  1. Following information from Easter Road..... The Behind the Goals bar at Easter Road Stadium will be operating a pre match cash bar with the opportunity for fans to purchase hot food such as burgers & pies. The Behind the Goals supporters bar is based in the Famous Five stand and access will be provided from 1.00pm – 2.50pm. Supporters will only be allowed access to Behind the Goals with a valid ticket for the match and this will only be open to Inverness support.

Reports are that Armstrong has confessed to Oprah. If that is confirmed when the interview is broadcast on Thursday, I'm just wondering how the "defence lawyers" on this thread will explain away this latest piece in a long line of damning evidence? Will it be "The tape must have been doctored" or perhaps "If he's a liar then his confession can't be trusted either" ? I stand by everything I said on this thread and still think the whole process in bringing this about is/was highly flawed. The danger now is that you will get calls of "the ends justified the means"...which perhaps they did in this case, but it could so easily be a process used to wrongly vilify others in future.
  3. So, in conclusion, this is just rumour....next!!!
  4. I'd say the average home support is around the 2700-2800 mark this season.boosted by a few hundred for some games and lowered by a few hundred for others Crowds boosted greatly for Celtic,Aberdeen and County The average is probably a wee bit more than that....but even at the levels you suggest, 2000 doesn't outnumber 2700 and that is the point I was making. I hope Aberdeen do bring 2000 to 2500...all money in our pockets. Not sure if i am right but certainly looked like Aberdeen had the bigger support at the September game, was there not 2500 odd away fans at that one? As for this one there will be at least 2000 from what i'm led to believe, although the weather might put some off travelling Looking at the video from the game there's a decent crowd but nowhere near 2500....end sections are practically empty and large gaps at front of some sections. 2000 maybe at a push.

  6. Do the maths.... Our average is 3900 (give or take). In suggesting that Aberdeen would outnumber us with 2000 fans you are basically saying that the average home crowd this season has been about 2000 and visiting teams are averaging 1900+ Don't know what's worse sometimes, the fact papers come up with such ridiculous nonsense, or the fact that people give it the time of day by spreading it around.
  7. Thought Cooper slotted in fantastically well to the current setup. A little nervy on his first outing...but not surprising and would be the same for any player. Wouldn't upset me at all seeing his name on the team sheet for any match.

King is still recovering from injury.
  9. Without having access to the full article (and I refuse to pay 60p for the privilege) then it's impossible to tell if there's any substance to the story or if it's just a bored journalist making something from nothing in order to fill some column inches.
  10. Do you need a sex change? He makes an ugly enough bloke, never mind if he were a woman!!!
  11. What he said.
  12. Just think of the reasons why Ross C*unty struggle in the shadow off ICT and you'll have a close comparison. (That should set one or two folks off).

  15. Not yet they haven't but they will do today according to http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20932584 My understanding is there will be one body running the whole lot. Alex, that article you quoted is from 7th January.
  16. Until we sort out football all the way to grass roots and start bringing through more quality players, then I don't think it makes a lot of difference who the manager is.
  17. We could always invite @easterross81 for you!! Poor Gordy!!!
  18. Tickets are on General Sale now and should be purchasable by anyone!!!

A wiki needs more than one or two people, and it needs almost daily commitment to keep it up-to-date and accurate...and that comes from experience. Scotty and I have been toiling to get the stats up to date and we've been at that for 2 or 3 years (maybe more). Putting the site/software in place is the easy part....entering nearly 20 years of data and information, as well as keeping on top of all the new data and information is not an insubstantial task. Not trying to put people off, but if this is something that is going to happen then people need to go in to it with a full appreciation of what is involved and the commitment required. It would, IMO, be a fantastic thing to have and I hope enough people can be found to support it, get it off the ground and keep it going.
  20. 15 people got round a table to look at both proposals. The majority of them were from the SFL and the consensus from that meeting was that the SPL proposal was the one with most potential for success....with some tweaks. As I understand it, the merging if the league associations was also part of the original SPL plan...which was basically that they would the 12-12 and leave the rest for the SFL to administer on their own. You say that the quest for change will destroy the game....perhaps....but let's not forget that it is the fans who have been shouting loudest for change and not so long ago it was an "anything except what we have" demand that was being laid down. I've already said in this thread why alternatives would not see the light of day (under the current setup) and I stand by that. As for the 14-14-14, some of those who are now claiming this as the way forward were saying in their last breath that there was insufficient quality teams to support a 12-12, but we are now to believe that there's sufficient to support a 14-14!!! They've argued about the finances being insufficient to support 24 teams, but now want to increase that to 28!!! I sometimes wonder if fans have got caught in a mindset whereby they hate the establishment so much that they want any proposal, so long as it's not one they come up with.
  21. So he's out of Scotland the first chance he gets, but wants to dictate what league setup should be put in place before he leaves....Mad Vlad could have some competition!!!
