  1. Black hasn't formally signed anything to do with a contract with Hearts, he is not able to as he is still under contract with ICT. What he has done is said that he will sign a contract for Hearts when his current contract runs out with ICT. However, the pre-contract agreement is not actually legally binding, and he could re-sign for ICT if he wanted to. "Ian Black today SIGNED a pre-contract agreement to join Heart of Midlothian Football Club at the end of this season." Headline from the official site of Hearts at the time and he could have signed for whoever he wanted when he only has less than 6 months remaining on his ICT deal.
  2. We are kind of forgetting that Black has agreed and formally signed a contract to play for another club next season. He has made it quite clear that he remains fully committed to the cause of keeping us up but at the same time said he remained committed to Hearts for next season and i respect him for that. He could have gone in January easily. Regardless of where we are next season he has made up his mind. If Butcher had come in a month earlier when he should have then may'be things would have been different for not just Black but Cowie as well but things are the way they are and we just have to accept it. If Butcher manages to convince him to stay then i think he should be given the freedom of Inverness but i think we have to be realistic here. Blackie will be living a sort of dream. Playing for his boyhood team, earning a wage he deserves and playing Europe. He will earn alot more at Tynecastle no doubt about it.
  3. Ludovic Roy will be a free agent in the summer. He would be half decent cover provided he stays fit.

    Under 21 Rule

Stupid rule. Deprives some senior players of a place in the team when they perhaps merit it. They should only be in the team if their good enough to play.

    Michael Mcgovern

County and Shamrock?? As far as i know he is a decent keeper. I think he has been in the Northern Ireland squad once or twice.
  6. Support is vital for the closing games. Would love to get to the away games but exams are such a burden there. We just can't afford to slip up to the frustrating crap that Hamilton play if they take the lead. I'm hoping we get right in their faces to start with and get the opener. If we do i think we will win.
  7. Kerr and Black are the best central midfield we've had in a long time i think. I'll admit there were times when i felt he was just too hot headed to sustain a regular place in the team but after watching him this season, simply get the head down and get on with his football and even after he said he was leaving he said he was fully commited to us until the end of the season. I have to admit i was wrong to think he would never change. We are going to miss him alot. It would be a miracle if he stays but i just don't see it.
  8. McGuires contract expires next season. He isn't going anywhere i think.
  9. Given the fact that he was inheriting a very unsettled and patched up squad i'd say he has done a wonderful job. In the 3 days left in the market he made 2 excellent signings in Brian Kerr and Richie Foran and a decent player in Eric Odhiambo who have all shown how capable they are of playing for the team. He has also brought performances out of misfits like Barrowman, Proctor and of course Djebi-Zadi. He has also instilled a togetherness back into the team as team spirit and morale seems high again, performances are not always good but they get results and TCS has become a place for teams to fear again as we have only lost 1 league game there since he arrived. Also the vital games we have played like last week, Ibrox and the last gasp point against the Accies have been very inspiring performances that i would never have thought we would get back in December/January time. Conclusion will be when we hopefully confirm survival which i'm hoping will be before the end of the season and if this is the case i only hope that Big Tel will remain at the helm for a long time as he is a manager that clearly has the pedigree we needed.
  10. Proctor, Foran, Kerr, Morais, Mihadjuks, Djebi-Zadi and Vigurs. Not fussed about McBain and Wood. Butcher and Malpas surely need to get their deals extended. I'm saying all this on the basis that we survive of course.
  11. Who else saw Didier Drogba's rant at the camera last night? Regardless of what the outcome was you do not behave like that! Man U vs Barca, Messi vs Ronaldo, all sounds so much better than Man U vs Chelsea....again. But i think Stevie Wonder would have spotted Pique's handball, terrible, terrible refereeing.
  12. Home form has been vital for us since Butcher came in no doubt about it and i'm so glad that it has improved since he arrived. All being well it remains a fortress for the remaining 2 games as well as pick up some results away.
  13. 04/05 was my favourite, and it i got loads of autographs on it after i grew out of it.
  14. Out of contract at the end of the season and is under the impression he won't get a new one. Especially if Aberdeen don't make Europe. Has been blighted by injuries over the last year but may be worth a punt on a free if he became avaiable. thoughts??
  15. Barrowman was ok on Saturday and as Johnboy mentioned he is worth a run in the team for the final few games i think. Morais would be more effective out wide anyway, as would Dougie who also had an excellent game. What i will say is that Butcher has injected some confidence into lesser players which is a reflection on what sort of a manager we have....a good one.
  16. 90 minutes of excitement is worth years back in Division 1? No thanks, I want us to be as safe as possible beforehand. Agreed. I would much rather the last game of the season being won as a means of bowing out of a difficult season on a high, with safety already been garunteed for us.
  17. It's the sort of luck we need to get results and tbh i think we deserve it. We've had alot go against us this season. It's nice seeing things go our way for a change.
  18. Esson Tokely, Mihadjuks, Munro, Djebi-Zadi Morais, Kerr, Black, Imrie Foran, Barrowman subs: Fraser, Hastings, Duff, Proctor, Duncan, Morrision, Rooney.
  19. Jimmy Glass for Carlisle a few years ago. Goalkeeper scored the winning goal to keep them up and then the worlds quickest pitch invasion started. If thats not a celebration i don't know what is.
  20. Poom is an excellent keeper. That ex Liverpool and Portsmouth guy Westerveld is also avaiable on a free. Would be an idea to try and pick up a free-be keeper in the summer. If we stay up i'm well looking forward to our summer transfer activity.
  21. It's a massive step towards getting safety and an indication of the confidence Terry Butcher has instilled in the team.
  22. He must have been pritty impressive at centre half for a 77 capped international to be that happy with him. I wouls agree though. He was fairly solid there.
  23. The club don't really give a toss about anything that involves time and money. Only until it starts to be a problem for them.
  24. The La's, There she goes.
  25. Leigh Griffiths at Livingston is attracting alot of attention. 18 goals this season and is said to have great technique. Dundee just had an offer knocked back for him.
