  1. Theres definitely a different feel to the club and the games now, an air of resignation as soon as the first goal goes in. Last season i felt that in any game, we could claw back a one or two goal defecit, and we did so many times. Now i don't see it happening even once.
  2. mThe only attribute he has is his finishing ability. At county he would regualarly get 5-6 chances a game, but at caley he gets around 1 a game. He just isn't suited to the wasy we play, and should probably leave.
  3. The one thng that has been at the back of my mind ever since brew came to theclub was his failure at utd. In his previous spell with us he had the one-man goal machine dargo, and a solid defence with doddsy. Now we have no talisman such as dargs, and the gap in quality is looking scary, especially today. We were beaten by the better side but i would never expect such a performance of ineptitude. Barrowman looked absolutely shocking, his career is over with the club. Wilson should have been on from the start, at times like this we need someone like him to rally the troops and show a bit of passion and drive. The major worry is the way we seem to implode completely. Last season, i always had feeling, no matter if we were two or three down, that we could come back and win. Now i know that the match is over when the other team goes one up. There is a missing link, and last season the link was Super Marius Niculae. He always took the time to work with the midfield and build from there, and he could pull something out of the bag in an instant. The thing that really depressed me, risking the chance of being a doom-merchant, was watching a dundee utd player take a free-kick and narrowly miss, before going close again a couple of minutes later. We have no-one who could even get that close to goal. That is a MASSIVE gap in quality. Honestly right now i would settle for a player with minimal skill and power if they just had a bit of pace. Robertson was killing us today down the left, and duff was made a laughing stock. Still, i have faith in the club. The game was a write-off, and dundee utd are a very good side. All we need is a bit of pace and we have a good side there. BRING ON ST MIRREN......
  4. cheers for the info. went to see the clachers today as ict were playing away, fecking freezing and they got humped 5-0. Still, at ?5 or so, it was a snip. PLUS i got to stand at a football match without being thrown out.
  5. Zander will make a big impact when he is given his chance. The new barry wilson.
  6. Sounds like a good performance, the only fault being that we just didn't get the ball into the back of the net. I never write off a game we play in, but when we play away from home against the old firm, a good performance is enough for me. bring on utd.
  7. keep barry, we need to hold onto him as he is the ONLY man that i have seen put a decent ball into the box so far this season. without him, we don't have many players the fans can look up to and affiliate with.
  8. yeah same again please, except bring on rooney for wood late on, when we are a couple of goals clear of 'tic.
  9. I'll make a deal with all of the anti-brews; if craig doesn't win at least one games between now and the first game in January then I might have some doubts about him. Until then, we have falkirk, st mirren and motherwell trailing in our wake and we are 8th in the league. We are 6 points clear of the bottom and Hamilton don't look like they are winning their next couple of games. It all looks pretty good to me. A couple of home wins and we'll be laughing all thew way to the top six.
  10. hello, can anyone please tell me if there is any games on at the bught today or in the near future? I saw the inverness ladies hammering tynecastle ladies 7-1, great game. Can't find the fixtures on google so i have to ask football gurus like yourselves.
  11. hope they all survive the match, it will make our victory even more impressive.
  12. I'd like to see a few players hipped out and money plunged into keeping both cowie and black, they work well together in midfield and are possibly our 2 best player s ever (in terms of skill and technical ability).
  13. Brewster did nothing wrong in shouting at his players, the way they were playing they deserved it. The only thing it will do is spur on the players to do better. It at the very least shows that he expects better and wants the club to start winning games; and the players need motivation for this to happen. It seems to me that brewster cannot win with some people. One minute the players are being slagged off for playing badly and brewster doesn't show enough passion; the next he's getting slaughtered for shouting at his own players and urging them on. Is there anything that any of the anti-brews like about the man?
  14. our players are best suited to sitting in and breaking away at pace. players like cowie and imrie cannot produce as manay chances with 10 men sitting in front of them. I wouldn't mind seeing us play to these tactics at home, the fans wouldn't be too happy but the points would roll in.
  15. sounds like a very good win. thought we'd thrown it away with the penalty, thank god for medhi tauoil as that was a cruical three points. Now thats two games we need to lose and two games hamilton need to win. bring on celtic

nice win for you today, you could still use rooney though. he's the new hero as far as i'm concerned.
  17. Brewster: young a talented footballer that understands the need for fitness and hard work attacking style of play under his guidance has good contacts within the game helped us beat celtic and aberdeen (two biggest games for me) saved us from relegation with quality signings, a la dargo and dougie obviously loves ict and inverness confident enough to stand up for himself and his footballing philosophy/team selection John Robertson: good manager. Barry Wilson: going to be a good manager, but not yet. no experience
  18. although hamilton have shown the same types of football as us, they do not have the players for it to get them enough points to stay up. They lack consistency, whereas we have shown in the last 5 seasons that we can (and will) go on runs that will give us the required boost to stay away from any relegation battle. I know so far w have been consistnetly losing, but we usually turn it around. Without hamilton winning regularly like they were in division 1, and feeding off that confidence, plus they can't use their plastic pitch; they are going down. As soon as we get black and cowie back to their best, and as soon as rooney starts getting a couple of chances a game (a by-product of cowie and black at their best) then we will start winning games.
  19. not saying that ict don't have their faults, but we have proved that we can play a)nice football, pasing it when possible (except it hasn't quite come off yet up front) counter-attacking football and c) lump it up the park and hope football. Yep, we are also on a bad run right now, but we have shown before that it only takes one result to change it around. With Hamilton, IMO, they will not be able to string more than two or three games unbeaten before they get beaten.
  20. we are capable and have the spl experience to grind out results from time to time. Hamilton are naive in their tactics, and they are getting found out for it. I gaurantee you that we are better than hamilton, and the league table will show this at the end of the season.
  21. barry was pretty good yesterday. he showed willingness to make runs and beat defenders (something i have never seen dougie do) and almost set up barrowman within a couple of minutes.
  22. this is going to be one long and dark winter for ict fans. i reckon that our gates will be embarrassingly low for dun utd and aberdeen. the only way is up...
  23. WE ARE NOT GOING DOWN!!!! hamilton are a one-trick pony, and they have a dreaful run going on at the minute. They are full of youngsters who will crumble even if hamilton manage to make it a relegation 'battle'. we have a good team, and we will pick up points here and there, enough to keep us up.
  24. if the results keep going the way they are, a gamble is worth a few more goals. Then again I don't think he'd come back.

didn't hear anything yesterday. even the main stand was louder than section g!
