  1. Both were rather pathetic about the whole thing. Duncan falling down like a heap of bricks at nothing and Darren Barr playing dead then rising to his feet instantly as soon as Caley attack, did make good entertainment.

Willie Gibson is a great wee player for Killie and he never plays regularly. Given we seem to lack any natrual width on the left i'd say he would be worth a punt.

You say that as if we are stuck with him forever while in fact his current deal expires at the end of the season. But regardless the man has shown that he does have some of the required attributes to play at SPL level and while he may not be the most convincing at times he is no worse than Hastings has been all season, to me he has been the most under-performing player leading up to Lionel's run in the team. In my own opinion Lionel was treated very unfairly by Craig Brewster as were alot of first team players while he was manager but since Terry Butcher has come in he has seen a positive side in Lionel, shown a bit of faith and it has worked wonders and yes he made a costly error on Saturday but Duncan, Esson and Munro all made costly errors last week so personally i see being "stuck with him" as no bad thing.

I've watched Antoine-Curier a couple of times and everytime he has looked a handful for a defence, the only reason for his slight lack of goals is because he was injured for a chunk of the season. He's 6 ft 3 as well so he's a great physical threat, wouldn't mind him at all. Also if Falkirk were to be relegated the likes of Steve Lovell and Burton O'Brien would be great signings also. But i think everyone in our current squad deserves a clean slate and given the likes pf Proctor and Djebi-Zadi appear to have found some form for themselves i'd say Barrowman should be given one as well.
  5. Esson Tokely, Mihadjuks, Munro, Hastings Morais, Kerr, Black, Vigurs Foran, Imrie Fraser, Duff, Proctor, McBain, Odhiambo, Rooney, Barrowman
  6. Does make you wonder Starchief. If he was so concerned about our lack of goals. Why didn't pluck up the courage to get his boots on and get out there to help?? But lets not dwell on it.
  7. Hope Butcher drops him for it because to me Duncan's an absolute liability most of the time. Moans all the time, gives away posession far too easily and falls like a shot elephant at the most minimum contact you'll ever see. Thought Kerr did a good job on Saturday and if Blacks fit i say they should be the starting pair between now and the end of the season.

I wonder what the future holds for him now. I really wasn't entirely convinced by Hastings performance on Saturday and i would have to say that Lionel would still be my first choice but will that be Butcher's??
  9. Imrie and Foran up front. Foran wins his fair share of headers and also gets himself into finishing positions better than anyone we have. With Imrie up top his effortless runs will drag defenders away to create space for Foran as well as mayb'e nipping the odd chance for himself but he is no winger. The boy can't cross to save his life. As for Morais i would probably like to see him deployed on the right-wing, his pace is crucial and his quick control makes him tricky for defenders. On the left i would get Vigurs back in, while he wasn't the quickest he was always the best player for set-pieces and crossing and that left foot of his packs a powerful shot.
  10. If we stay up then i view the season as a success. Relegated i would rule it as an unfortunate failure. Tbh i would rather just put the first half of the season behind me because it was arguably the worst time i've had as an ICT fan.
  11. If we stay up he stays i reckon, if a fee is required then pay it, defenders of his quality don't come round often.
  12. The penalty and the sending off changed the whole complexion of the game. I have some sympathy for Lionel as i felt Esson should have come out to gather the ball and with Finnigan lurking i don't think Lionel had much choice. Imrie was frustrating, Duncan was his usual poor passing self and we had to put up with yet another host of ridiculous refereeing decisions. How an earth was Darren Barr not red carded?. He nutted Duncan on the pitch, we all saw it and by the looks of it even the linesman saw it so why wasn't he sent packing????? I can only think that if he had gone we may have got an equaliser. Hats off to Dani Mallo though, he made a couple of outstanding saves throughout the game. Only positive to come from this is we only have one objective now.....remain in the Premier League.
  13. Rooneys a threat up front and hopefully Morais's pace will cause the likes of Weir and Bougherra problems. Tonight will be a big tester for Lionel and Mihadjuks i think.

