  1. Cannot believe people are calling for brew head. For the first time since we've moved up to the spl, we are playing nice football and passing it well. The only thing that is missing is a)luck and b)experience up front. Both of these things will come in time this season. ICT have always gone on runs throughout a season, and this one will be no different. I have no doubt in my mind that we will start winning games soon (admittedly we don't stand much of a chance against hibs next week) and then the tubes hiding behind their computer screens, who probably don't even go to the games to see how nicely we are playing and how small the margins are that we are losing by, will all find someone else to single out and attack. However i'm also a realist and know that we'll need a few signings this january to stay up. This year is the most competitive ever, and we need to treat every match like a cup final. But those who simply give up on the manager and henceforth the entire team are clearly not helping and can keep away from the games as long as possible IMO, even if there are only 100 fans who truly support the team at the next home game I'll be glad the ones who boo any slight mistake and jump on the backs of any player who is having a slightly off game aren't there. I know that its your right to do so after paying to get in, but if you don't like it so much then by all means stay away and spend your money elsewhere. Also i thought that his after match comments showed a bit of passion and team spirit. If he had rounded on the entire team, what would that do for team spirit? The players would be shattered and we would defenitely be heading for relegation. At least he tried to buoy the players and keep them focused on the next game. Although i will admit that he should give the team a few more rollickings than they are receiving at the minute.
  2. the highland psyche is to be miserable bast*rds. but section g has been lacking somewhat the last few games. if the g boys do start up a son or two, i'd be more than delighted to join in.
  3. 3-0 down. Bring on Hibs away. *****. i'm afraid that we need a miracle to get any points out of the next 70 minutes or the hibs game.
  4. can't see us getting anything, really need to stop this bad run or it could turn into a bad season. i never understand why brew never picks barrowman. he is a good manager, but i don't understand him sometimes. final whistle, we're out!!!!!!! Never mind, we'll focus on europe now.
  5. One of the best times ever (and this gives you all an insight into my life) was walking home down the longman in the driving sleet with a cold and a thumping headache after watching ICT grindout a 1-0 win over st mirren. I thought that was fantastic, it made it even more worthwhile. I've grown used to that fact that there is rarely an atmosphere, but i join in with the singing every time it starts up. (me and 3 others in the family section). Thats borne out of the 'family' atmosphere that the club was so keen on producing. It might bear fruit in a few years, if they haven't decided to stay at home by then. Going to a caley game is the what keeps the wheels turning during the week, and i've never left early even after losing 3-0 to motherwell with roscoe getting sent off for crushing mcgarrys face with his elbow. Include another 2500 to that and that makes a decent fanabase. If you look at aberdeen, attendances of, at most, 12,000. We get attendances of at most 7500. For a village of 80,000, thats good. Any team that gets almost 10% of its surrounding population is doing well. I know that 7500 is for an old firm game but i wanted to make this post positive. I just wish the club would attempt to either lower prices of everything, make the match atmosphere more enjoyable, sack the stewards or entertain us more but it isn't going to happen. Do they not care? I've never met a board member and don't know anyone 'inside'. Could someone tell me what they think of their fans and what they plan to do to keep them, because if ict drop down to the bottom, i can't see sttendances over 2500.
  6. Brewster is wiithout doubt a class act and could easily play an spl game. If, in the next few games, we look as fragile as we did against motherwell up front then bring brew on. With the lot we have at the minute, i think a roooooney and barrowman partnership wouldd do well. I seem to remember playing silky football with those two up front in the 1st half against hibs. Rooooooooney is a good player, but he is most defenitely not getting any service that he can use, as he doesn't make much of an impact in the air.
  7. who cares, its to annoy those touchy w*nkers in the south stand. I'm not sure i'd join in, but go ahead anyway. The atmosphere was a bit lacklustre today, section g was alright. But its still just me, a couple of boys up at the back, the man that sits beside me and a woman behind me that try to generate something even close to an atmosphere. You'd think for a 'big game' that more would be willing to join in, but no. but we don't have the worst atmopshere in the spl, ibrox and parkhead can be pretty much silent when playnig wee teams, killie aren't much better and motherwell can be pretty dire. Its just that most of the people up here are saddos and cling to one side of the old firm, and the club has generated a more family-orientated feel at matches. It might pay off in a few years but now i cring whenever i hear "caaallleeeyyy" in such a high-pitched voice. I cannot stand old firm fans up here. I've a friend whos a celtic fan, and yet he has only been to one match, a pre-season friendly against parma. I've taken him to a couple of caley games, so he's seen more of ICT than his 'beloved' celtic. Yet every year he forks out for as replica strip and brags about how good the team is. I can't understand how celtic and rangers fans can even celebrate narrowly beating a team with 100 times lessof a transfer budget, wage budget, training facilities and fan base. And right now, a neighbour has stuck up a celtic/irish flag in his front lawn, sad bast*rd.
  8. Today could have been different had we put away our chances. The 1st half was superb, we pushed them back and kept them back. Black and Imrie were fantastic and were tenacious throughout. I think Wood could have done better but he played well. The first time ever that I have come out of a match after being beaten (especially by one of the old firm) and felt reasonably happy with the game. Celtic won't get a harder game for a while in the spl. Just from the first half i see a good season ahead. But first motherwell next week.
