Just noticed we have 3 games in 5 days over the festive season and then the weekend after New Year there aren't any games at all :017: You would think the fixture list could be a little less congested at a time of year when everyone is generally skint after Xmas, etc I realise you do tend to get bigger attendances (for most games) but it seems a bit of a big ask for the players

Assuming Hearts continue playing the same formation they have been doing in last few weeks with 3 BIG centre backs I can't see our policy of lumping it up to Bayne bringing much success at the weekend

I think everyone acknowledges November was going to be a very tough set of fixtures but fielding an unchanged team has brought us little success. Personally I would like at least a couple of changes for the Hearts game. Bayne no matter how hard he tries isn't a prolific striker and his winner against Rangers shouldn't grant him any sort of immunity. Denzil must start!! McBain offers nothing full stop and needs to be dropped. I think we should bring Black back in and move Rankin out to the left - I don't think this is his best position but he would offer more than Roy can

Don't rate Hart myself but I'd prefer him in the team/squad over McBain :006:

Maybe it's time the SPL looked at the Under-21 rule. It seemed to be a good idea at the time but I wonder now if its hindering the progress of some players. Having to have 3 (?) youngsters on the bench means other squad members lose out and chances are the kids aren't given a game anyway. Loaning them out to lower divisin clubs surely would be more benefical to them and the clubs concernd rather than warming the bench The current finanical climate in Scottish football means that youth development is the best/only option for many clubs to bring in new players rather than vis the transfer market anyway.