Got to get him sorted on a long term deal. The man has made our defence look like a defence again. He is big, solid and has a really solid presence at the back.

Need to be ambitious in every game we play. Esson Tokely, Munro, Mihadjuks, Djebi-Zadi Morais, Black, Kerr, Vigurs Foran, Imrie Subs: Fraser, Duff, Hastings, Odhiambo, Duncan, Rooney, Wood.
  16. So Tokely practically battered Steven McGarry on the pitch last season and he isn't considered a hard man hahaha. I wonder if Pavels mayb'e has a dark side to him. Imrie is no hard man, just a cheeky poser. Would have to agree Renegade a hardman is required for this team. Given his record and your undying love for him i take it your going to suggest Kevin Muscat?

Are any of our strikers the finished article? Richie Forans not exacly lacking experience but he seems to be used as a wide player still. But i would agree with Johnboy, we seem to lack any forwards with a good dose of experience.

I think if the team plays well then Lionel plays well, simple as that. We have played some great football over the last couple of weeks and in amongst that have taken some valuable results and the one common thing in every game is that Lionel worked his socks of and turned out some great performances. Looking back on Saturday i don't really think anyone merited a man of the match award as everyone played below average, Lionel included but he was no worse than anyone else. I would hate to see the guy make a mistake and i wouldn't dare wish upon any ICT player making an error that had bad consiquences as it would be horrible for both the team and the player. But Lionel was pritty much deemed a failure as soon as he walked in the door and under Brew he pritty much was but things have changed now and everyone has been given a clean slate and a chance to impress, Lionel included and i think its only right to back the player up while he is playing fairly well.
  19. I really don't think that Lionel is any worse than Hastings has been throughout the season. While the man may not quite be SPL standard he is still showing certain attributes that seem to have a positive effect. They mentioned the fact that there was a lack of decent crosses going into the box on Saturday. Thats because for the best part of an hour we had a full-back and a striker patrolling the flanks which brought very little success. Morais i think needs to start from now on and mayb'e get Vigurs back on the left flank as he seems to be forgotten about. Russell's lack of any passing talent cost us the opening goal, yes Esson made the error but it should never have led to that. This policy of hit and hope needs to be completely abolished now. I think ideally Brian Kerr and Ian Black should be the starting pair in the centre. And like IHE said Foran is a finisher and he also wins his fair share of headers and i think that with the amount of ground that Dougie covers he should be up top with him. It's not ideal and i can only assume that if Butcher had come in a month earlier our squad would be in much better shape. Saturday was a wake up call to realise that between now and the end of the season our best team has to play every game, no matter what.
  20. I wish i could care.
  21. I was so frustrated with McCurry today that i phoned into Jim Traynor about it....didn't get on. How can he still be a ref if he makes bloopers like he did today and other days so often. The SFA surely need to take some sort of action agianst a ref who is so consistently. I grant Esson made a houler but it came from a free-kick that should never have been given. Richie Foran made a clean challenge for the ball, it was a blatant throw-in. Also big claim for a penalty towards the end and a dubious offside given against us when Foran scored. In terms of the team's performance today it was a very frustrating game to be at because we were clearly the better side but had very little to show for it in the final third and at the same time we were suspect at the back with all people being Munro to make the key error of the game. Those sort of things need corrected soon to ensure they don't happen again. Would also like to see Vigurs back in the team. As we lack any sort of threat in terms of a decent cross, Lionel and Rosscoe are good at bombing up the field but crossing is poor.
  22. Well thats a load of rubbish. Yes the Winter weather has taken it's toll but overall we have one of the best pitches in the land. Compared to even the likes of Tynecastle and Tannidice we are much better imo. The Bught is better maintained than Fir Park.
  23. I hope they build a barrier preventing Brewster getting over the other side of the Kessock bridge. I was very suprised to see that Dodds tipped us for victory, especially considering Motherwell's good run and he perdicted a win last week. Mind you if he didn't i'm sure Big Terry would be knocking on the door with something too say.
  24. Happy birthday LG.

A massive weight will be lifted of the team if we can get off the bottom and i only think that if we do soon we will go nowhere but up.
