  1. One more Q, how do you get the tickets for the ame? Since there is expected to be a larger turnout than usual, do you have to buy through Hamilton's facilities?
  2. Pretty good performance, morais already looks a real good signing, he does remind me of Juanjo quite a bit. Mihadjuks also looked classy in defence, he knew where to position himself, and what to do when he had the ball at his feet. Nice to be in the 5th round, hope we get a decent draw, possibly even an away trip judging from the pretty poor turnout today.
  3. sorry to bring this topic up again, but i need a bit of information. Does anyone know if there are any seats left on any of the buses? Plus, is the bus leaving from the caley inn only for those for those currently a member of the supporters club? I've only heard of this today, and i would really love to go, just wondering if there are any spaces left or not, i imagined that they would be snapped up pretty sharpish.
  4. I'm no huge fan of robbo. He may give the players a bit of a boost for a few games, but apart from that i can't see him changing much. The lift may be enough to keep us up, but only for the one season. If we were to get a new manager i'd prefer a completely new direction.
  5. LINTON = GENIUS i've been in that sports comment thingy 6 times now in the last couple of months. don't know what that says about me or the quality of his sports comments though.
  6. Absolutely awful. There needs to be something done soon or this clubs going down. I know our long term future is safe, but I'd prefer our short term future was in the SPL rather than div 1. Brewster right now is lost, and he has thrown away all respect i had for him. Takes no blame, and yet puts out a team I would rank as an average first division side to get humped every weekend. The fans have lost the players they could associate with and as a direct result the club has no leaders, no one who is willing to take the baton and work harder to get the club back on its feet. Right now, i'd say get rid of brewster in time for the january transfer window, and bring in Chisolm from QoS, or even someone along the lines of Neale Cooper (although hopefully not him); a manger with experience, and a manager who knows how to grind out a result, and could make us hard to beat again.
  7. although it is crucial the club doesn't panic something does need to be changed soon.
  8. sometimes a coach who can inspire the players can be more valuable than a new manager.
  9. The biggest loss to the lcub in recent years was donald park. His knowledge of football and coaching ability of the players was invaluable, and malky doesn't seem to have the same powers. Maybe a new assistant would help break this sequence of results?
  10. The performace was abject. There was no fight from the players and in truth we were second-best throughout. The team had no guts, brain or brawn. A huge disapponitment as it was a big game for the club, one i thought could turn around the season. Afraid to say i joined in with a couple of anitbrew chants. I would love to see all of those players and the manager himself come out after the game and apologise for a sh*te performance, even when the fans got behind them and cheered them. How is that going to persuade antone away from the glory-hunting and sheer ease of supporting the big teams, sitting in a warm pub or in their living room. The only laugh f the day was wood as MOM, he was godawful. Has he been taking lessons from barrowman, he doesn't jump either. Imrie was terrible, cowie and black are already half way out the door judging from that, and that was the owrst performance i have seen in a long time from someone in an ICT shirt in the shape of Proctor. USELESS. Not quite at the stage of saying that sacking brew will solve the problems surrounding the club, but something needfs to change.
  11. Not proving me right, convincing me that brewster is a good manager and that my opinion of him was realistic. I'm close to switching sides. Measurable success? In the sense that he has improved the squad with little or no transfer budget, and we had a relatively good last season only soured by the last few results. This one hasn't been quite so good so far, admittedly, but theres still time to turn it around, under brewtser or not. It seems to me that you are a sh*te worker then. The players should be playing for the club and the fans. Its no their fault that Brewster is being held responsible is what i meant.
  12. if we don't put on a good performance and get some points against aberdeen then I'll be joining everyone and emailing, changing my avatar and possibly my name which the sports editor at the courier seems to like so much. Until then I'm going to the game as a fan of the players.
  13. I agree that it is up to the board and others higher up in the scheme of things at ict to change things around; they don't seem to care about the current state of the club and fans. But, i'll give brewster a couple more chances to turn it around before i consider stopping going to the games. I'm not one of those tubes who try to make anyone else look like less of a fan, so good luck in the protest.
