  1. Foran is doubful for Saturday isn't he??
  2. You would think with they way things are this would make him better? Or is it because now everyone seems to be pulling their weight and working as a team he doesn't look as good? Maybe Terry & MM like there strikers to play a bit different and Imrie is not use to it. I think brewster would have done better with Imrie than what Terry and MM can do with him but then again there both defenders so they can tell the strikers about the defenders and what things to look out for you mean like Brew did with Barrowman, McCallister and our other strikers? Brew could play but i didnt really see any evidence that he could coach strikers to emulate him! i believe TB and MM will know how to get the best out of all our players, or at least hope so! In fairness to Brewster he did a good job with Dargo. Dargo was a bit of a misfit at Kilmarnock and we turned him into one of the most prolific forwards in the SPL. I suppose Brewster would think of that as a success story would he not? Mind you Dargo had played SPL football before...
  3. What i was thinking that McSwegan was bit past it by the time he was here and looked really lazy when he played. Glancy was just someone my Dad said wasn't very good for us, i don't know him.
  4. Andy Barrowman Kilmarnock From: 26-07-2006 To: 01-08-2007 Fee:Free Apps: 0 (3) wow, 3 subs appearances for Killie, hardly classed as a chance with killie! i think its grossly unfair to write a player off after a mere 13 league starts for our club!! I have to say it would have being hard to get in the Killie team if they had Boyd, Dargo, Nish and Naismith at that time They seem to be struggling without those guys terribly. Before they left Killie were in immense form and since they all left Kille have fallen down the table greatly.
  5. It's a real shame, he has struggled with injury since he came to ICT. Hoping it is just 2 weeks.
  6. Given the the Barrowman worst ever player topic is attracting alot of attention i thought it would be intresting to see if we could string together a starting 11 of the worst players to pull on an ICT shirt. Who do you think should go in thw worst ICT eleven??? my own being: Zibi Malkowski Vetle Andersen Andrew Allan Chris Miller Paul Bradshaw Darran Thomson Paul McMullan Gary Farqhuar Martin Glancy Marco Di Barros Gary McSwegan
  7. I would have said the exact opposite to that.... I thought he started off well and gradually went downhill. Maybe we can blame Brewster for that of course. Much agreed with Johnboy. Rankin got motm on his league debut for ICT and he throughly deserved it. He was a great player after he got his first 2 goals and never really looked back after that. He did go a bit down hill after about January time and it got worse after he was dropped by Brewster when he returned. But after Rankin was reinstated it was really annoying to see him leave as Brewster had been messing with his head saying he could go then stay.
  8. I don't really remember Darren Mackie having any good games while he was on loan in 2004 and in a way he was a high profile player at the time. And i disagree, Liam Fox was good player. But for some reason he was a GREAT player when he came of the bench. He rescued some vital points for us with his cameos and that lob over Derek Stillie against Dundee Utd in 2005 was class.
  9. While Niculae may not have scored enough goals in his time here there were plenty of times when he showed what a quality player he was. He got several assists as well throughout the season, he always had a trick or two in his locker and he did enough to merit a place in his national side for EURO 2008. While he his wages proved to be a much debated topic during his stay there is no doubt that he brought a big presence to the team.
  10. Perth, East Kilbride, Stirling, Dumfries, Falkirk, patches of Glasgow. Gretna's pritty miserable as well
  11. It would begin a trend of Scottish managers going african with Bobby Williamson already managing Uganda.
  12. As close as we can get to 40 in the next 2 games i think will pritty much secure us...one can never be too sure though.
  13. :018: What drivel. I'll give you places like Seaton, Tilly and Heathryfold but pop into the West End of Aberdeen for example and you might well be wanting to think again. It does seem to be getting worse. I loved it when we ground shared with them. The girl I was with at the time lived literally 3 minutes walk from the ground. I was against the move back to Inverness for this reason The new ground at Loirston is an interesting one. Location wise it is rubbish unless they build a platform at Cove (maybe as part of Crossrail) or have regular buses up to the ground. If they don't fans have a nice 30 minute walk up Wellington Road to get there. I think thats an ok reason for wanting to stay at Pittodrie RiG. :thumb04: But the only 2 occasions i remotely enjoyed a Pittodrie were our first SPL win over Dunfermline and the 1-1 draw with Rangers when Bayne hit that smashing volley. Rest of it was usually crap and i wasn't allowed to attend the midweek games ;)
  14. Very much agreed. And lets hope the Jambos do a favour in Falkirk and we will be 7 points clear.

It hasn't taken Byrne long to pick up an injury...story of his career.
  16. A very fitting tribute and a great idea.
  17. I hated sharing with them. It's even worse than it used to be.
  18. Hamilton will struggle without Offiong for the rest of the season and Kevin Kyle probably won't score again this season my guess: ICT Hamilton Mirren Falkirk Killie
  19. I celebrated with Marius Niculae last season when he came into the North Stand to celebrate his goal vs Killie last year. Does that give me status? The Alan Combe chants are always good fun as well.
  20. If we finish 11th i will be happy. Given the barren spell we had from mid-November to the end of January anywhere but bottom is more than sufficent for me. Anything else along the way is a well made bonus. What does worry me slightly is the inconsistency we are showing atm. Hopefully our home form will steer us clear though. I agree with IHE however, if we beat Hamilton and Hearts do us a favour at Falkirk then i will feel reasonably confident about us staying up.
  21. I miss him. He was a very insparational player and under Butcher i think we really would have seen the best of him again. He seems to have found a bit of form at the Hornets however so all i can say is lets hope he's pulling on a dark blue shirt for the tartan army soon.
  22. Andy Dorman is very much the Steven Gerrard of St Mirren. If he dosen't play on the day then St Mirren are rubbish. Can't see him there next season, regardless of what league St Mirren are in.
  23. Don't you mean Norwich for Marshall?? Craig Gordon is back playing regularly again so i'm not to worried. Neil Alexander could take McGregors place in the team
  24. I'd have thought Bristol would be the nearer Maybe I can enlighten you there guys, the term Gashead is used as a nick name for Bristol Rovers fans, myself one being my home town club, it derives from the days when Rovers played at Eastville Stadium, behind the stadium was the gas works. So to hear that another Gashead also follows the fortunes of Caley is good news, would be interesting to know where you get to at the Mem Gashead, assuming you do, I have been known to wear my ICT shirts in the ground & club house after the match. I'm from Bridgwater and you are correct, I follow Bristol Rovers and have done for 46 years. I do get to the Mem when I can. I went on Saturday against Northampton. Poor game, good result. Shame Caley lost today but I shall be following things next week against Hamilton. Can we have Rickie Lambert?? And we will give Rovers Andy Barrowman in exchange.
  25. I truely do wonder if you are Brewster at times when it comes down to selections, even he would churn at that team, Lionel dosen't have trickyness, he just manages to miscontrol the ball round players. Plus forwards are meant to shoot, i've never seen him get a good shot at goal before. Anyhoo onto my own selection. Esson Tokely, Munro, Mihadjuks, Djebi-Zadi Morais, Kerr, Black, Vigurs Imrie, Foran Fraser, Duff, Proctor, Duncan, Zander(if fit), Rooney, Barrowman
