  1. the seltic game can't come quick enough, i feel three points a coming.
  2. all sounds very promising, hopefully a new manager can shore things up at the back, sign a goalscorer and we'll be alright. i am growing closer to changing my name to pavelsisvictorious every game i see the man in action, he seems a quality signing.
  3. not quite so sure as everyone else about Knox, from what some people tell me he is quite a volatile person; but maybe that could work in our favour as some of the caley boys clearly needs kick up the proverbial a@se. perhaps knox is the slightly less risky option to ossy, and both would have the same effect. bigger crowds, coverage and respect for the manager's playing career.
  4. malpas isn't a contender, give the board some credit. i think robbo is not going to get it, hallelujah, so that leads to Knox. It seems likely he'll get it, but i don't know how he'll do as a manager; although you can't get a better apprenticeship than under feguson.
  5. the best minute of my life: listened to dougie scoring a beauty in the last minute to salvage a point, and then hearing my comments read out on that 'final score' programme. then the worst, kingston scoring in the last second destroying any hopes of any points and crushing the team once again. a point against hearts when down to ten men would undoubtedly have changed the season around completely with a new manager added to the mix as well. at least this gives some hope, only a good team can go away to hearts and push them all the way.
  6. i seriously doubt its a media stunt. why would he? his name is enough for any club down south to sit up and take notice, why would he pick a small club fighting relegation in the spl? if he is such a failure as manager, then that presumably means he can't get a job down south as a result. then surely this is no stunt and he is actually interested? i know many think of him as a risk, and it is, but so is robbo. it doesn't take long to learn a couple of facts from a sheet and have a look at the squad, then presumably ossy would then 'know the club' and 'have their best interests at heart' we all know robbo has his best interests at hearts.
  7. Surely a name such as ossie ardiles would not need to produce such a cheap stunt to get himself noticed? i think he actually wants the job, he obviously believes in football and the right way to play it. i don't seem to remember hard work and team work helping us so far, if we are going down then i'd like it to be a fight, and ossie is the man for that. added to that robbo doesn't appeal to me at all, people have very selective memories. butcher would be decent, but ossie would be the best pick of the bunch.
  8. sh@te. ardiles would be fantastic for the club. i personally would love to see him try to bring his footballing philosophy up here, who are the players going to listen to between him and robbo? one has won the world cup and manager two of the ibggest names in english football, the other managed us, left us in limbo before slagging us off and now needs a bit of easy money so all of a sudden he is interested. there are no negatives from the appointment of ardiles. i'll be gutted if they appoint anyone along the lines of robbo, it just shows gutless non-ambition, and penny-pinching at a time when we need to push the boat out or we'll be sailing down sh@T creek to div1 before we know it.
  9. please not robbo, he will put us down. i'm surprised everyone is dismissing ardiles, a man who has won the world cup and saved other teams from relegation before. take into account PR and attendances, i can't see a fault. even the man himself has come out and mentioned us as a "wonderful opportunity". time tos how ambition, and robbo aint that.
  10. best new ever, ossy for manager
  11. please not robbo, he will get us relegated. a new direction is needed, and the board know it.
  12. Burley talks sh@t. butcher for manager. he has been looking for a way back into management for ages now, and what better than a club in the spl?
  13. i am absolutely confident in the players abilities to get us out of trouble. there is quality through the squad, not in huge amounts, but more than hamilton and possibly falkirk. with a new manager, they will all get a lift and hopefully win a ocuple of games, which is all we need at the moment. agree that robbo isn't the way to go, brewster is the definitive example of what happens when you re-employ a manager. most of 'his' players have either left or are going to leave soon and i've never rated him as a man-manager. the only reason he wants a job is because he can't get any others.
  14. talking absolute sh*te. the new billy dodds.
  15. please not robbo, time for a new direction. i know it will cost to pay for a new manager, but if the board show a little foresight, in that we will lose significantly more money than we would need to spend in compensation for a decent manager if we get relegated. neale cooper anyone? brian reid? at the very least an experienced man is needed, no-one along the lines of mccinnes.
  16. the worrying thing is our run of fixtures coming up that include celtic, dundee utd, hearts and aberdeen. Anyone see any points coming from those games cos i know i can't. personally surprised at the lack of fighters in the squad, i thought we had plenty in the shape of tokely, munro, hastings, black and cowie, but only a couple of those appear to be putting up a fight. Yet, very players comes out and states that "we are all behind brewster, morale is great, the boys come into training with a smile on their faces etc etc etc". if thats true then the gap in quality between us and falkirk, hamilton and motherwell is scary indeed. right now i'd take a player with little or no skill but one who is committed to the cause and who knows what is at stake. If we do drop down, there will be a mass exodus of players, and we will be left with a small support, sh@te manager and a depleted squad. Doesn't make good reading.
  17. i think the board have gone too far already. the fact he has had the time and funds to buy 4 new players shows that brew is here to stay for the time being, probably until the split.
  18. no, he was far better. Looked a wee bit dodgy from the couple of free-kicks, but did well enough.
  19. Rooney, when he is allowed to make an appearance, puts barrowman to shame. He actually moves, jumps and can even touch the ball before pssing it/having a shot. Maybe its brews tactics, but barowman should be playing better.
  20. cheered me up anyway.
  21. EVERYONE is unhappy with the way the club is going. Not everyone is anti-brew, i'd say right now its roughly half and half.
  22. "mon the caaaley"
  23. Munro is only a good captain when we are playing well and winning games. He so far has shown no fight at all. Pavels already looks like a better player.
  24. The fans were the best part of the game. They turned up in their numbers and made a good amount of noise. The hamilton fans wre sh@te, didn't hear them apart from when dougie came running past. Think he appreciated the fans for sticking with him and giving him a couple of songs, shouting down the accies fans. i feel a little bit sorry for hamilton, though. They are the worst excuse for a football team i ahve ever seen. At one point, when they had a throw-in, instead of throwing another ball onto the pitch after the other had been blazed out of the stadium, they sent the allboy to fetch the other one. It took at least 2 minutes jsut to get going again. They were pathetic. I thought hamilton were cut from our cloth, hard but fair. But they just cheated the entire match, the diving was incredible. apart from that, the only man with pass marks for me was big pavels in centre defence, he read the game well and played a good game. Morais tried but it just didn't come of for him. Baroowman should just leave, he has no feelings for the club and tried f@ck all in the first half. Wood was garbage when he replaced him. Esson was cr@p, can't remember a goalie kick the ball straight out so many times in the 2nd half. Next time, aim for the middle of the pitch. Don't believe the match reports, we didn't put up a fight, and we never looked like coming into it. A couple of free-kicks and a weak header was all we had in the 2nd half. Relegation looms.
  25. the crowds aren't going to increase dramatically unless the ticket prices for adults are cut down to size. free tickets to ICT games? sounds like child cruelty