  9. We should play mcguire over duff for now, and let Duff gain some more experience in the reserves, where he will come up gainst similar-level players anyway. I have always liked Mcguire, he rarely puts a foot wrong and is always there to boot the ball away. We'd be a worse team without him.
  10. sure you'll have no problem finding somewhere, looking forward to your first game marko? By november the 3rd we'll be top of the league, and you'll be here in time to see the first round of the scottish cup, which we will of course win. a funny thing is, one of our best players, don cowie, is apparently heading to leeds in January.
  11. am i the only one planning to start chanting "Billy Dodds, you're a w*nker, you're a w*nker" at the celtic game becasue after all the man himself will be gracing our stadium, as he is such a high-profile pundit that is highly rated at the bbc. and "billy, whats the score, billy, cilly, whats the score" if we go ahead. This is of coure if he predicts us to lose.....
  12. fraser roscoe (just to see him scythe down that tw*t mcgeady) hastings munro mcguire imrie duncan black (if fit) cowie rooney barrowman If black isn't fit, then replace him with the Royster, I feel slightly uneasy about this game, the saints beat rangers and its very rare, if not then completely unheard of, for the two of them to lose within a couple of weeks of each other. BRING ON THE CELTS!! THE SUPER ICT TO WIN 2-1, al last second dougie imrie strike.
  13. hey marko, what area of inverness do you hope to move into? if you need any advice on how to stalk the ict players give me message, i saw grant munro in tesco last week!
  14. You could be a steward, everyone loves them.
  15. Pretty good game, what is it with these two teams and scoring barrow-loads of goals. Nice celebration from Andy, i don't know what the killie players and fans were raging about, the comentators said it was a clear penalty, i suppose we'll see in the hidhlights. The best player on that park was Ian Black, followed closely by Imrie and Barrowman. See what happens when we play those two? For the record, vigurs also impressed today. I thought he played well, but tired a little in the end. A good performance, the fans responeded, black rises like a salmon to head a 18 yard header home, imrie plays fantastic, barrowman scores, fraser makes a mistake, roscoe plays well-ish, hastings and mcguire look dependable. WHAT IS GOING ON??? :thumb04: :018:
  16. He usually makes at least one strange decision a game, and for the last two games it's costed us points.
  17. dougie can be a genius at times, but when we aren't playing well, he just doesn't get enough space on the ball to run at the opposition. Like roscoe, the other team knows what he's all about and mark him out of the game.
  18. time to drop roscoe as soon as proctor comes back to full fitness. sorry to say it but hopefully he'll get a kick up the arse and be back to his mazy-running self. Barrowman just needs a goal. For me the midfield isn't creating enough, and like he says he can't create something out of nothing. Then again Dargo and Denzil did it consistently.
  19. gk fraser rb tokely lb hastings cb munro cb duff lm imrie rm cowie cm black cm duncan fc barrowman fc rooney
  20. yep i probably got caught up in the moment after finally starting a reasonably successful thread (probably due to the slightly controversial nature to it) but my opinion is now clear. i hope vigurs will change my mind, but i doubt i will ever change my name to vigursisvictorious. although it does have a certain ring to it.....
  21. I have always supported Brewster, but he made the wrong team selection. Just to clear things up : Vigurs, Duff and Wood did not play well enough to impress me. They looked slow, unreliable and lacked any real spark that was needed to win the game. I think that if we had played Imrie (who has only played badly in one half of one game so far) instead of Vigurs out wide, we would have stretched the st mirren defence much more than we did. If we had played Barrowman instead of Wood then we would have scored another couple of goals as Barrowman has more presence and can keep his head when in front of goal. ALso, if we had played Munro instead of Duff, then i doubt we would have conceded any goals on saturday. To leave the club captain and a man that scored 29 goals last season (alright at a lower level but confidence is all he needs to repeat the feat in the spl, and sitting on the bench isn't going to inspire him to anywhere near that tally) andreplace them with two inexperienced young players strikes me as bizarre. Fair enough, all three played their part against falkirk and all three played well, but the 'hype' after that game was unbelievable. We played well, but didn't deserve half the praise we received. The game against st mirren was important, if we'd won there would have been a 7 point gap between us, and we should have played our best players. I don't think Vigurs and Wood come under that category. They were not the only problems on saturday and they didn't play as badly as Mcguire and indeed Roscoe, but i'm not saying that they should have been playing either. I have no grudge against vigurs, duff or wood and i think they will become very good players for us one day. But against st mirren wasn't the time or place. When we are safer than we are at the moment, then we can afford to give them a game or the last 30 mins of a game. Hopefully only Duff will have retained his place against Hearts, and this will be the line-up: gk Fraser rb Tokely (preferably Proctor) lb Hastings (just) cb Munro cb Duff lm Imrie rm Cowie cm Black cm McBain (or Duncan) fc Rooney fc Barrowman ps just for alex macleod; although rooney is a young player, he has had enough experience to give me confidence in him. Hope that clears things up. Also, GTF Gatepost, try posting something worthwhile.
  22. A big crowd or atmosphere shouldn't matter to them, they are professional footballers and most of them know what to expect when playing at TCS. No atmosphere and some clapping from time to time. This didn't seem to hamper them last season when we had pretty good home form.
