  1. Lack of experience up front. Up until this season, none of our regular strikers had played SPL football, apart from Barrowman(2 goaless appearences hardly counts). For those strikers we should've signed an experienced forward to play with them. We have no consistent winger that has real speed nor gurantees a good cross. Lack of physical strength and height in defence. Duff is tallest centre half at 6'2 but is quite finely built. We constantly loose goals to big strikers...hence Nish and Billy Mehmet. We also got picked apart by Dundee Utd at set pieces a few weeks ago. We also have this tendency to lack concentration at the start of a half...and sometimes at the end, game at the weekend and the St Mirren and Hibs game are perfect examples. Also some of our key players have been inconsistent this season, Cowie, Imrie, Barrowman, Fraser, Hastings....the only really consistent player has been Blacky evidently.

Fraser Tokely, Duff, Munro, Hastings Cowie, Black, Duncan, Vigurs Rooney, Imrie subs. Esson, Djebi-Zadi, Proctor, Sutherland, Wilson, Barrowman, Wood
  3. Ok thanks for that. I just wanted to know out of curiousity. It makes sense i suppose and i know that you never know really what your going to get from the...but when i hear we have a trialist i automatically think that he will leave and apart from Zadi i was right everytime.
  4. Do we pay for these players to come overseas to Inverness? Because if thats the case then we've really wasted alot of money on trialists we haven't signed. Last year we had the Austrian pair, another Austrian striker and Giany Joinville And this year we had Juanjo, Kiran Bechan, Dan Wagaluka, Enrique Pla...and most recently Ibrahim Atiku (although we still don't know whats happening with him.)

It's not just this season. McBain has been past it for the last 2 or 3 seasons and what really ticks me off is there are players missing out that could do so much better than him. I really think he should step down a league.
  6. Thank you Kencar, someone who knows what he is talking about. McBain is by far the weak link of our starting line-up regardless of what position he plays. He is simply past it. I think he would benefit from dropping down a league at the end of the season. I've watched the highlights and i have to agree Hastings looked pritty poor but that was why we signed Djebi-Zadi, to provide competition for him. He has never really been challenged for it since taking it from Golabek therefore has never really had to work for it to retain it. Could be that Hastings struggles to change back and forth from centre-half for Canada to full-back for Caley Thistle...they are 2 very different positions.
  7. I agree mostly but we defnitely need an experienced striker to partner one of them as none have played consistent SPL football before.
  8. McBain sucks at left-back even as a last ditch replacement. I can't judge wether Hastings was poor yesterday or not but i would certainly rather see what Lionel is capable of first. He is yet to start a game.
  9. George Burley just does not claim the national respect that Alex McLeish nor Walter Smith did. His ideas are good but his ways of suggesting them and presenting them have proved not so good, Kris Boyd and Lee McCullochs omissions from the team being prime examples and the introduction of a dodgy formation leaving our key player McFadden useless. He has not got the experience of a high profile manager, a failed play off final with Derby and getting Ipswich Town into the Uefa cup being his main highlights, all be it he resigned from Derby the following season and Ipswich were relegated a season after entering Europe. Why the S.F.A appointed him is because no one else would take the job. I think the Norway result is now past the "early days" excuse so if he dosen't deliver come next year i think he will be gone unless he goes sooner of his own accord.
  10. Winters is 33, experience i agree but he is mighty slow although he could make a good super sub. From what i hear though he is very popular in Norway. Defnitely don't want Dargo back, not the kind of striker we need. I noticed that Owen Morrison guy is a free agent. He looked a good player when he played for Dunfermline.

Preferably i would have Stephen McManus because he is at least captain of his club...when has Fletcher ever captained a team??? I think he is a half decent player but he can be very slack at times which is defnitely not good at international level. I hear that Burley is famous though for making strange descisions
  12. 1 centre back, preferably a tall one 1 wide player(preferably quick and good crossing) 1 decent and experienced striker to provide competition for Rooney and Barrowman

In my view for January we need a tall centre back, im thinking go for McPake again. And we need a fast wide player, also some proper cover for the strikers.
  14. Alot of the bums on home seats are away fans who have snuck in because they can't get a ticket for the away end for Celtic or Rangers.

    Well thats rather embarassing.

He really was a bit of a waste of time. He was pritty lightweight when he played and when he wasn't playing he was in Finland recuparating with some injury, twice. What i don't get is why they gave him a contract when they knew he wasn't going to play. However in saying that i wonder what he would have been like had he played consistently.
  17. Zander has never been given a run of more than one game too impress. Why i don't know because whenever i've seen him in glimpses he has always looked ok. He's got quick feet, speed(which our wide players lack), good with both feet and he can cross. I've seen all that in just GLIMPSES from him. Rory on the other hand had a run of about 10 games in 06/07 when Dargo and Wyness did in their shoulders and he was crud then. Christie said he was scoring goals for fun in training but he never got a goal for the first team. Why he didnt get kicked out then i dont know.
  18. I know Munros nephew and he said to me that Grant is a pretty much a done deal. Now it's juts Mike and Blackie to go.
  19. He's a chunky wee waste of space who has struggled to find work in his late career so he has reverted to this. See if we make top 6 or even a clear 7th i think i will make the man eat humble pie.

He's clearly one to look out for in the future. Watched him play in the NoS game against Clach and he looked really good. I'm suprised Brew hasn't drafted him into the first team...but i wouldn't want to rush the lad.
  21. Hope he gets himself sorted and potentially back into the game(although im not holding my breath.) Its a real shame to see how he's fallen downn to this.
  22. I don't want Brewster to go but if he did could we consider Malky? Do you think he would may'be develope a mind of his own that says "I can take this job."
  23. He was a tad poor in the first half for me. Paticularly when he managed to get shouldered over by Medhi Taouil. But second half he was back to his old self tidying up at the back then bombing down the flanks. He does need a bit of competition though...but i don't think Proctor's the answer.

Black has said himself he is happy to stay...and frankly i am too. Vigurs and Cowie defnitely need sorted out as well. Despite missing a sitter i thought he really improved the midfield when he came on.
  25. Go 4-5-1 and i think it will be a repeat of last years Tannidice outing.
