  1. 20 goals in 21 games is awful, no excuses. its not only the strikers fault for this (and some argue the manager) but the midfield have been disappointing for me this eason. cowie and dougie in particular should be scoring many more goals than they have been.
  2. partick are sh*te ict are the greatest club on earth :018: get used to it :thumb04:
  3. yes we do. you don't win games if you look as though you can't buy a goal. not only is the scoring of goals an important issue, but an experienced striker would help the likes of wood and rooney develop. I know we have brew already taking up this position, but playing alongside an experienced player who has been there and done it would be fantastic for the young boys.
  4. i like the sound of him, but i hope this isn't our january signings over and done with. the one thing we need is the one thing we haven't got yet: an experienced striker.
  5. Good to see mikey back, esson is a good goalie and his distribution is better but mine just has the edge on the pure basis that he is a fantastic reaction keeper, and gets downs low well to save. plus he was responsible for possibly the best moment in football ever with THAT save against 'tic.
  6. sounds a good draw, i would have taken anyone at home. the way the cup has gone in the last few years, it wouldn't surprise me if we made it to the final a la Dunfermline. hopefully we'll survive as well though.
  7. Looking forward to seeing him rip apart hamilton now, i think most teams won't be able to cope with him if he keeps it up. Mihadjuks + co must have been wondering what the hell they had got themselves in for, coming out into the pouring rain with only 1000 or so cheering them on. To be honest, it didn't look like Morais could have cared less, its been a while sinces hes been the headline maker at any club. shocking accent though.
  8. THE NEW HERO just the type of player we need, someone with bags of energy and knows how to put it to good use. It's been a long time since i have seen a player put in so much effort in one match, the rest of the team should be taking lessons off him in how to impress the fans. One thing: what in gods name was his celebration for his second goal about? Glad to see someone enjoying themself on the ICT though. also liked the way mihadjuks is shaping up, looked like he knew what he was doing apart from a few misplaced passes.
  9. I don't think BBB's post is 100% accurate, but the basis behind it is spot on. The whole premise of todays game was to raise the confidence of the players and of the fans, and from the game today it seems to have done exactly that. For people to be knocking the performance and the result aginst a decent partick side is ludicrous. Everyone should be using this as momentum to be carried onto the league games coming up.
  10. One more Q, how do you get the tickets for the ame? Since there is expected to be a larger turnout than usual, do you have to buy through Hamilton's facilities?
  11. Pretty good performance, morais already looks a real good signing, he does remind me of Juanjo quite a bit. Mihadjuks also looked classy in defence, he knew where to position himself, and what to do when he had the ball at his feet. Nice to be in the 5th round, hope we get a decent draw, possibly even an away trip judging from the pretty poor turnout today.
  12. sorry to bring this topic up again, but i need a bit of information. Does anyone know if there are any seats left on any of the buses? Plus, is the bus leaving from the caley inn only for those for those currently a member of the supporters club? I've only heard of this today, and i would really love to go, just wondering if there are any spaces left or not, i imagined that they would be snapped up pretty sharpish.
  13. I'm no huge fan of robbo. He may give the players a bit of a boost for a few games, but apart from that i can't see him changing much. The lift may be enough to keep us up, but only for the one season. If we were to get a new manager i'd prefer a completely new direction.
  14. LINTON = GENIUS i've been in that sports comment thingy 6 times now in the last couple of months. don't know what that says about me or the quality of his sports comments though.
  15. Right now i'd go for jim mcallistar of Morton, he is a cracking player. Or even a move for Dargo, an extremely under-rated player who was fantastic in his first spell, he's got the pace, power and finishing. Maybe a long-shot but i hear mark corcoran is available....
  16. Absolutely awful. There needs to be something done soon or this clubs going down. I know our long term future is safe, but I'd prefer our short term future was in the SPL rather than div 1. Brewster right now is lost, and he has thrown away all respect i had for him. Takes no blame, and yet puts out a team I would rank as an average first division side to get humped every weekend. The fans have lost the players they could associate with and as a direct result the club has no leaders, no one who is willing to take the baton and work harder to get the club back on its feet. Right now, i'd say get rid of brewster in time for the january transfer window, and bring in Chisolm from QoS, or even someone along the lines of Neale Cooper (although hopefully not him); a manger with experience, and a manager who knows how to grind out a result, and could make us hard to beat again.
  17. although it is crucial the club doesn't panic something does need to be changed soon.
  18. sometimes a coach who can inspire the players can be more valuable than a new manager.
  19. The biggest loss to the lcub in recent years was donald park. His knowledge of football and coaching ability of the players was invaluable, and malky doesn't seem to have the same powers. Maybe a new assistant would help break this sequence of results?
  20. The performace was abject. There was no fight from the players and in truth we were second-best throughout. The team had no guts, brain or brawn. A huge disapponitment as it was a big game for the club, one i thought could turn around the season. Afraid to say i joined in with a couple of anitbrew chants. I would love to see all of those players and the manager himself come out after the game and apologise for a sh*te performance, even when the fans got behind them and cheered them. How is that going to persuade antone away from the glory-hunting and sheer ease of supporting the big teams, sitting in a warm pub or in their living room. The only laugh f the day was wood as MOM, he was godawful. Has he been taking lessons from barrowman, he doesn't jump either. Imrie was terrible, cowie and black are already half way out the door judging from that, and that was the owrst performance i have seen in a long time from someone in an ICT shirt in the shape of Proctor. USELESS. Not quite at the stage of saying that sacking brew will solve the problems surrounding the club, but something needfs to change.
  21. Not proving me right, convincing me that brewster is a good manager and that my opinion of him was realistic. I'm close to switching sides. Measurable success? In the sense that he has improved the squad with little or no transfer budget, and we had a relatively good last season only soured by the last few results. This one hasn't been quite so good so far, admittedly, but theres still time to turn it around, under brewtser or not. It seems to me that you are a sh*te worker then. The players should be playing for the club and the fans. Its no their fault that Brewster is being held responsible is what i meant.
  22. if we don't put on a good performance and get some points against aberdeen then I'll be joining everyone and emailing, changing my avatar and possibly my name which the sports editor at the courier seems to like so much. Until then I'm going to the game as a fan of the players.
  23. I agree that it is up to the board and others higher up in the scheme of things at ict to change things around; they don't seem to care about the current state of the club and fans. But, i'll give brewster a couple more chances to turn it around before i consider stopping going to the games. I'm not one of those tubes who try to make anyone else look like less of a fan, so good luck in the protest.
  24. I voted NO, but he has only a couple more games to convince me that I am right. He is a good manager who justs needs a little experience, as do his players. If we had any other manager that the anti-brews want we wouldn't have any different results. Not saying it is the players fault but if they aren't perfroming for Brewster through choice then they should be shown the door, not the man responsible for building the future of the club. Though i have to say this whole positivity thing really hasn't been working out so far...
  25. heres an idea: go to the game, support the team and cheer on a much-needed win. Leave the antibrew chanting till the end, it will be much more effective after a home win.
