did Warnock expressing an interest actually throw a spanner in the works?? Just listened to the 12 O'clock MFR news. There story is carefully worded. They believe Brewster will be named as manager on Monday according to a 'source'. They then go on to say his first game in charge will be against Arbroath. It's not official but the writings on the wall

I think so and righjtly too. Donald has shown himself to be a true pro, working amongst some amateurs at times. I am sure he an CB will perform brilliantly thegither. How many people left with Brew? 4, was it? It will be him and his kit bag coming back. It is no small thing for him to return. It also shows a fair amount of guts. As we have sen from this site, there are many people wanting him to fail, for some reason. I am sure he is aware of this. No one wants him to fail we are scared he will fail

Agreed, its the team first..thats who we all support, the board made the decision which i'm sure will be the right one. As for Warnock, probably too pricey and too much of a loose cannon. He could well have been our price league unfortunately we are never really going to know are we. The board took a bold risk with the signing of the highest profile player in our history a few weeks ago and now this. Seems like 1 step forward - 2 steps back :029:

Aberdeen have given Caley Thistle permission to speak to Craig Brewster, but the former Inverness player-manager will not be in the dugout at Caledonian Stadium tomorrow. Brewster, former Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock and St Johnstone manager Owen Coyle are the candidates in the running to succeed Charlie Christie, who resigned on Sunday. Brewster's willingness to relocate gives him a clear advantage on his rivals, but Dons manager Jimmy Calderwood has told the 40-year-old forward he will be involved at Easter Road against Hibernian tomorrow even if he secures a return to the Highlanders following his meeting today. Caley Thistle director of football Graeme Bennett admitted yesterday the chances of having a replacement on board before tomorrow's visit of Dundee United are slim. Bennett said: "The speculation about the prospective appointment is not far away and I do not think there will be any surprises this time. It is becoming more unlikely we will get someone in place before Saturday. If we do appoint a manger tomorrow I don't think he'd be in the dugout on Saturday at all. Park will have worked with the players all week and will have worked out who's playing and what tactics to adopt. The new guy would be unlikely to have any input whatsoever

What really puzzles me is the fact there are so many supporters who favour Brewster. I understand the reasoning of folk who don't want him back because of the 'loyalty' issue but the real concern for me is purely the footballing side. As mentioned elsewhere there seems to be a real better-the-devil-you-know mentality being shown by some fans. If Brewster hadn't been our manager before and was being judged purely on his DUFC record how could anyone possibly take him seriously. Time and again I hear how fit he got the team. Are we really that unfit now? Fair enough if the team they can run all day but without tactics and a gameplan to back that up it doesn't really matter Other arguments I've heard coming from the Pro-Brewster camp are 1.) How organised we were! Fair enough we were but it was dull as **** to watch. Trying to beat teams on the counter attack at home produced truly rubbish football to watch. It was a great idea away from home and worked well but it seemed to be our ONLY tactic 2. He's more experienced now!! Aye at losing :023: 3.) He wouldn't be so quick to leave us again. This is the one that truly stumps me. The nature of football is that the better you do the higher up the food chain you go whether that be as a player or manager. If you are doing well you attract attention from bigger fish that's always been the way of it and always will. If he's doing well there is no way that Brewster would turn down a move to say Celtic or Rangers is they came knocking 18 months down the line
