This really does highlight the stark difference in cash flowing around the leagues north and south of the border. If Aberdeen are losing out to lower league English clubs there seems little in the way of hope for the rest of us building half decent squads. Something for us to bear in mind next time anyone wants to have a dig at ICT for an apparent inability to secure top class proven ability...

Play-off place should be within our grasp and we should feel disappointed if we don't get that far. 9 points from the opening 3 games looks achievable and then let's see where a good start takes us. Not too bothered about any of the cups next season although I do think our Irn-Bru run did help the lads out of the doldrums last year. A cup run can put extra pressure on limited resources but it does wonders for confidence and momentum.

That final quarter run in just sums up what a difficult and competitive league this will be next season - away games at QotS, Partick, Ayr, Morton and Alloa with home games against County, Falkirk, the Arabs and Pars - if we are in a position to clinch the title on the last day of the season we will have done very well indeed! Sat 9th March: Queen of the South (A) Sat 16th March: Ross County (H) Sat 23rd March: Partick Th (A) Sat 30th March: Falkirk (H) Sat 6th April: Ayr (A) Sat 13th April: Morton (A) Sat 20th April: Dundee Utd (H) Sat 27th April: Alloa (A) Sat 4th May: Dunfermline (H)

Seems to be a good positive step, fresh energy and much needed sound business acumen in the boardroom - I wish you all the very best in your new role Yvonne.

Who would you like to see at ICT next season?
CaleyCanary replied to Alan Simpson's topic in Caley Thistle
I'd like to see Me! I miss getting up to the games these days and the more extra pennies the club can get the better - ah well, dream on... -

A whopping 12 match unbeaten run to end the season, what a cracking achievement for any team let alone from the position we found ourselves in after such a dreadful start to the season! Huge thanks and respect to the whole squad for the work and effort that must have gone into that. The thanks and respect are echoed for Robbo and the coaching staff for turning our season around. Tremendous performance from everyone that has lifted the spirits of us all.

Mission Impossible is not over yet but it's far more likely that we'll get wins at Livi and Morton than Brechin will at East End Park. It was a huge ask to get the sixth in a row today against an in-form Pars side who had as much at stake as we did. Gutted but immensely proud of the guys that they have got so close to pulling it off - take a bow chaps, you deserve it

Some achievement for any team in this league! I just checked to make sure but so far we are the ONLY team in the Championship to win 5 consecutive league matches this season. St Midden and the Pars have both had 4 consecutive wins (they also both have 5 but they included diddy cup wins against lower league and non-league sides) - Dunfermline are currently on their 4 match unbeaten run so the next one couldn't be much tougher. Livi, the Arabs, Morton and QotS have had 3 match winning streaks but none of the others have anything as fine as this classy CaleyJags run. We've gone 9 unbeaten on the trot since the 1-0 defeat at East End Park with only away draws at the Midden and Tannadice spoiling the 100% record, and picked up a trophy on the way. That really shows how this season has been turned around - impressive by any standards!

Doesn't look like we're all standing on the goal line - BBC text feed shows us as having 4 corners in last few minutes, they're pressing for the 2 goal cushion...
