Is Black not already one booking away from a suspension?? He's had 4 yellow cards already (I think?) Does 5 not mean a 1 match ban? Not sure about your Ritchie Hart comment though Mantis. Hart has only made one sub appearance this season for 10 minutes against Celtic and all he did was get booked
  2. Well there was nearly 1100 for the Dunbarton game so you'd hope a few more folk might turn up. Maybe :006: Are Falkirk putting on free buses like they did for the trip to Ross County last season??
  3. Isn't it a bit naive to assume that Mark Brown hasn't been watched by Walter Smith or at least by members of his backroom staff already :006:

I'm not sure there will be many changes for Tuesday. Assuming we won't to progress we'll have to show Falkirk some respect and play our strongest team
  5. The stats don't lie since start of last season the results are as follows... Home = Won 5 Drawn 8 Lost 8 Away = Won 11 Drawn 8 Lost 4

This may be a first but I have to agree that Tokely did not bad under the circumstances. He didn't get much help from our 'wing wizard' defensively
  7. :015: TM4J you truly are the ying to my yang :004: Surely if Black had kept his cool he wouldn't have been given a petulant booking? :016: Perhaps your idea of dropping Rankin may work especially if he play Morgan, Hart and Duncan in his place - just hope the ref doesn't notice!!

So if we bring back Duncan which of our 2 creative midfielders should we sacrifice?? I do agree that we seem to be punting the ball far too much but that comes from having no width. Ideally we need someone who can put there foot on the ball, look up and show some composure but maybe those days are gone with the speed the game is played at now

Were you at the game today Pele?? Not having a go just a question?? Bayne didn't have a good game. Rankin wasn't great but he was better than Black yet no one ever dares to say he should be dropped
  10. I saw more from Rankin today than I did from our supposed superstar Black. He hasn't set the heather on fire this season yet some folk give him a standing ovation when he gets subbed :017: He's already one booking away from a suspension
  11. Can't agree. I think if the team play well they get loads of vocal support but these days they rarely play well at home. Should we cheer and clap when we are presented with mediocre performances?? People are starting to vote with there feet and are not bothering to turn up. Would the players like to play in an empty stadium more?? Anyone at the game today who was undecided about going to the Falkirk game on Tuesday won't bother

I doubt many if any of us would have but then again we aren't professional athletes who should be more than able to run around for 90+ on a warmish day in September

Black got booked for dissent - again :006:
  14. Perhaps today's poor attendance is a reflection on our current Home form :006: I'm a glutton for punishment and go to every home game but I can see how some folk would grudge forking out there hard earned cash for entertainment like that

We were lucky not to lose today :008: If that's the team supposedly 'fired up' for the return of Brewster then I hate to see us unmotivated. We probably did shade the first half but United tore us apart in the second with 2 wingers. Brown made a fantastic save near the end to keep us in the match. Most of the team played badly today, not just Rankin and Black - who of course got his usual stupid yellow card might I add. We seemed devoid of ideas other than to punt it up Bayne and Dargo just had one of those games where if he'd tried to kick himself he'd have missed. Wilson was hopeless today and should have been taken off much sooner. Trouble was we had no one on the bench to slot into his position so when Keogh came on we had to put Rankin out on the right!!! I realise this is a very negative post but I'm struggling to find much to take from today's showing. United aren't a great team but we simply weren't good enough to beat them Really poor attendance as well - just over 3500 :007:
  16. You truly are a comedy genius :003:
  17. Craig Gordon is Scotlands No 1 by a contry mile so unless he is injured it makes no real odds who is No 2 or no3 really. I think Alexander at Cardiff is the the offical No 2 and the rest is really irrelevant
  18. Roy is 31, Dods is 31 but Barry ain't 36 he's 34!! :015:
  19. Maybe he just can't get a game in the reserves either
  20. England 4th & ranked above the World Champions :017: I'd take those rankings with a pinch of salt
  21. Well if he isn't injured perhaps his ICT are numbered? I see Fox can't get into the Livingston starting line-up either. Only apperances have been as a sub
  22. Mark Brown has great reactions and is a fantastic shot stopper. He is however poor on crosses and his kicking from pass backs is worrying. I think its fair to say that Craig Gordon is by far and the way the best Scottish keeper there is
  23. Your optimism is to be priased Harry BUT...... If we couldn't beat the 'currently' worst team in the league then we should be very worried. I think this season may well be more of a struggle than many expected. There was a poll at the start of the season where the vast majority of the fans voted as to what they expected from the team this year. I may be wrong but I'm sure a high percentage expected us to finish in the top 6 and be pushing for a place in Europe!! That won't happen. SPL survival is a must.
  24. GREAT result - well done the lads :003: Chick Young's commentary (if you can call it that) was DIRE :008:
  25. Rubbish. We need to win tomorrow. End of story. Our manager has identified September as the month where we have to start getting points on the board. Motherwell aren't the force the used to be and if we don't get 3 points from them where are they going to come from?? Wake up!!!!!
