Russell Duncan
While i'am the first to admit i'am not his biggest fan i will be the first to admit he has been one of our better players this season. Most games he has played we have got results and most he hasn't we have either lost or failed to get a result, stats don't lie. The last 2 games have been crying out for a defensive presence in midfield, yet the lad was left completely ignored. At one point we had a striker and winger occupying centre midfield last night, that is just not on when Russell is at our disposal. What has the boy done to deserve this? He shores up the midfield when he plays and he always gives 100%, get him back in the starting 11!

ICT -V- Aberdeen : Matchnight Thread
A very disspointing night with a red card that completely dictated the way of the game. Didn't see what happened myself but Maguire was laying it on as thick as he could, he got up and as soon as the linesman flagged collapsed to the floor again. :irritated: Fantastic goal by Jack, but his celebration was not needed. He should've been booked and McArdle should have been red carded. That challenge on Shinnie was disgraceful. Duncan shoudlve been on 2nd half, with Duff reverting to right back. And as usual the forward subs were too little, too late. Doran showed a bit of promise when he came on, look forward to seeing him more. Rooney had his chances but more often than not lacked service, Defence got ran ragged and easy balls seemed so difficult at times. Same old stories. Hoping more new faces arrive soon as we are in desprate need of new options.

Of all the players Adams could go back for it wasnt Gardyne, it wasnt Brittain, not even Barrowboy....it was "Jimmy" Scott I think County will be laughing all the way to the bank with that ?100k, no way is he worth that amount of money.

No end product
Would agree with Manny on pritty much everything he says. The problem is Hayes is the only creative player we have in the middle of the park. Foran is a striker playing left wing, though strangely it works at times. Duncan and Cox are defensive midfielders as is Duff. While they can do simple stuff most times when it comes to craft and vision for carving out attacks they struggle. Especially when we are up against it. Sanchez so far has impressed me but he is a striker. I think we are in need of new players, that is what i want and it is what i think will make a difference. An attacking centre mid, another forward of some sort, some new defenders are needed but i think we have just about enough there just now. From what i could see yesterday, Rooney's mind just was anywhere but the game. He has had long enough to make up his mind and it is about time he let us know what his intentions are as i don't think this is helping the squad either

Top 6 or not top 6, that is the question
Kilmarnock will finish up in the top half and im willing to bet that either Aberdeen or Dundee United will pip us for the other spot, Motherwell are in the mix too. I just think unless we get back to the way we were before christmas we are destined to finish under the top 6.

New faces in January...
He's crocked just now and is not worth the massive wage he would want...no thanks.

ICT -V- Hamilton : Matchday Thread
Duncan and Hayes shouldve started. End of. As soon as Duncan came on the defensive side of the midfield bulked up quite sufficently which i felt was lacking and Hayes looked fit enough to have done an hour. I was dissapointed with todays result but encouraged by parts of the performance. Sanchez was brilliant, Ross worked his socks off and i thought Shinnie did well against Dougie, who i think was struggling to cope with the stick i think, wish i could care. Not sure bout the pen, thought it was soft but need another look. Dissapointed with the 2nd half, felt it dragged on too much and silly mistakes started to creep in, so a point was probably fair. I still think the squad looks a bit stale and i hope 1 or 2 are brought in before the transfer market shuts.

Who'd be a football manager?
If i were Calderwood id shoot my entire team for lack of effort and desrie. He has a good track record down south and was a great player. He has been in charge of what? 9 games? To even think about getting rid of him is ludicrous. Apart from a couple of saves i thought Ayr Utd looked very comfortable most of the game. That must be quite worrying given that Zemmama, Miller and Riordan on the field at once. They remind me of Liverpool, too many underperformers and average joes and imo are in need of a complete overhaul.

Rangers -V- ICT : Matchnight Thread
I assume that means Foran is dropping back into midfield alongside Duff. It means Ross, Odi and Sanchez play behind Rooney. Butcher must fancy our chances tonight if he is starting this many attackers.
