  1. on a side note; thanks very much for moving this game to a Friday night, cos i will miss it * sarcasm implied*
  2. I wouldn't have anyone else in charge of ICT right now
  3. Now that Rangers are potentially out of the way for a minimum 3 season that we have a fight to make an impact on the SPL. All the pressure is with Celtic and the media will go into "Treble" overload. All the other teams have nothing to lose but to fight it out for 2nd place and the league & Scottish Cups. I believe this is our best opportunity to kick some A*se in this division. And remember; there isnt a team in the SPL that we have not beaten convincingly over the last few years, so we are more than capable of holding our own. We have lost a lot of good players and it will take time for the newbies to settle and gel, but gelling a team is one of Butchers talents. Im happy to say it nice and early I BELIEVE! Anybody else?
  4. I take it this would be after this season which they are contracted to?
  5. 2-1 ICT tweets here https://twitter.com/NathanMackenz1
  6. As well as newcomers to the area the idea could be extended to families who have lived here for ages. Courier could support this by photographing players handing tickets over to families. Why not 5 different families per game. Great P.R! Info relating to New Housing/Buyers etc is easy to come buy. I also thought the club might want to get an official Iphone/Android App. These can be done for free without needing computer code! Also it has been mentioned before on here about link ups with towns named Inverness in the US. I think the 2 top ways to market a club is buying a player to put bums on seats! Dundee did it years ago, and although this proved to be costly it did work. Also tapping into markets like China & India has enormous revenues. Alas again a costly option. Check this site out. Simple ideas! http://www.footballmarketing.biz/ Another thought occurred to me. I get random texts from various pizza places in Edinburgh offering me deals. What would be the cost of a blanket text to fans; not only reminding them of up and coming games but offering a discount to entry if they quote a ref no on the text.
  7. Question! People are mentioning Sky this and Sky that! We also have an ESPN TV deal! Anyone know what their stance is?
  8. Just when we thought it was safe to go back into the water! Kenny Cameron throws another killer shark into the mix. What's he playing at..cupid stunt!
  9. Hmm tough one now i think about it! Dunfermline did vote for us when we gained entry to the league and its a closer trip for away days for me. Dundee would probably offer the better football and they add another Derby to the Highland & Edinburgh Derby's However they did try and buy the 1st division recently so i'll go for Dunfermline and hope they are still as crap as they were last season!
  10. Never doubted our position so i am glad ICT have said no! However lets not forget we will have County fans to fill the away end this season! Who needs Rangers!
  11. Someone mentioned to me today that ICT went through a similar situation as Rangers at Hampden in season 03/04 when the SPL clubs voted for or against our entry. Can anyone advise on what teams stood where on the 2 votes. I do know that we required 8 yes there were initially 7 votes for yes, 3 for no & 2 abstentions. Hearts & Hibs then asked for a 2nd vote with Dundee Utd revering their decision. any help appreciated
  12. personally your humble narrator thinks all football players are greedy
  13. but dont fans of County & ICT face long travels south every other weekend? YES WE BLOODY DO !!!!!
  14. wait a minute! they are not being "given the right" to compete in the SPL! The 11 clubs will more than likely vote against them by all accounts. Sorry but the SFA/SPL have continually ignored fans over the years so i dont see the point in this type of action
  15. 100% with the OP The SFA/SPL are desperate to keep the Ugly Sisters together, but the integrity of this game in our country is in tatters with all the allegations of criminal activities aimed a R*angers FC. The 3rd Division or nothing at all. But hang on wont the SFL vote on their entrance to the 3rd Division?
  16. Butcher has an impressive amount of contacts in the UK hence his "gem" finding abilities! Scouts are an extra drain on the wage budget, so im happy with the current situation of Butcher/Malpas & Marsella
  17. "Boyhood Heroes" - when a player joins any club they are automatically labelled as a supporter since they could walk!
  18. Trust us all North End when we say you don't wanna be taking IHE out for dinner unless you want bar brawls and a night in the cells added to it...lol!
  19. As i dont read The S*n. Can anyone explain Johnnys Tweet jonathan hayes ‏@jonnyhayes7 Day 1; jonny Hayes 0-1 the sun Expand Reply Retweet Favorite
  20. Nothing will stop me supporting ICT but I will not give my money to Rangers. If it is true that ICT condone such a re-entry then i will certainly lose respect for my club
  21. Mr Dougal!! I wished county all the best when they were in the cup final last year! I was glad that they won the 1st Division with ease this year But now we are in the same league again they are our nearest rivals and yes i want them to lose games and get relegated back to the 1st division. Thats what a football rivalry is all about. I dont hate them or wish their fans ill; Lets leave that to the Ugly sisters, but i want the other 11 SPL teams to crush them every weekend!!!!
  22. sure! as long as the kids are alright! What about us older chaps who have supported the club forever and ploughed thousands of their own money into the club over the years!! Im all for attracting kids to the club when their young just dont forget your older fans!