  14. I voted NO, but he has only a couple more games to convince me that I am right. He is a good manager who justs needs a little experience, as do his players. If we had any other manager that the anti-brews want we wouldn't have any different results. Not saying it is the players fault but if they aren't perfroming for Brewster through choice then they should be shown the door, not the man responsible for building the future of the club. Though i have to say this whole positivity thing really hasn't been working out so far...
  15. heres an idea: go to the game, support the team and cheer on a much-needed win. Leave the antibrew chanting till the end, it will be much more effective after a home win.
  16. its the players who need the support, they have the club at heart and could do with cheering on. I'll be there supporting them and Brewster, i know i'll be the only one judging from this. I tend to see the team and the managers as one for all and all for one. the fans should adopt this and turn out for the aberdeen game, it sounds a bit gay, but this really is the time the boys need it most.
  17. Yep the tide is turning. I'm not quite an anti-brew yet but something has to change. If we don't beat aberdeen or motherwell then I am afraid to admit it might have to be the manager. I know i have defended the man to the death but its getting harder and harder to do so after each loss. We are losing against the teams above us who we should at least compete with while we are losing the really important games against the lower teams (st mirren). A team with a strikng partnership of wyness and hamilton managed to hump us. Not good. But, if you support ict then it is THE time to come out and go to the games, it is THE time the players need the support the most. Seriously, heckle brew all you want, but sometimes it's painful to see our own fans get on the backs of the players within seconds. there's still time for brewster to turn it around, but its fast running out.
  18. Hi robbo, know you've logged off, this one for the next time: why do you think we have such a lousy current home record? Is it the pressure of the fans expectations, the players cannot break a team down, other teams have susseed us out?
  19. Where better to learn your trade than at the top level in Scotland witha steady and usually reliable team? The home form has disappointed me as well, but I can still see a future under Brewster. As far as i can see we aren't going to get many if any more home wins but I'n happy if we can avoid the bottom ten. Not because i am aiming too low but because i recognise the standard has been upped this season.
  20. I'm not completely unswayable, i could still join the rabble of pessimistic anti-brews on this thread. But right now i see us in a position in the league which i would be happy to see us in at the end of the season. Can't believe that some people can go so quickly from absolute delirium one minute after beating a team away from home, to absolute depression the next when we lose to a utd side who are cleary far ahead of us. Sorry to burst yo're bubble but we aren't as good as utd. Those of you who think otherwise are more deluded than i am. As a comparison, if brew was a plyer in our youth ranks, and if he hadn't played amazingly in every game but showed glimpses of greatness (beating celtic 3-2, hearts by the same scoreline and Hibs 2-0 within a month) regularly, you wouldn't sack him and deride him, you'd declare him as an 'exciting prospect'. Thats the way i look at Brewsters managerial campaign so far. Seriously, can't wait to see the tirade of abuse for this realism and (i'll admit slightly extreme) optimism.
  21. Brewster is still learning his trade. He is young, and still needs to work on aspects of his managerial abilities. But he has brought success to the club in the sense that he has kept us up and looks as though he can keep us up again. I know that one year we will go down, the way other clubs around us are improving is scary, and we don't have the resources. But brew signs good and promising players that will become the future of the club. He has given home-grown players their chance, and seems to be a good judge of character. I'll admit that he does need a PR man to tell him how to appeal to the fans (starting by keeping barry somehow) and could try sticking to the same tactics now and again. I cannot remember many SPL teams who sacked their manager at this stage of the season in our condition and have gone onto better things. If we can keep mcallister for 5 years and wyness for two when they are awful, then surely brew deserves his crack at the whip.
  22. expect brewster to play himself in every position, and lose 45-2. Then expect him to come out after the game (possibly literally) and state that "we played well in the first half, then i f*cked up the players confidence and morale with my boring speech. After that, we lost the goals and the game. Thats the way football goes, eh"
  23. Esson gk Proctor rb Hastings lb Munro cb Duff cb Cowie rm Imrie lm Black cm Duncan cm Vigurs cm Rooney fc Rooney to score the winner, 2-1 to us.
  24. Is brewster wise???? the last thing he should do is get rid of one of the club legends. He is now officially public enemy number one with most ICT fans, and i am growing closer to joining them.
  25. The best player i have ever seen. Will the last home game be against aberdeen? i feel a last minute winner coming, he always does things with style.
